Sunday 28th July 2024 - The Hundred Men - Sophia Gardens, Cardiff - Welsh Fire Men won the toss and decided to field
Oval Invincibles Men - 113-9 (100 balls) Ferreira 30, Jacks 25, Curran 20, Ball 3-24
Welsh Fire Men - 103-8 (100 balls) Payne 28, Kohler-Cadmore 28, Abell 16, Zampa 3-24
Oval Invincibles Men win by 10 runs
Match report by Mike Peter, BBC Sport JournalistOval Invincibles successfully defended a low total of 113 as they beat Welsh Fire by 10 runs in The Hundred men's competition at Sophia Gardens. Having been put into bat, Invincibles slipped to 43-4, with Dawid Malan and Sam Billings falling for a duck and three respectively, and fellow England international Will Jacks holing out in the deep after a quick-fire 25. Sam Curran (20) and Donovan Ferreira (30) then put on 46 for the fifth wicket, until Curran dropped a shot into the hands of Tom Kohler-Cadmore at long-on. The wicket prompted an end of innings collapse as Invincibles lost 5-16 in 18 balls, then scored just five runs from David Payne's final set. Jonny Bairstow and Joe Clarke were both bowled cheaply in the reply, and opener Tom Kohler-Cadmore scored a slow 22 from 33 as Fire struggled to get going. Leg-spinners Adam Zampa (3-24) and Nathan Sowter (2-12) then ripped through the Fire middle order, with the home side also losing 5-16 from the halfway mark to leave them needing 52 runs from the final 21 balls of the innings. Payne then smashed his side back into content, striking 28 runs from 15 deliveries in a 40-run partnership with Mason Crane. But needing two sixes from the final balls of the innings, Payne heaved the ball into the hands of Malan at cover to hand Invincibles a deserved victory. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/7c/Welsh_Fire_logo.svg/200px-Welsh_Fire_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/9/96/Oval_Invincibles_logo.svg/200px-Oval_Invincibles_logo.svg.png

Monday 29th July 2024 - The Hundred Women - Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester - Trent Rockets Women won the toss and decided to field
Manchester Originals Women - 137-6 (100 balls) Jones 34, Bryce 32, Mooney 24, Graham 2-31
Trent Rockets Women - 136-4 (100 balls) Sciver-Brunt 56 not out, Gardner 36, Filer 2-26
Manchester Originals Women win by 1 run
Match report by Joe Rindl, BBC Sport journalist.Manchester Originals produced some superb death bowling to beat Trent Rockets by one run in a final-ball thriller at Old Trafford in The Hundred women's competition. The Rockets, who would have gone top of the group standings with a victory, needed four off the final ball to win but England's Nat Sciver-Brunt could only pull Kathryn Bryce for two. The Originals had been thrashed by Welsh Fire in their opener but produced a fine display to record their first win of the season - and hand the Rockets their first defeat. After being put into bat the Originals made a measured start before Bryce (32), Eve Jones (34) and some late power hitting from skipper Sophie Ecclestone (13) helped them post a competitive 137-6. The Rockets had looked in control for much of their chase with Sciver-Brunt (56 not out) and Australia's Ash Gardner (36) anchoring the innings. But, needing 22 off the final 10 balls, Originals bowlers Lauren Filer and Bryce slowed the scoring to help their side to a thrilling victory. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/49/Manchester_Originals_logo.svg/200px-Manchester_Originals_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/6d/Trent_Rockets_svg_logo.svg/200px-Trent_Rockets_svg_logo.svg.png

