i was wondering as there are so many forums if any of them are balanced,,this ones violently anti board and in my head the official one was full of "nodding donkeys" or "blue tinters" on here there are little cliques that talk amongst themselves and exclude the offending poster if that person dares to differ in opinion,,,,,,i just wondered if anyone has tried any of these other forums?
be carefull though i might be a secret spy for nick higgs as they apparently have secret agents on here gauging opinions,,what a joke!

:-SI would say that the forum with the most users would generally be the most balanced but if that balance is against your opinion then you will view it as unbalanced if you understand what I am trying to express in a balanced view.

I'm not anti-board & not a tinter either.
I'll dish out criticism if it's required, but I'll also defend the board if I feel it's required too.
That being said, I too feel the majority of this forum is anti-board.

Just this forum or the entire fan base? edit: I should add that I think the majority aren't anti board but are certainly anti their record over the last half a dozen years culminating in the embarrassment of turning the club into a non league one. |

If you don't like someone's point of view then challenge it and provide some "balance". It's not difficult really, is it? I also don't know how anyone can claim to know the majority of the forum user's views and say "this forum is anti-board", I wasn't aware there had been a survey, I must have missed it.

I think the sentiment is spread throughout the fan base not just this forum and only The UWE stops the whole board from imploding or maybe it has and that is what Totend is hinting at with his posts? |

Haha nice one mate, myself I dont tow-the-line in either direction, I go with what I think no matter how disappointing that might be to others, not interested in cliques here, I am not a fan of those who spout on about all being one big Gas family etc, human nature and life in general just aint like that, youve come across that yourself as you have stated above. The answer to your question is no, but I have read them on occasions, this is the first time I have had input into any of them! |

It's easy to set up a cosy little forum with a few dozen users and moderate it to meet your own points of view but this is the largest Bristol Rovers forum where posts are hardly ever edited and very rarely deleted. |

700 or so have registered here ans whether they actually post or not, seem tto be happy to be associated with the so called anti board forum. After all you dont have to register to read it.
If someone has a problem with what someone posts, argue back dont cry about it. I didnt agree with a lot of what certain posters posted on the OF, but i posted back and gave my view point,
Challenging someones opinion makes for better debate then moaning about it being negative. That doesnt add anything does it

I think we just need to find the right balance on this one so it comes the dominant forum, as it's already becoming a pain having to check three forums for news updates/gossip/rumours.

The are two main groups of Rovers fans in my opinion - those who care about the way the club is run and those who are apathetic. This forum is broadly representative of the first group of fans in my opinion, both positive and negative.
Whether you find that balanced or not depends on your point of view. Would an even split of 50/50 pro and anti board be balanced, or would that be unrepresentative?
If you find this place unbalanced, post your own point of view, argue it and hope people agree. That's the only way to tip the balance in favour of your own opinion.

I think we just need to find the right balance on this one so it comes the dominant forum, as it's already becoming a pain having to check three forums for news updates/gossip/rumours. I think things will level out once the season starts - people will go where there are more people discussing the matches, tactics, signings etc. Until then it's just lots of people talking about the only things we've got - relegation, UWE and the board of directors. |

Too right Wes, well said Sir! Getting fed up to the back teeth of people coming on here (or wherever!) and starting threads like this. Pointless, utterly pointless! As Wes said, *YOU* are the forum. *WE* are the forum. Make yourself heard, debate what you wish and make your voice heard. But please, please don't go around sulking and whining about supporters being not at all happy with the club they love being relegated out of the football league and seeing some of the worst times ever in the clubs entire history. If you want an edited, child friendly version of a forum overseen by the club then I'm afraid that particular avenue has now been closed down.  |

And if it is??? Should we all be praising them after our worst run in our entire history? See, it's easy to make a glib statement like that but end of the day you need to examine the WHOLE situation and look at the evidence instead of naively walking around in life expecting the happy clappy brigade to turn up whenever you wish them to. Hooray, the board are marvellous! They've taken us out of the FL, loads of people have lost their jobs, years on no new stadium has been YET delivered. Yay!!! Lets all celebrate like there's no tomorrow! {**Irony Alert**} |

Surely the Club has now reached the bottom and the ONLY way is up ? I personally am still shocked at our exit and not looking forward to seeing the fixture list let alone going to the home matches.
