You was right. It's all about the 'was', Dido. Football speak round here. "Was you watching the game?" ... "They was good today, weren'tum." ... All goes back to "The boy done good." It's all over Football Focus, MoTD ... even The One Show nowadays. Lord Reith is doubtless turning in his grave

I didn't know. Seems to be par for the course with me these days On the subject of ufo's, I saw one once. Many years ago - propbably 30 or more - but the shape and speed were like nothing I could logically find an explanation for. Not convinced we've ever been visited by beings from another world, but it's possible I guess. And for the pedants, I know the apostrophe is wrong, but the word looks odd without it. Hi, pedant here! (or, as this is a football forum: "Pedant fan in peace here! - UTG!") Spell it in uppercase and you'll be fine: UFOs (or U.F.O.s if someone was tempted to out-pedant me). An acronym rather than a word. Unidentifiable flying object s*** Unidentifiable flying objects s*** 🤔 I think better without the s Anyway, to be really pedantic, they are not even called that anymore. UAP from like, sometime a while back but no one told you. UFO so 1970s.

Appreciate it's a just a little jokey, a cartoon you've stumbled across and thought fitted well here, but I hope I don't come across as smug (or indeed that others do), as that is furthest from the truth. I've often been picked up on things, had spelling corrected, and thanked people for doing so. Whereas others get defensive and bring out the 'Grammar Police' reply. The way I look at it is you're never too old to keep learning.

starts on Monday. Is anyone going? Will Frostie acknowledge it before the outcome is known? Will the rest of the British press be all over it?
place your prognoses here...

Why would anyone travel to Sheffield for this ? I really find it odd if our fans turned up. I don’t think it would do him any favours anyway.

Still think there must be better things to do than be in a courtroom. I hope I never see another in my lifetime

I hope I never see another in my lifetime the Sainsbury's trial was stupendously dull, and quite long, but still quite a few gas went to see bits of it

He’s at home in Sheffield eating his beloved wife’s cottage pie at last so has the shortest commute! In all seriousness, clearly there has been some sort of agreement not to dare even touch it as a story - nobody at the club has ever even acknowledged it to date! Be interesting to see what happens after the event from a reporting/media basis.

Barnsley Chronicle covering the story extensively, none of this BS from James Piercy at the Bristol Post writing that the trial is sub judice and you can't even print the trial is taking place.

"covering the storey extensively" - I could only find one small article, stating that Court proceedings begin on Monday. Joey's Court Case

NH “gave” them a free 5 year ST at the UWE for their efforts. Feel bad for them both
