Shocking really, especially seeing the clubs above us and picturing their grounds.
The team in 54th can't be happy with their position either, considering their modern facilities and riches.

Basel,Gibbo highly rated by Vale fans but N'hams top scorer? ? Think he means Cheltenham. Didn't he score an own goal for them, during the spell at the start of the season when they didn't get the ball in the net themselves, for something like the first 11 games?

JCH agent getting greedier? That was . apparently thrown in as deadlines approached, I heard it was the agent looking to raise the stakes at the final moments ,he seemed to think that BRFC would pay whatever to get the deal done..he ( it seems) blew the deal..not all BRFC doings ... which may upset some people's way of thinking towards the club 🤔 My understanding it was JCH, rather than the agent, that tried to change things at the eleventh hour. And my understanding is we still came to an agreement, and had time to get it over the line.

I get the feeling that B*****'s appointment stopped lots going, and attracted lots of others to start. I wonder whether his sacking has not brought back the former, while removing the latter. It's just a thought. There's probably a lot of reasons for season ticket sales falling. I imagine there's a fair few who bought tickets for a stand that wasn't ready until January (and let's face it, was never going to be ready before the start of the season, and was only partially ready then), who ended up being messed around, being moved to different parts of the ground each game, having to get a different ticket each game, not knowing where they'd be until the last minute, sometimes getting refunds ...

On the subject of handing a spare season-ticket to someone else...
If someone from our little group was unable to attend, I'd try to see if anyone I knew was interested in coming. It's never been an easy sale! But on the odd occasion I'd taken a friend to a game it was always someone who wouldn't have gone otherwise - either a Rovers fan who only goes to the occasional match, or a neutral who would come along just to watch a game and for the social.
In these circumstances the club would benefit: someone might attend more often because of this, and although they've got in free the club gets more money than they would have otherwise through another programme sale, a pasty and maybe a pint or two from the bar.
Yet more shooting themselves in the foot.

A lot of talk in other places at how this discriminates against our older supporters, who don't have smart-phones. But what about kids who won't have any phone at all? I don't know how this works - can adults have more than 1 account on their phone? The club didn't care about these types of groups going cashless, I don't think they'll care about anything else but fleecing the vulnerable.. Yep. On the subject of cashless... Ever stood in a queue for a programme, from one of the booths (if there are any left)? The card machines are so slow, it takes about 5 minutes a transaction. And once I went to get a pasty from the hut and they couldn't get my credit card to work (first tap, then swipe). After a while they just waved me on, so I got a free pasty!

Southgate is overly cautious. Plays negative football when it really counts. An unhealthy obsession with Maguire. A bit of a creep. A squad of no alarms and no surprises. However the squad will be fitter, happier. Chests pumped out as we hear the National Anthem played for the first time. England will look good in the early stages. Fans will be optimistic. They dream. Nice dream. A settled 3-5-2. Hopefully England will finally have everything in it's right place. Bellingham will be the stand out performer. The final piece of the jigsaw falling into place. I might be wrong, but I think England will lose in the first big game they face. Knives out. Southgate will get slaughtered as we look to burn the witch. Ultimately supporters will feel let down. Left high and dry. People get too emotional. Too emotionally invested. Tears before bed-time. There, there. Advice: Don't get sentimental, it always ends up drivel. Have I missed any out? Do you do this a lot? Not noticed before! :-)

Surely this contravenes some trading law. I entered into a contract with BRFC, and have already paid for a 2024/25 season ticket (£500 was bad enough as it is!!), and now I'm being asked to part with another £15 for a new card (never set up any payment schemes on my phone and no wish to do so). www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/20242/april/202425-season-ticket-update/

Anyhoo, I was envisioning vomitories that basically line up with the existing staircases either side of the existing structure (might need more than two). Linking up with the South Stand was a requirement too far for me, on my MosCoW matrix it was a nice to have, not a must have. Will look further in to my black mirror to see what I can glean from the angels about building stands... What are the vomitiries for? Incase people drink too much at the bar pre-match? Well, in a way yes, as the etymology of Vomitorium is 'spew forth'. But in the visual way that the crowd of people spew forth and exit out of the stadium, rather than the crowd being physically sick.

I was going to say weren't we told at the start of the season we had a "Top 8 budget"... and then read Hussain AlSaeed's interview yesterday, which mentions it: www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/reasonable-league-hussain-alsaeed-outlines-9237357When we signed Jevani Brown, people were saying how good our attacking options were. And now at the end of the season people are saying quite the reverse. The excitement about Brown joining meant that the top 2 League 1 players for goals and assists, in the previous year, would be in our ranks. But I was a bit sceptical: Collins goals had dried up the end of last season, and looking at Brown's record he hadn't been anywhere near as prolific in years prior to at his stats at Exeter last season. Another cause for fans to be bullish was the owner of a rival club in our division (I think it was Peterborough) said that we were a team to watch because of our recruitment (bear in mind that Brown didn't cost a penny). All this resulted in many on the forums to start posting we'd assembled our: "Best squad ever."

Snowflake, what does it mean? To get upset about something not worth getting upset about, basically. What, like if someone got upset about being banned from an inconsequential football forum, where you're chatting with only about 20 other people, and you don't even know them, and the only thing you have in common is you support the same team, and you just end up arguing half the time?

A Rovers and Spurs fan wrote a Twitter thread about Rovers, to receive Joseph Anthony B*****'s unpleasant response. When will it all end!! Point 1 Well, JB admitted himself that we were fortunate to sign Elliot Anderson. Some team like Luton pulled out of signing Elliot on loan at the eleventh hour, and we'd missed out on the strikers we were after in the January window. Newcastle were desperate that Elliot went somewhere on loan to get game time, and there was Bristol Rovers, with 5 minutes to go, needing to make some sort of signing. Although Rovers ended up achieving automatic promotion, we were only inside the play-off positions by 4 points. I believe that Elliot Anderson (that fortunate signing) gained us more than 4 points during his time with us.

And something else a bit strange... JB saying: "He's a fantasist who was Tommy Widds spy in our camp." JH saying: ""Joey came in and for the first week or two, Tommy was in the training ground every day..." ... ""It was after we lost to Wigan 2-1 in midweek, and then we came in on the Thursday." ... ""I was in every day at that point as well and, to be fair, I don’t remember speaking to Joey for the first few weeks." - JB was appointed Monday 22/02/2021. - Rovers 1 Wigan 2 next day on Tuesday 23/02/2021. Which means... a) The timeline doesn't match up, as the Wigan game was the day after JB's appointment, so he couldn't have been here for a few weeks - unless JH has got the wrong game. b) Either way, JH says the incident happened the Thursday after a mid-week game, and the first day after TW wasn't around, so he would have been 'spy in the camp' for 1 whole day.

When will all this end? Will there be more to come out in public? Will others spill beans, or prefer a quiet life and just move on?
- Clint Hill left in a hurry. - Kevin Bond mysteriously left, then just as mysteriously re-appeared as soon as JB left the building. - Westbrooke sent to train away from the first team? There were others I think. - Players called out in public: Thomas (twice); Collins; Belshaw; Clarke; Rodman (any others?) - makes you wonder what else went on behind closed doors.

Not saying we deserved to win (far from it), but 2 good strikes, beat the goalkeeper, only to hit a defender on the line.
When your lucks out, it's well and truly out.