Monday 29th July 2024 - The Hundred Men - Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester - Manchester Originals Men won the toss and decided to field
Trent Rockets Men - 145-7 (100 balls) Banton 45, Powell 27, Extras 19, Hartley 3-25
Manchester Originals Men - 144-8 (100 balls) Holden 40, Walter 29, Masden 28, Imad Wasim 2-21
Trent Rockets Men win by 1 run
Incredible, the winning teams both won by 1 run and all 400 balls were bowled in the matches
Match report by Joe Rindl, BBC Sport journalist.Trent Rockets took two wickets in the final two balls to beat Manchester Originals by one run in a thriller at Old Trafford in The Hundred men's competition. The Originals needed just two runs from the final three balls to record their first win of the season but were denied by superb bowling from the Rockets' Jordan Thompson. The Englishman produced a dot ball before Sikandar Raza (21) was run out going for a single. It meant the home side needed two runs to win and one to tie off the final ball, but Max Holden (40) hooked Thompson's delivery straight to Sam Hain who won the match for the Rockets with a simple catch. The Rockets had posted a competitive score of 145-7 after a good platform from opener Tom Banton (45) and power hitting from West Indies cricketer Rovman Powell (27). The Originals looked in control of their chase but lost five wickets over the final 22 balls. The Rockets' one-run win was the second ever in the Hundred with the first, remarkably, happening just a few hours earlier when the Originals women beat the Rockets on the same ground. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/49/Manchester_Originals_logo.svg/200px-Manchester_Originals_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/6d/Trent_Rockets_svg_logo.svg/200px-Trent_Rockets_svg_logo.svg.png

Tuesday 30th July 2024 - The Hundred Women - Headingley, Leeds - Southern Brave Women won the toss and decided to bat
Southern Brave Women - 100-8 (100 balls) Tryon 25, Bouchier 22, Southby 16 not out, Smith 2-24
Northern Superchargers Women - 100-7 (100 balls) Davidson-Richards 27, Litchfield 24, Bell 4-11
Match Tied
Match report by Joe Rindl, BBC Sport journalist.Northern Superchargers and Southern Brave recorded the first tie in The Hundred women's competition in a low-scoring thriller at Headingley. The Superchargers required three to win off the final delivery, but batter Kate Cross could only scamper through for two after driving to long-on. In a match that was a repeat of last year's final, defending champions Brave lost wickets at regular intervals and could only post 100-8, with Chloe Tryon top-scoring with 25. The Superchargers cruised through much of their chase and needed just 19 from their final 20 balls. But Lauren Bell, who finished with her tournament-best figures of 4-11, took the crucial wicket of Alice Davidson-Richards (27 off 22) and conceded only six runs off her final five deliveries. Given Superchargers' advantage through much of the chase, Brave will perhaps be the happier with the result, though both teams remain without a win in this season's competition after losing their openers. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/8/88/Northern_Superchargers_logo.svg/200px-Northern_Superchargers_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e5/Southern_Brave_logo.svg/200px-Southern_Brave_logo.svg.png

Match report by Joe Rindl, BBC Sport journalist.Northern Superchargers ended a run a of six consecutive defeats in the Hundred's men's competition with a crushing victory over Southern Brave. The home side recorded their first win in the competition since beating Trent Rockets in their third match of last season's group stage. The Brave won the toss and elected to bat but were limited to 146-8 with Adil Rashid the pick of the hosts' bowlers, taking 1-19 off his 20 deliveries. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/8/88/Northern_Superchargers_logo.svg/200px-Northern_Superchargers_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e5/Southern_Brave_logo.svg/200px-Southern_Brave_logo.svg.png

Trent Rockets Women - 136-7 (100 balls) Sciver-Brunt 59, Graham 30 not out, Pavely 2-20
Birmingham Phoenix Women win by 3 runs
Match report by Joe Rindl, BBC Sport journalist.Birmingham Phoenix ended a run of 13 matches without a win in the Hundred women's competition with an Ellyse Perry-inspired victory over Trent Rockets. Australia's Perry struck a brilliant 66 off 34 deliveries to help the visitors post 139-3 at Trent Bridge. The 33-year-old then took 1-10 off 10 deliveries and a stunning catch on the long-on boundary to remove Rockets opener Bryony Smith. England's Nat Sciver-Brunt hit 59 off 37 balls to lead the chase but was caught attempting a ramp shot off the bowling of Charis Pavely late in the innings. Heather Graham finished unbeaten on 30 to ensure a close finish, but could only slice a two with six needed to win off the final ball. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/6d/Trent_Rockets_svg_logo.svg/200px-Trent_Rockets_svg_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/d/d1/Birmingham_Phoenix_logo.svg/200px-Birmingham_Phoenix_logo.svg.png

