Weal is a simpleton. He is the central problem. A gerbil in a china shop. I’m pretty sure many know this to be the truth of it yet they seem to be unable to say it. He and his experts have torn apart a rebuilt team and taken us back to the worst of times. He could not stop being in the media after the promotions but has now gone to ground. He really should have made an effort to address us but his silence is deafening. The buck stops with him. Decision making has been beyond abysmal. He was on Instagram the other day showing off his Rovers trainers. That seemed to keep the faithful happy.

I'll transliterate it my way, if that's all right with you.
While we're about it, why don't you call yourself Basle? That's the good old English rendering of the city that's Basel in German, Bâle in french, and a bit schizophrenic about what country it's actually in.
If you don't mind me saying. And if you do mind, you can stop putting Descartes before de whores.

I could'nt careless in what order ladies of the night, carts, horses and a French bloke 'thinking about it' come.Anyway you want baby. I pointed out Wael/Weal against my better judgement, would'nt normally be so irritating (at least deliberately),but seeing as it was a person of your wordiness calibre, the nature of your post and I did wonder how you might respond. Now i know. Basel is how the people of the great city pronounce it.Most of them at least. They know full well they are Swiss.

When I was young(er) and naive, I thought Paul Buckle was bringing together a new, high performing BRFC. He spoke well and had a bit of passion about him. I had high hopes.
What I learned was that behind the words you need not only action, but to bring others along with you. Telling interviewers that you’re a winner and how high your standards are compared to everyone else at the club doesn’t wash with players. With each passing defeat the excuses grew, players were singled out and things spiralled downhill from there. Even after leaving, Buckle blamed the culture of the club which he could not change and said he did everything right.
He’s no longer a manager. No doubt he was right in a lot he said, but he couldn’t change it.
I can see history repeating

I like that post from that Impaler fella/fellass.....of course, Mr Kite had other ideas of expressing himself (allegedly)..
During Mr Dave Penny short reign, I was fortunate to meet him shake hands and was invited into dressing room pre MK Dons match at home....it was a quiet affair, no one was talking, little or no fun atmosphere, but when you got chatting to Hoskins, Bolger, that Reading keeper whom followed us after his loan spell (can't remember his name), and found out I towered over Joe Kuffour! I was left perplexed....I had just seen Wayne Someone (from Fulham, 5' tall) pull up in a brand new Mercedes, and he was destined NOT to feature that night or many matches after.
Conversely, MKD left their dressing room with ba ba boom music, them all dancing and up for it (they were promoted that year) and body language was far more upbeat and positive...
Dave Penny was very nice to me. Greeted us in a suit, very professional. But you just knew he didn't fit in.
Culture works both ways... DC didn't seem to mind our culture. GF appeared to fit in (in his first stint).....and it didn't do GC any harm either.
Finding someone to fit us as a manager sometimes requires us to fit them too. Not always, but I think that's important when it comes to taking our club forward.

Do you know, I honestly can't remember all of the managers we've had since then, maybe; Buckle, McGhee Ward Players'Union Tisdale Clarke Coughlan Garner Barton 3 or 4 caretakers? When was Buckle here, 2012, so not even 9 complete seasons? look at that list, consider that Clarke was in place for over 4 years, that leaves 8 other full time appointments covering 5 seasons, take off a handful of games for the caretakers, take off the 9 or 10 matches left for this season, that's around 25 or so games per manager. What's my point? This just shows the rank stupidity of not making 100% certain that Coughlan was happy, settled, secure and knew beyond a shadow of doubt that he was loved by everybody at the club.

Wayne Brown, I think Playing for Sutton now, along with another nondescript Rovers player from that era who is so nondescript his name escapes me!

Wayne Brown was good, played in Aus for a season and scored a couple. That’s the one. I guess he’s found his level now? I recall him being one of the better players of ours from that era but even so it was a hell of a time to be a Rovers fan and we are probably heading back to those days unfortunately.

Anyone noticed who’s the favourite for the Preston job? 😂 😂 Good spot Sir! Mr Punchy is favourite at Evens. That's cheered me up a bit. You think Rovers will lose some of the Stone Island clad support to the Lilywhites? Fingers crossed on both counts.

Update - Skybet just moved him to 4-6. It's my birthday tomorrow. This could be conclusive proof that there is a God.

One look at our tents and who wouldn't want to manage Rovers?
