apparently those ITK seem to think we have been sold or weve got investment towards a new stadium etc - surely a load of rubbish? It's starting to look that way, '@m'. Any updates, six months later?

M# has cancelled his membership to the forum.
I guess that's one way of ducking the question.
Boom, boom.

No nothing to do with me.I know there were lots of rumours and counter rumours doing the rounds including one about former players being involved and it wasn't helped by the silence from the owners

On the assumption that a third division club is more attractive a takeover target than is one in the basement divison, do you think that Dwane Sports will be able to sell Rovers soon? Or do we really have to wait until October?

More interested in the possibility of Bolton being taken over and getting some of the money they owe me but I am not holding my breath.they will probably go into administration to wipe out all their debts

Dwane Sports lent money to Bristol Rovers. But are these loans on similar terms?

In business you never know what may happen. If Rovers were this summer bought outright by someone with the wealth (and will to blow it on a football club) of, say, Steve Lansdowne... What would he do with us? With enough cash and vanity. What would he do?

You do remember where the 'In business you never know what can happen' quote came from, or do ducks have a short memory?

I was wondering whether big spending owners would really make us South Glos tenants, or find some way of digging down and building up on our Horfield freehold, and with what result.
As for the quote I've forgotten and can't find: Steve Crazy Gang Hamer? Or Wael These Things Take Time Al Qadi? I wrote a lovely transcript of Hapless Hamer. I can't find it now.

Into remedial with Kegs. Just suffered the whole 16 mins again, it's no easier watching it now, 20 months after the event. www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2017/august/08.07.17---wael-interview/At this stage, vanity mirrors are probably a bit optimistic. I'm not convinced that the UWE thing is dead and buried, but with the way that mud was slung it's hard to see how it can be resurrected with these owners. As for other sites, I have no idea. As has been said many times, BCC are on our side, we've never had an application fail, so if these owners are serious they'll have no trouble developing the existing site, especially with all of Wael's experts on our team Edit. Watch that interview, Wael says that a 120 year lease would make us a Nomad club. This doesn't happen often, but I'm lost for words, simply staggering!

I've heard quotes from that, but never before seen the video, probably due to August holiday.
I got to the eleven minute mark. Man's a liar.

www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2017/august/08.07.17---wael-interview/Dwayne Sports have invested money into the club. It's not a loan, it's an investment. The investment is 'registered as a loan' charge on the Mem is 'to protect our (ie DS) investment' DS (not 'we') took a decision after the deadline the leak was initially perceived to be on UWE's side per this interview - re confidentiality 'it's not our responsibility if the other side decide not to act like we do' UWE were agreeing, and then re-visiting, things lease was 120 years but would make us a 'nomad club' UWE is dead in the water (until Q4 2018?). Felt comfortable about the decision at the time - 'relaxed' Plan B is the Memorial Stadium - we have a beautiful piece of land at the Mem, which can provide 'brilliant facilities' for the club we have the best people with the best experience on our side (quite Trumpesque?) who have built 12 stadiums the only way forward for the club is to have a nice modern stadium in which we can compete - it's a must

Corrected for you. Many thanks. I was working against a short time space on a PC. I was thinking about calling them The Robbings. I woke at 5 in the morning and wondered whether I had committed the sin, I have done several penances with more to come!!!