Birmingham Phoenix Men - 138-6 (100 balls) Bethell 46 not out, Livingstone 30, Rashid-Khan 2-23
Trent Rockets Men - 132-8 (100 balls) Hales 38, Root 33, Powell 21, Mousely 3-9, Milne 2020
Birmingham Phoenix Men win by 6 runs
Match report by Joe Rindl, BBC Sport journalist.All-rounder Dan Mousley took two wickets and conceded just three runs off the final 10 deliveries to help Birmingham Phoenix edge past Trent Rockets in The Hundred's men's competition. Rockets needed 10 off the final 10 balls at Trent Bridge but were squeezed by former England Under-19 player Mousley, 23, who finished with figures of 3-9. Tim Southee also took a late wicket and Adam Milne superbly ran out Sam Hain as Rockets collapsed from 125-3 to 132-8 to lose by six runs. Having been put into bat Phoenix posted a slightly under par 138-6 with Ben Duckett - who was playing his first match of this season's Hundred having been on Test duty with the England team - hitting 21 off 17. England's Liam Livingstone struck 30 from 20 deliveries while Jacob Bethell finished on 46 not out. In response, Alex Hales' 38 off 30 and Joe Root's 33 off 19 gave Rockets a formidable platform, but the team's tail had no response for Mousley's heroic final spell. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/6d/Trent_Rockets_svg_logo.svg/200px-Trent_Rockets_svg_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/d/d1/Birmingham_Phoenix_logo.svg/200px-Birmingham_Phoenix_logo.svg.png

Welsh Fire Women win by 6 wickets
Match report:Hayley Matthews hit an unbeaten 78 as Welsh Fire beat Oval Invincibles by six wickets in The Hundred women's competition at Lord's. The hard-hitting West Indies star paced her 46-ball knock perfectly to help Fire chase down a tough target of 151 with five balls to spare. Danielle Gibson hit 41 off 25 balls for Invincibles and seamer Freya Davies was the pick of the Fire bowlers, dismissing England captain Heather Knight for five and Meg Lanning (31) in the space of three balls. Fire struggled for fluency early on before Matthews stepped on the accelerator. With 16 needed from 10 balls, Matthew saw it off in style with consecutive boundaries off the bowling of Deepti Sharma. Spirit suffer a first defeat in this year's competition and remain second in the table, with Fire moving into third place. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/65/London_Spirit_logo.svg/200px-London_Spirit_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/7c/Welsh_Fire_logo.svg/200px-Welsh_Fire_logo.svg.png

Match report:London Spirit registered their first victory of the season in The Hundred men's competition with a three-wicket win over Welsh Fire at Lord's. Despite Luke Wells' entertaining 23 off eight balls, Fire wickets fell at regular intervals as they stumbled to 94-9. Spinner Liam Dawson took an outstanding 3-10 for Spirit and - in a men's Hundred first - seamer Daniel Worrall (1-16) bowled 10 consecutive dot balls at the start of the innings. Spirit also struggled with the bat, slipping to 38-4 with Matt Henry taking 3-19. However, Shimron Hetmyer (30 not out off 21) and Dan Lawrence (29 off 27) shared a 46-run partnership to ease Spirit's nerves before Haris Rauf took two wickets in consecutive balls to give Fire some late hope. But a composed Hetmyer finished it in style with a huge six over square leg. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/65/London_Spirit_logo.svg/200px-London_Spirit_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/7c/Welsh_Fire_logo.svg/200px-Welsh_Fire_logo.svg.png

Manchester Originals Women - 140-4 (98 balls) Wolvaardt 78 not out, Jones 39, Adams 2-24
Manchester Originals Women win by 6 wicketsMatch report:Laura Wolvaardt hit an unbeaten 78 as Manchester Originals beat winless Southern Brave by six wickets in The Hundred women's competition. Brave posted a competitive 136-5 thanks to Danni Wyatt's 61 off 46 balls and useful contributions from Charli Knott (27) and Maia Bouchier (24). England left-arm spinner Sophie Ecclestone finished the pick of the Originals' attack (2-17), with Kim Garth and Fi Morris claiming one wicket apiece. Originals lost opener Beth Mooney for just two early on in their run-chase but a stand of 80 from Wolvaardt and Eve Jones (39) for the second wicket got them back on track. Brave took three wickets for eight runs as Georgia Adams claimed 2-24 to leave the Originals at 100-4 off 77 balls. However, Wolvaardt kept her cool, and with 10 runs required off the final set she hit Lauren Cheatle for three consecutive fours to secure victory with two balls to spare. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e5/Southern_Brave_logo.svg/200px-Southern_Brave_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/49/Manchester_Originals_logo.svg/200px-Manchester_Originals_logo.svg.png

