I had no idea that ducks had such thin skin. Must help the power to weight ratio when flying. Adios. I'm going to miss the Duck, remarkable bird, the Shoveler, isn'it, ay? Beautiful plumage! You wont miss him for long,he has left this forum more times than Bartons caused a controversy.

Shame that Shoveler has departed (good riddance actually). Hoist on his own canard. I was saving up the information that 'mestolone' in Italian means both: (i) shoveler duck (ii) oaf, dimwit. Sums it up entirely, does it not. Mind you, he knew this anyway through his 'Italian for Simpletons' (Mad Hatter Press 10/6). You really are some nasty piece of work.

He hasn't died, you know. Merely stomped off in a deluge of petulance.
He was very thin skinned, so he was.
A bit like you in fact.
I posted a quack reply.
Cheer up and remember the Vistula.

Fair point. I vote 'yes'. JeffNZ Cheshiregas - what do you think? Even when the sanitised version "B*****" is mentioned, I still get a whiff of canine excrement. I note the previous manager has "upped the anti" on social media. I believe it is probably best to deny that 'thing' oxygen. I like the idea of the anchor, like the man himself, let the thread disappear into oblivion. I agree, Shoveler migrating early isn't he? Shame to see him go, but a favourable wind may bring him back. Anchor, I say!! That's the thread by the way.....

I seem to remember that this thread got anchored after the latest promotion
Due to the mods expanding their role from rule adherence police to 'mood managers' on the basis that they wanted to allow the B*****istas and others to enjoy the promotion unfettered by other perspectives
I suppose anchoring is consistent with previous mood management

Articles (the latest of which should surely be a wake up call to those who could not see why he should never have been anywhere near this club) still link him with us. When the world forgets then maybe we can. And I hope Shoveler is back very soon - I was looking forward to hearing from him post match today.

Alright then, do as you must. I give up. Oh dear. This B***** bloke really does divide the fanbase. And he’s been gone a month or two now as well. 🤔 As Masala said just before he died after the chariot race in the film Ben Hur to his nemesis Ben Hur: “It goes on Judah, it goes on…..”. It seems quite apt. Sleep on it. Stuff seems better after a good sleep. 👍 UTG!

He’s turned into a caricature of his worst self. He’s got as much longevity as Mr Blobby.

One man alone appointed this subhuman reptile as manager of the club. I hope the Al Saeeds never allow this minority shareholder anywhere near any football decisions in the future, in fact, the best thing they could do is buy his shares, remove him completely and give the club a fresh start.

Why is it so difficult for people to see that he is having a breakdown? Just leave the guy alone. Stop searching for his comments and let's concentrate on the rest of the season.

It was headline news on the bbc website. Difficult to miss unfortunately. I don't know about a breakdown but there's definitely something very wrong with the bloke. He should never have been inflicted on us and the sooner he disappears into oblivion the better. But that's not what he wants so we're stuck with hearing about the nonsense he spouts, and having him linked with Rovers. The solution is in his hands, not ours.

If someone is having a breakdown, are there fairly standard steps to prevent harm to themselves and others? It seems to me that that suggesting this would be a more sensible step, rather than looking the other way And there's no real need to search for what's on the front page of all the major news websites - which I presume was the aim of the original comments

No he isn't, he's just revealing his true self, the same self which many knew he was. Who knows? I suspect none of us are qualified enough to say one way or the other. But before he had the filters of his employers, the football clubs to stop him being completely out of control now he doesn’t have that. He knew how fortunate he was under Wael who put up with his behaviour and protected him. He doesn’t have that now. He now knows he will never work in football again as a manager so he’s out of control, no filters now, and having no self control, he says /does what he likes. Get ready for worse over the months ahead. Unfortunately having been his last club he will forever be “ *******, former manager of BRFC.” UTG!

I thought this was too good not to share; tweeted by Florence (not the city). Laurence Fox and Joey B***** look like moles who are enjoying a day being human before the magic spell wears off in some twee British film.

He should never have been inflicted on us and the sooner he disappears into oblivion the better. But that's not what he wants so we're stuck with hearing about the nonsense he spouts, and having him linked with Rovers. The solution is in his hands, not ours. How can he disappear into oblivion when people keep giving him oxygen? How can he disappear from the memories of Gasheads when people continually bring up the past? Why keep bumping this thread to the top now? While he was manager I ensured that this thread was regularly bumped to the top. Made me unpopular with many. But that thing has now gone. It was manager at BRFC for 975 painful days. We know what he did, we know how he behaved, we know what he said. At the merciful end, all but a small minority could see the despicable human being for what he was. I do not propose sweeping the disgrace of his appointment under the carpet. But it has been DONE TO DEATH. We do not need constant reminding. The less he is mentioned, the quicker the stench will leave. Someone suggested moving the thread. Someone 'liked' the idea. I agreed, and put it to the other Mods about what to do about it (bloody democracy again). An over-sensitive duck immediately took flight at the mere mention of it. It's a free country. A final decision has not been made. A few people don't like the idea of alleged 'censorship' or 'mood management'. If this 'censorship' is too much to bear then suggest they don't travel to Moscow or Pyongyang. Their poor bleeding hearts. We (the Mods - the people that give up their time and money to keep the Forum going) will take on board comments and we'll discuss what to do. (Not aimed at you Angas).

If the forum is a democracy, then imo the mods should leave this thread alone. It will die a natural death if posters wish it to. As with all threads that cause controversy, no-one has to read it if they don't want to.
Just my opinion. Maybe you could run a poll to see what the majority would like?
