At what point in time were Bristol Rovers told that they had zero options other than to employ somewhat abrasive Colin or convicted thug Barton? I had to ask who Colin waxxxr is but why call him Colin mate ? I know it’s a silly question but I’d love to know. Thanks in advance colin w****r is an anagram

Exactly. It’s a hypothetical you are strangling yourself in all this time, but as indicative of occasions you have to chose the lesser of two evils, and for irrational and ill thought out reasons a few people thought Barton the worse option than Warnock. Parksey suggested we put the Organ Grinders pet thug in charge so the response was why not Warnock himself rather Hill? It's you who first said that, in this hypothetical situation, you would go for Colin. I don't want either of them. So whilst a half decent attempt at deflection, it doesn't get you off of the hook. As far as I can understand the code you speak, you are saying I chose Warnock? Have you any evidence for such slander? In a forced choice between Barton and Warnock, I have been Barton all the way through. That’s my whole point, weighing the lesser of two psyche. it’s okay, I’m not asking you to apologies for slander. 🙂 Let’s boil the tallow here, a simple question we can all understand and yes or no. “The Devil can have my soul, alongs Rovers stay up.” ”The Devil can have my soul, alongs Rovers go up.” Is this ever the right attitude?

But that's not what you did. You compared the two and said that you preferred Barton's personality. But as Alf points out, if you want to know about making pacts with the Devil, we have a resident expert, ask him.

But as Alf points out, if you want to know about making pacts with the Devil, we have a resident expert, ask him. Personality? That’s easy to read. You can know someone for years and maintain your same opinion of their personality, having it confirmed so often. But you may think you know someone’s character, and then realise you don’t know it at all. You don’t know them at all. Personality is largely hereditary. Your character though, is based on your beliefs. Most of us are born into a family. But we mainly get our character from our tribe. A tribe can hold the world at arms length. Forget everything from the cave, about being animal, and never know what it is to be at one with landscape and sky. Or a tribe can see as shepherds before it all began, the money making schemes, the morbid fear of just about everything. The personalities between tribes can be much the same, but their character very different. Whilst we will want to like the people we already like, we will do so on personality and be blind to true character. So you appreciate how one tribe will queue to sell its soul to the devil. The other will not. There’s a top tip for employers for you - employ on character not personality 😆

No response needed for Bus Boy. He's talking psychobabble. He mentioned Scylla and Charybdis; that`s quite impressive. Mind you, if he got it from The Police rather than Homer, it`s possibly not quite so impressive.

Because, of course, on the pitch Barton was a model professional. That’s not a response. You can spin a YouTube reel making a lot of players look petty and red Misty on a pitch down the years, truth is the Barton reputation was made off pitch, cigars stubbed out in eyes for example, prison for GBH, lengthly ban for betting. I am explaining something very different, the psyche of two men. Two very different psyche. Barton’s is instinctive, perhaps immature. Warnock is very different. Warnock represents that dark, venal, and incurably violent side of the human character in ways Barton just cannot match. Warnock, reactionary. Barton, progressive. Barton seeks to place the wild intelligence within his body at one with landscape and sky. Warnock is that the scientist, that Theologian who holds the living world at a distance. The reason why the human race s***s it’s own nest for all to see on this thread, if you would follow Warnock, not Barton. Drivel, but another fine post from a forumer in a rich vein of recent form More of this sort of thing to help tide us over the summer please

Au contraire, a distinctive voice I thought I'd go so far as to say I think he's currently sans pareil Awfully polite of you, my dear a_more. So, Epps, what did you find? There are many Emperor’s in the universe - but only one Emperor Superb 😁 It’s pretty straightforward, here you are - Personality, you get from first birth into your family, funny, extroverted, energetic, optimistic, confident—as well as overly serious, lazy, negative, and shy as some traits. Character you get from your second birth, into your tribe. traits like honesty, virtue, and kindliness. That treating others in the right way is important. sympathy, loyalty, reciprocity, bravery, respect, fairness, all come from tribe membership. Tribe you could try to read across as religion, nationalism or society, or the second birth honouring some form of rite of passage, perhaps earn’t in some way by displaying resilience and wisdom. Wisdom doesn’t burst forth fully developed like Athena out of Zeus’s head; it is built up, small step by small step, from most irrational beginnings. The second birth used to be recognised by a Dithyrambic ceremony, before we forgot such things so regarded all Emperor Superb’s solid anthropology as drivel or psycho babble and pseud. Raised here on basis employers, such as football clubs, should employ on basis of character, not personality. Alas, we appear to live in an age of reality TV and Social Media, where personality matters more - Donald Trump is a President and Barton deemed a fit leader of a football club. Is this on character, or personality? The observation posted here by forum members, Rovers owner seems to enjoy association with personalities and celebs, very telling observation. Has it been you posting that Duke?

And the Devil will find you. Drift into being a drug dealer or too easily recruited by ISIS. Or just as telling, those reality TV personalities who go to Royal Ascot and get their tits out or pour lager onto people below off balconies and then moon. Older than children but lacking strong character traits, still children the lot of them.