Manchester Originals Men - 116-6 (100 balls) Madsen 43 not out, C.Overton 25, J.Overton 2-11
Southern Brave Men - 117-3 (78 balls) Evans 25 not out, Davies 24, Vince 20, Usama-Mir 1-10
Southern Brave Men win by 7 wickets
Match report:Craig Overton took a miserly 2-11 as a disciplined bowling performance from Southern Brave helped them to an emphatic seven-wicket win over Manchester Originals in The Hundred men's competition. Originals lost skipper Phil Salt for seven early on and they hit just three boundaries off the first 50 balls as they crawled to 41-4 after Overton and Akeal Hosein bowled tightly. Wayne Madsen gave the Originals innings some impetus with an unbeaten 43 but Tymal Mills and Chris Jordan claimed two wickets apiece to keep them in check at the death. A total of 116 looked decidedly unthreatening and Alex Davies bludgeoned 24 off 12 balls to get Brave off to flying start before he fell to spinner Tom Hartley. James Vince (20) and Leus du Plooy (21) both found some rhythm at the crease then Laurie Evans got Brave over the line with 22 balls to spare as he blasted a quickfire unbeaten 25. Brave fast bowler Jofra Archer missed the match after he was instructed to rest by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e5/Southern_Brave_logo.svg/200px-Southern_Brave_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/49/Manchester_Originals_logo.svg/200px-Manchester_Originals_logo.svg.png

Match report:Annabel Sutherland starred with bat and ball as Northern Superchargers clinched a thumping 82-run victory over Oval Invincibles in The Hundred's women's competition. The 22-year-old all-rounder smashed an unbeaten 63 off 40 balls - her maiden fifty in the competition - as she and Australia team-mate Phoebe Litchfield (44) provided the bulk of the Superchargers' total of 146-4. Rachel Slater claimed 2-11 for the Invincibles, but both Marizanne Kapp and Amanda-Jade Wellington went wicketless. Linsey Smith and Kate Cross then combined superbly with the ball for the Superchargers with two wickets apiece in a devastating opening spell as the Invincibles collapsed to 23-5 off 22 balls. Paige Scholfield and Wellington gave the Invincibles faint hope with counter-attacking knocks of 24 and 26. However, Sutherland enjoyed a stellar day as she blew away the home side's lower order with four wickets in six balls - including Wellington - to wrap up the success in style. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/9/96/Oval_Invincibles_logo.svg/200px-Oval_Invincibles_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/8/88/Northern_Superchargers_logo.svg/200px-Northern_Superchargers_logo.svg.png

Match report:Amy Jones hit her maiden half-century in The Hundred and then produced a record-breaking performance behind the stumps as Birmingham Phoenix beat Southern Brave by 16 runs in the women's competition. Jones top-scored with 51 off 36 balls, while Emily Arlott chipped in with a 12-ball 22 as Phoenix posted a competitive 137-7. Tilly Corteen-Coleman was the pick of the Brave bowlers at Edgbaston as the 16-year-old left-arm spinner claimed 2-22. Phoenix skipper Ellyse Perry ripped through the Brave top order as she took 3-21, including the key wickets of Maia Bouchier and Smriti Mandhana. Danni Wyatt whacked a defiant 43 off 33 balls but as soon as she and Freya Kemp (23) were out, Brave's effort faltered as they were bowled out for 121. England wicketkeeper Jones snaffled six catches with the gloves - the most dismissals of any wicketkeeper in the history of the women's tournament. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/d/d1/Birmingham_Phoenix_logo.svg/200px-Birmingham_Phoenix_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e5/Southern_Brave_logo.svg/200px-Southern_Brave_logo.svg.png

