I know something as well we are as fans powerless to affect what happens unless a real fan with deep pockets turns up we are at the mercy of people who’s only motivation is money the future of this club lies in the hands of people with no real love for it the Al-Qadi family only got into this for money and that’s gone sour but they paid less for the club than its main asset was worth so they can still come out of this without a loss but we as fans will be homeless again any new owners will want a return on any investment which doesn’t look very likely so as for most of our history we will stumble on from one crisis to another for us older fans is nothing new but I fear the next generation will not be the same I genuinely fear for the future of this great club hi Once NH had, had enough, we are always at he mercy of new owners who don't have Rovers blood, like the majority of teams. That's just the way it is.
As Irish says, the days of local businessman done well owning football clubs is pretty much dead
PP (and Irish) I partly agree with what you’ve said about it being a different age and perhaps local businessmen owning clubs is a thing of the past but.... Some of those clubs who were our traditional rivals, Brighton (Tony Perry), Reading (John Madjesky), Swansea (Huw Thomas ?), even City (Lansdowne), Brentford (Benham) and Bournemouth (Max Denim is Russian but it was local Eddie Mitchell who saved Them before selling up to allow the final push) have recruited local “fans” who were hugely successful businessmen to see them catapult up the leagues which in a way goes against what you’ve argued. Now we are faced with newer clubs who’ve become “wannabes” such as Fleetwood (Andy Piley), Wigan (Dave Whelan, yes I know he’s moved on), Salford (Neville’s etc), Doncaster (John Ryan before he moved on) and probably others. My point is it’s a shame and a bit surprising that we haven’t found anyone in east or north Bristol who could equal the efforts of those I’ve mentioned and taken us on and led us forward. Without someone local who has us in their dna we will be at the mercy of anyone coming in promising a rosier future for a few years until their plan goes wrong and then wanting a bale out. I have no answers and as fans I think all we can do is hope that a local man who is a gashead with a plan with plenty of money comes forward and replicates something along the lines of the men I’ve mentioned above. If anyone has a better idea I’d love to hear it! Whatever, UTG!

But Wael's having none of it, he doesn't want us to be a Nomad club, it's better to sit in the pot and wait for the water to boil.

Anybody know who this Blackbeard is he is putting out statements that frankly cause nothing apart from rising discontent and until any club announcement false expectations.

It's all been said before though; that appears to be a montage of just some the rumours that have been posted around - nothing new added. Oh, hang on, there is something new: we now have Jersey added to the other places like Southampton, Isle of Man, Liverpool, China, USA etc. etc., as the supposed starting point from where these white knights are riding in from.

Mr Bolt is looking for a contract, he cannot do any worse than the current..um..strikers. Problem being he died in 2010. THE Birmingham man who shot to fame as ‘Bernie the Bolt’ on a TV gameshow which attracted an audience of 17 million, has died aged 72.Behind-the-scenes TV worker John Baker fell into the hit role on ATV’s The Golden Shot which brought him celebrity status and sackfuls of fan mail, from the mid-1960s. Celebrity friend Chris Tarrant paid tribute to the unlikely star who he said was “one of the nicest and funniest guys I ever met”. John, who lived all his life in Moseley, was targeted by the show’s director to appear on screen loading a crossbow for contestants to aim.

Very good I applaud you 'arry...alas I did not really know this show but Uncle Bob was my fav game show presenter later with his vast collection of varied shows.

Was there an active thread like this in the six weeks preceding the Wael takeover? Or do all of these rumour threads not only often get it wrong but also completely miss the big ones?

All makes sense now. "Deal or no Deal" came to an end and Noel has been looking for a new project.

Shoveler hasn't been seen in the same room as the news. Coincidence? You decide.

Truth is Wael is looking for some investment, it hasn't happened as yet. It is interesting that there are so many rumours, the last being started by the character known as Keith Chimp, according to him, "something is happening today". Yeah right.

Does looking for more investment mean: "Daddy, can I have some more money?"
