That's odd. Sometimes 'he who shall not be named' comes up as "B*****" and sometimes "toxic turd". Other Mods to advise what to do with how we name the spiteful, nasty, bullying, narcissist. And if that means having people occasionally type in long hand his name from links. So be it. Tough toxic turd.

An on going project. He would of got there given time imo. Unlike Garner, who was pass pass pass ad nauseam. Maybe JB needs a FC with a few bob,so he can coach players of a higher quality. Anyway,we are where we are.🤞 Sooner or later he will be given time Bas. I got it, eventually.

Bas, it may have looked good playing 'tippy tappy football' but the stats didn't back it up. In a number of games we had 60% possession, and literally NO shots on target or otherwise. You do remember matey that you need to score goals to win games! Teams just let us have the ball because we played lovely football even using the keeper, but all in our own half. We were not a winning team when he left! A work in progress. It was "fantastic" at times. Our owner sacked JB not because of results unless he knows even less about football than I think. He sacked him because hecould'nt handle him, imo. I think JB would of got through a poor spell and we would now be in a stronger position. Right now,the feeling of misery and lack of confidence regarding Rovers is thoroughly disapointing. Fingers crossed Taylor can get something together. I agree.. Up until he got sacked I have never seen as many games following us where we had played so many teams off the pitch but just didn't get the goal needed as we did last season. It was almost every game I thought to myself "how did we not win that".. As you said we were a work in progress and you could see that under JB progression was being made and he probably would have come out of that bad spell he was having at the time and been successful. He got fired for his actions out of the dugout, rather than in it. I find it odd when people say that JB was a shocking manager when he gave us a promotion, yet defend Ben Garner!!?? ...who in my opinion is the worst manager in BRFC's History. ( And amazingly this man keeps getting jobs🤮😱😂) Joey from his CV could, and rightfully should be considered for jobs in L1/L2.But he won't due to he personality and history away from his CV. He knows this as well, and is probably when he is going to be a successful podcaster.

But it is one I strongly oppose, like many other people. His departure (whatever the circumstances) was always going to lead a rift. It's why the support base is divided. The Club has lost it's identity. It doesn't seem to know what it is. United we stand, divided we fall. I'm not part of the "we" anymore.

Performances were not terrible ( well from what I remember maybe his last one was?) and myself and many others were completely shocked by him leaving. We were under performing in the table but you could see where we were going. Since he departed and under Taylor we have no identity or A) style, or B) attitude. We seem flat, and passionless as a football team.Im not wanting Joey back but I just this far not connected with Matty Taylor. He needs to get some class players in over the next few weeks or we are going to be in trouble.

Surely this dictatorship or sensership needs to stop on our forums? Freedom of speech and all...? Does that not exist on Rovers forums nowadays..?

While I obviously disagree profoundly with Bas and Ice regarding B a r t o n, the censorship with * * * * * * (or T o x i c T u r d) is getting boring, and I agree with them on that, entirely. Joey B a r t o n was Bristol Rovers manager, and we need to be able to discuss that as adults, without needing the spaces or euphemism.
When you've finished your fun, please desist.

in a very puerile way, I'm enjoying the new nomenclature Joseph induces technicolour yawns! I am very puerile, there's no denying that. That's why I did it. In Germany after WWII there was a comprehensive process of de-Nazification. In a similar way, the Mods decided to remove that name from the Forum. To help remove the stain on the Club's reputation. It was a joint decision. If referring to the former manager as a toxic turd offends, then I can assure you I found his appointment infinitely more offensive. Toxic turd might stay. It might go back to *****. Something else might be suggested. I'll go with the majority decision. Bloody democracy. Over to JeffNZ and Cheshiregas to advise. The other Mod irishrover walked away in disgust when Wael had his brain fart and employed the thug.

In the 50s and 60s and even into the 70s many of the officials in all levels of German politics, national and regional governments had been card-carrying nazis. Nuremberg dealt with the head Nazis, the rest got away to South America through the rat run and support of the Catholic Church or just laid low for a year or two before emerging in all levels of government. A disgrace really but probably not for this thread! UTG!

I think Joseph recently achieved more coaching qualifications, or is about to. I think a FC with a few bob might hire him as Manager. Depending on who was available on hiring ,I would give him a job as manager. The football he got Rovers playing was at times fantastic, that of a high level. The comedown in the quality of football since he left is in part why I feel Rovers have entered a 'dark age'. On considering what abject failiures Managers Messrs Lampard,Rooney,John Barnes,Gary Neville etc were, then i am absolutely sure Joseph is a better manager than that lot ( maybe Wayne Rooney will yet succeed at Argyle ). A 2nd tier FC would suit a return for Joseph. I am happy to put 100 quid on it that he will never manage a football club again, unless a pub or celebrity team. He has shown his dark side on X. He is a toxic human being who deserves all the karma coming