Saturday 3rd August 2024 - The Hundred Men - Edgbaston, Birmingham - Birmingham Phoenix Men won the toss and decided to field
Southern Brave Men - 169-2 (100 balls) Vince 90 not out, Davies 30, Pollard 38 not out, Howell 1-32
Birmingham Phoenix Men - 137-9 (100 balls) Duckett 92, Livingstone 11, Jordan 3-19, Hosein 3-23
Southern Brave Men win by 32 runs
Match report: Southern Brave captain James Vince's classy unbeaten 90 was key in his side's 32-run win over Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred's men's competition. Vince's innings was full of stylish strokeplay as he hit six sixes and six fours in Brave's commanding total of 169-2 at Edgbaston. He shared an opening stand of 81 with Alex Davies (30) and an unbroken 68-run partnership with Kieron Pollard, who finished 38 not out. Phoenix's bowlers had struggled to make inroads into their opponents' top order - with just one wicket each for Benny Howell and Sean Abbott - but Brave's exciting attack had no such issues. Chris Jordan impressed with 3-19, Akeal Hosein claimed 3-23 and Tymal Mills snared 2-21 with Ben Duckett the only Phoenix batter to carry any real threat. With the victory target well out of sight Duckett eyed the chance of making the competition's fourth century from the final five balls of the match, only to be caught at fine leg off Jordan for 92. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/d/d1/Birmingham_Phoenix_logo.svg/200px-Birmingham_Phoenix_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e5/Southern_Brave_logo.svg/200px-Southern_Brave_logo.svg.png

Saturday 3rd August 2024 - The Hundred Women - Trent Bridge, Nottingham - Trent Rockets Women won the toss and decided to bat
Trent Rockets Women - 130-5 (100 balls) Sciver-Brunt 37, Gardner 31, Wraith 28, Jonassen 2-29
Welsh Fire Women = 131-4 (98 balls) Bryce 51, Jonassen 26, Matthews 20, Sciver-Brunt 2-32
Welsh Fire Women win by 6 wickets
Match report by Tim Oscroft, BBC Sport journalist.Sarah Bryce hit her maiden half-century in The Hundred to pilot Welsh Fire to a six-wicket win over Trent Rockets that moved them to the top of the table in the women's competition. The 24-year-old keeper-batter was unbeaten on 51 off 39 balls as Fire chased down their target of 131 with two deliveries to spare. Bryce's smart stumping had ended Rockets' top scorer Nat Sciver-Brunt's knock of 37, as the home side posted a total of 130-5. Jess Jonassen was the pick of Fire's bowlers with 2-29, and the Australian's 26 in a 38-run partnership with Bryce was a vital part of the run chase. Nath Wraith, Ash Gardner and Heather Graham could not capitalise on good starts in the Rockets' innings, and Bryce was alert enough behind the stumps to catch home skipper Sciver-Brunt out of her ground off Jonassen's bowling. Mistakes from several Rockets fielders in the closing stages helped Bryce and Georgia Elwiss, who grabbed 18 off 15 balls, to help Fire to their third win of the 2024 competition. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/6d/Trent_Rockets_svg_logo.svg/200px-Trent_Rockets_svg_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/7c/Welsh_Fire_logo.svg/200px-Welsh_Fire_logo.svg.png

Match report by Tim Oscroft, BBC Sport journalist.Welsh Fire held their nerve to beat Trent Rockets in a gripping encounter in The Hundred's men's competition. Luke Wood could not get Haris Rauf away off the final ball of the Rockets innings as his side lost by just four runs. Skilful bowling by Rauf and David Payne had claimed three wickets in three balls as the hosts chased a target of 130. Sam Hain was stranded on 22 off 26 balls at the non-striker's end as tailender Wood faced Rauf, having run a bye off the penultimate delivery that looked close to being a no-ball for height. Fire posted 129-6 with England's Jonny Bairstow hitting seven fours and a six for his top-scoring 55 off 45 deliveries. Rockets were in the hunt, though, as opener Alex Hales hit two sixes in his 23, but Joe Root was run out for 17 to leave his side 69-3. That dismissal proved pivotal as Rashid Khan was also run out after hitting a four and a six in a brief stay for 13. But with Hain unable to find a boundary at the death, and crucially keep the strike, the Rockets missed the chance to return to the top of the table. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/6d/Trent_Rockets_svg_logo.svg/200px-Trent_Rockets_svg_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/7c/Welsh_Fire_logo.svg/200px-Welsh_Fire_logo.svg.png

