Someone, I'd love to remember whom it was, insulted Al Qadi once, calling him a Walter Mitty fantasist or some such. I think we mostly agreed this was very rude and to be discouraged, at the time. Things are coming to light, and include the obviously divisive and unpleasant decision to recruit and then hand complete control to Joey Barton, leading to my great sense of relief that there is a new owner, and that it is he, not Al Qadi, who holds control now.

But, I would wager, that you know even less about the new majority shareholders than you did about the Al Quedi family?

That's certainly true, although I know very little of either, only what they say and write publicly, and decisions they've overseen. The new owner might be worse than Al Qadi, but he's done nothing yet to suggest it, and just as I did Al Qadi, I will give the new owner the benefit of the doubt, until and unless he does anything I think detrimental to Bristol Rovers. Al Qadi made a very good first impression on me, and so did the new owner. Edit: Al Saeed. I have a mental block for the owner's surname. It's Al Saeed, and I ought to remember.

We are yet to see what the new guy is prepared to do. It bothers me that we have many gone and the new manager seems to be caught in a struggle between the former majority stakeholder and the new. As always, at Rovers, it’s wait and see and balls ups. I hope this situation resolves itself as, even Manghan intimated that it was causing problems. He said the players were aware of the situation so my question is, have some stopped playing as well as they could ? very unprofessional to have players turn up for training but no one to take it. I hope for the best but do have concerns that we have somehow got into a scenario much like when Dave Penney arrived. BTW I certainly used the Walter Mitty line. I have no regrets

Got to love forum facts. It was stated all coaches had left the club hence no one to take training. Now we see the coaches gave stayed. Did no one take training? Are the coaches incapable of running a session themselves?

Are the coaches incapable of running a session themselves? I know, for sure, the players had no one to take training and it was postponed. Roadman, on the other place has explained it

Kevin Bond still around?
Was all rather strange that he left around January last season, then it all fell apart, and he suddenly came back just after Barton got sacked.

Does he put the cones out count them out and count them in ? 007 has hidden talents Would not be surprised if Wayne Carlisle and Lee Mansell join the Merry band of ex players coaching the group.

You must hand it to the new owners they work with great stealth and have rid the club of all of Barton's disciples which gives the new manager at least a sporting chance of success, we just need to see now if the players from the north west respond. The threat of Karl Robinson being recommended and appointed manager is still a threat so our friends the Al Saeeds shouldn't stop with their reset, there is a lot more difficult work ahead and unless they are courageous and finish the job they have started they will regret their investment.

Not everyone with a Scouse accent has left the Club. Popped into the Quarters (the gate had been left open) this morning. Was very politely asked to leave as the day ahead of a match it's not appropriate to have people coming and going. Anyway it was the Club nutritionist who walked me back to the car and had a chat for about 10 minutes. He was very enthusiastic about the Club both on and off the pitch. He genuinely thinks the Club is (finally) moving in the right direction. Potentially the new houses to go where the existing pitches are? Anyway - the broadest Scouse accent I have ever heard, but a thoroughly decent chap. I did not mention the previous manager, or why I hadn't seen a game for 4 years.

Why don't you just be honest about who you are? I am guessing that you are one of the disaffected Presidents Club hierarchy or a recently deposed Board member. Either way its pathetic. Just be honest and sign your name otherwise you have zero credibility. I usually sign off with regards, but not for this pathetic attention seeking. John Malyckyj Maybe an apology is apt What on earth have I got to apologise for? At the time I was heartily sick of people pumping out rumours and things they "knew" but wouldn't put their names to their messages, that was my point. That hasn't changed, if you have something to say of significance, put your name to it. It's as simple as that. Kind regards John Malyckyj
