Corrected for you. Many thanks. I was working against a short time space on a PC. I was thinking about calling them The Robbings. I woke at 5 in the morning and wondered whether I had committed the sin, I have done several penances with more to come!!! Very clever

I heard that a cat in a hat would turn up and produce an improbable but somehow life size fold out stadium from a briefcase.
There you go, that's about as likely as any of the other garbage people have made up so far on this thread.

Really don’t like that idea plus it’s a really congested area at busy times. Not ideal IMO

Can't wait to get those dreadful dried out pasties off the menu and replaced with delicious green eggs and ham.

This was one of the many sites plans were mooted for, back before we moved to The Mem. It would actually be on the right (north) side of the river - St. Phillips Marsh being an island, with the River Avon to the south and the Feeder Canal to the north. Not ideal for driving to, but 5 minutes walk from Temple Meads. And you could put a halt right outside any planned stadium, as a line passes from Avonmeads and then on over the River Avon and under the Bath Road. You could also have create a lovely riverside setting, with landscaping to rival Bath Rugby's plans for The Rec.

You could also have create a lovely riverside setting, with landscaping to rival Bath Rugby's plans for The Rec. Yes, you could create a horrible muddy, culvert-side setting where you could take in the view of sad blokes trying to catch fish in the feeder, abandoned shopping trolleys and rusting bicycles, that's true, if it were part of any plans, but as far as I can find out there are no deals being discussed to purchase that or any other site in the area and no discussions going on about planning or whether planning departments would even entertain discussions about whacking a huge stadium up on a new site there or any other site anywhere around here. If it's like this now, even before the season ends, what's it going to be like in summer, when people are really bored and their imaginations start running away with them? Having said that, I don't think it will be much longer before the planners decide that it's time to do something with the area around the Fruit Market and the small area of industrial units at that end of Feeder Rd, it's all pretty grotty.

But the best bit is the thought of the strains of "Goodnight Ireene" serenading swathes of south Bristol as far down as Trashton.