Match report by Mike Peter, BBC Sport journalist.London Spirit and Oval Invincibles played out a thrilling tie in The Hundred women's competition at Lord's. Having taken 4-11 in the Spirit innings, Marizanne Kapp (47) looked set to guide Invincibles to a comfortable victory, with the visiting side needing just four runs from their final nine balls. But Deepti Sharma bowled the South African all-rounder and the Spirit delivered five successive dot balls to put themselves back in contention. Ryana Macdonald-Gay scooped Danni Gibson for two but was run out from the final ball of the innings as the Spirit pulled off an unlikely result. Having been put into bat, Spirit found themselves reduced to 47-5 at halfway, with their top five - including Meg Lanning and Heather Knight - all bowled, four of them by Kapp. India international Sharma (44) dragged the Spirit score towards respectability, before becoming the first of three wickets in the final six balls of the innings as the hosts finished on 113-9. Invincibles lost Chamari Athapaththu and captain Lauren Winfield-Hill cheaply in their reply, but Kapp and Alice Capsey put on 54 for the third wicket to put their side in control. Sharma bowled Capsey, sparking a mini collapse as Invincibles lost 4-13, but Kapp looked set to bring her side home before the India international returned to spark a remarkable end to the London derby. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/65/London_Spirit_logo.svg/200px-London_Spirit_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/9/96/Oval_Invincibles_logo.svg/200px-Oval_Invincibles_logo.svg.png

Match report by Mike Peter, BBC Sport journalist.Sam Curran starred with bat and ball as Oval Invincibles comfortably beat London Spirit by 30 runs in The Hundred men's competition at Lord's. The England all-rounder hit an unbeaten 51 from 22 balls as the Invincibles reached 147-5, before taking 5-16 and a hat-trick as he routed the Spirit tail. The Invincibles started slowly, scoring just four from their first 14 balls and having Will Jacks bowled by Olly Stone, but Dawid Malan (38) helped them steadily accumulate runs. Curran arrived at the crease with his side 80-3 after 66 balls, and he set about clubbing six sixes to help set a challenging target. The hosts fell behind the rate in their reply, hampered by the visitors' strong rank of slow bowlers, with Adam Zampa also taking 3-22. With Spirit needing to swing hard to have any chance of victory, Curran had Matt Critchley caught in deep, then removed Liam Dawson, Stone and the formidable Andre Russell with consecutive deliveries. He sealed the succes with the lbw dismissal of Dan Worrall, his five wickets in nine balls bringing a rapid end to the London derby. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/65/London_Spirit_logo.svg/200px-London_Spirit_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/9/96/Oval_Invincibles_logo.svg/200px-Oval_Invincibles_logo.svg.png

Sunday 4th August 2024 - The Hundred Women - Headingley, Leeds - Manchester Originals Women won the toss and decided to field
Northern Superchargers Women - 138-4 (100 balls) Sutherland 44, Litchfield 43, Filer 2-16
Manchester Originals Women - 92 all out (96 balls) Filer 20 not out, Wolvaardt 19, Cross 4-20
Northern Superchargers Women win by 46 runs
Match report by Tim Oscroft, BBC Sport journalist.Kate Cross took four wickets as Northern Superchargers thrashed Manchester Originals by 46 runs at Headingley to move into second place in The Hundred's women's competition. Fine knocks by Phoebe Litchfield (43) and Annabel Sutherland (44) helped Superchargers post 138-4, with Lauren Filer the pick of the visiting attack with 2-16. Laura Wolvaardt's brisk 19 got the Originals off to a good start in their run-chase, but a fine fielding display and accurate bowling by the hosts pegged them back. Alice Davidson-Richards claimed a superb over-the-shoulder effort to dismiss Fi Morris, while Cross brilliantly ran out Emma Lamb with a direct hit to go with her 4-20 - the 32-year-old's first four-wicket haul in The Hundred. Filer top-scored for the Originals with 20 off just eight balls despite coming in at number 11, but her entertaining innings only helped to reduce the margin of success for the Superchargers. The result improved the Superchargers' net run-rate to move them above London Spirit and Oval Invincibles, while trailing leaders Welsh Fire by one point. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/8/88/Northern_Superchargers_logo.svg/200px-Northern_Superchargers_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/49/Manchester_Originals_logo.svg/200px-Manchester_Originals_logo.svg.png
