Wtf is the “ The German “ about ? I have popped on here and see this 💩 and can see that some will go to incredibly silly lengths, to back this alleged attack. Does it matter what country a man comes from in vaughan world ? Sat here in shock. Go on, call me a snowfake, maybe I can then beat someone up and say it’s because they called me names ffs Calm down. Calm down. I was being ironic. I’m perfectly calm, much is lost in writing

I assume you are talking about Joey but he is a Scally so not sure why he would get upset about it. No idea if it makes it any worse, but the report was that he was called a 'f***ing scally'. I don't know a lot about Stendel and his English is probably better than mine, but I find it hard to imagine him using a term like Scally

I have no idea who said or who did what, but a bit of swearing and name calling would come as no great surprise. But I agree, it is a bit of a 'streetwise' word for someone who has English as a 2nd language. Having said that, you can imagine what the language may be like in a typical dressing room, so he's probably learned quite a few similar words.

It was very uncommon to find any Dutch or Germans who didn’t speak English. We, in general, do not try to attempt even a few small phrases, when abroad. I love different languages and feel a compulsion to try to use them. Whatever the case, name calling is not fighting talk

His English is probably better than Barton's :-)

“Bristol Rovers have been forced to remove an article from their website containing an astonishing rant from Joey Barton about their previous managers. Sportsmail understands Rovers took swift initial action after receiving contact from lawyers on behalf of ex-boss Paul Tisdale. Barton was appointed Rovers manager in late February, replacing Tisdale who succeeded Ben Garner in November. And Barton sparked controversy in March by accusing his predecessors of ‘negligence’ in their handling of the squad he inherited and labelling their training sessions ‘a farce.’ In a statement released to Sportsmail, Tisdale said: ‘There was no basis for these allegations and I’m pleased that the club has decided to take Joey’s comments off its website. I wish Joey and the club all the best.’ Barton hit out as he battled to keep Rovers in League One, having taken over when they were two points above the relegation zone. He was ultimately unable to as they were relegated with two games left and finished bottom. With years of experience and understanding of the things managers say to suit their own agendas, Tisdale – an advisor to Colchester United for the final six weeks of the season – is understood to have no issue with Barton. Instead it was with his former employers for allowing the potentially libellous comments to go unchecked and also helping push them into the public domain. Rovers took a story containing the offending comments down though the matter is understood to be ongoing. Ahead of Bristol Rovers’s defeat against Sunderland at the end of March, Barton said: 'They've set these boys up for failure and we've got to try to reverse that trend. 'Whatever has gone before me has been negligent. If they were doctors, they should certainly be struck off for what's gone on here before. I could show you the footage of the training sessions. They're a farce. It wasn't done correctly. How do I know that? Look at the league table. Look at the fact two managers have been removed from the job. 'Two-and-a-half-hour sessions on a Friday — what chance have the lads got? It's like having a 15-round spar the night before you have a 12-round scrap. 'It's because they don't know what it's like to go in the ring, the Colosseum. They've read it in a book and they've done it on a course and they don't know. It's criminal.'”

What a complete mess isn't it.
Barton shouting his mouth off about how rubbish everybody else has been then goes on to do the exact opposite of what he says he's capable of and manages to make a bad situation much worse.
So how do Rovers reward him? Give him more control of course.
This club sure does need to hit the 'Reset' button.
Good job we have a professional communications department though, or we could get into difficulties...

A thread of self indoctrination into football resentment and misery.A distinct lack of anything remotely positive, understanding and respect of football club hierarchy and system.Destructive.
Bloody awful.
Edit. Not every post or poster, perhaps needs saying.

Bloody awful. Edit. Not every post or poster, perhaps needs saying. for the record, I think when he came in shooting his mouth off about keeping us up, he genuinely believed it. He knew he was facing a break from football with a ban, he really wanted something strong and attractive on his CV to sign off with. it’s not the relegation on it that is bad, it’s the manner he has achieved it. A side not in bottom four, hardly have been all season, slips to bottom with hardly a whimper. So you can warble on as much as you want basil, there’s not a shred of doubt in my mind, despite all Barton’s front, if he could time machine back four months he would do a great many things differently. So it’s the proper thing for us fans to dissect exactly that.

All that stuff about his cv and facing a ban is just hopeful speculation on your part. The squad he inherited from BG and TW was heading downwards.Maybe another type of manager might of got more out of them because as JB said,he would not of assembled that lot together. JB will probably get his chance next season with his signings. He deserves this.

Unfortunately, more depends on what finance is available for the manager, whoever he might be, to spend on building a team able to win matches. Gerry Francis and Darrell Clarke were exceptional men - it remains to be seen if Joey Barton can work wonders when there is no money available for wages and/or transfers.

I think JB and WAQ would of had a good chinwag on this Knowall. JB has fitness high on his list of priorities for players. This season from 70 minutes,we often struggled. Not fit enough.JB has a point. I think he has a plan and WAQ will back him. As you say, time will tell. There are no 'fallen giants' in the 4th tier next time,a la Bolton Wanderers.Salford and Mansfield have a few job I think. I think we'll be challenge.

And whoever is our manager next season will have to work with all if not most of them. Tad awkward for any manager who has slagged them of publicly. Whoever is manager hasn’t long next season to get us out bottom 9, as fan base will be expectant. And they will need to be ingenious/lucky in some great signings made this summer.

What makes you sure he hadn’t done anything worthy of a ban, and you are not hopefully speculating? If he has done the crime, and because of his previous, he deserves the ban. That’s what he he will deserve.

Those figures will only show where we were this time last year and won't even show if the debt has been cleared as was promised.
