This thread has been such value. It's been an odd one to say the least. A bloke who wants us to buy his books has been picking arguments in public, having a pop at people who went to Chelsea for being uncommitted although all of the tickets were taken by season ticket holders, saying that the point of the thread was to try to encourage people to attend a game, but at the same time he said, and I quote, ''part timers make me sick''. Nice one Mike, that'll win people over! All very strange indeed.

Confusing it must be indeed if irishrover is reduced to under a thousand words in his post.

with respect Peter why is Chewy asking me yet again if I am paying for the Reading game ...its a cup game and yes have paid for one ticket. My comments were to encourage people to attend as OUR CLUB is in a competition. I would do the same if it was a Glos Cup tie or FA Youth Cup tie.The club needs income from such matches ...so we can make new signings etc simples....no ulterior motive from me. I will accept an apology from Chewy as well ...but wont get one
Exactly how many threads have you started pn here about FA youth cup or Glos cup games Mike? off the top of my head half a dozen and your point is ? Opinions vary on all things football wise and I respect my fellow posters and do not resort to asking about if they obtain free tickets, travel to each and every away game ...this is not about points scoring....its a debate about if I or my Uncle Tom Cobley wants to and is able to attend an Associate members cup tie....we dont want moral high grounders making us feel like the unwashed and quilty.
Lets all agree to call a truce ...and agree to differ....and the end of the day it makes no difference ...the fixture will happen despite any boycott....These games are always poorly attended until the final stages....taking the words from Christian McClean peace and love ....
Please lets change the subject to something we may all agree on.....Tom Lockyer will play for Wales Full International side within 12 months

So will those 4,000 who went to Chelsea be going to our next cup tie next Tuesday at home....await the excuses ...washing my hair, need to take dog to vets, off to watch David Brent etc ....
make your mind up , this has been your gerald ratner moment,

Even if I had a free ticket for Tues, I would still not attend!
For the record, I like we all have different opinions. It's what makes a forum.
Tommy Locks may be a full international by then, maybe (?) for me, he struggled v Chelski. A tough match for him. Still has alot to learn.
Respect to anyone whom refuses to attend Tues night. I regret there will be a few that will always go, that's up to them. I won't turn personally on anyone as this whole saga has been very divisive - exactly opposite to what this meant when competition started in the 80s.

Think Bulbous as accurately shown up your double standards, if changing the subject stops that I'm all for it.

Possibly the worst thread I've read in the history of various Rovers forums.
Chewy I do genuinely find you amusing sometimes, your ground hop stories are great and when you're actually talking about football your posts make a lot of sense; but the way you seem to get off on 's**thousing' fellow Gasheads is utterly pathetic and you need to grow up mate.

Group Matches will be of ninety minutes duration, with no extra time. If the scores are level at the end of the group Match then each Club is awarded 1 point. In addition the Match will be followed immediately by the taking of kicks form the penalty mark (in accordance with the procedure laid down in the IFAB Laws of the Game) and the Club that wins the penalty shootout will be awarded an additional 1 point. 3 points are awarded for a win and none for a defeat. If two or more Clubs are equal on points on completion of the group Matches the following criteria are applied in the order give to determine their rankings: goal difference; higher number of goals scored in the group Matches; number of wins (after normal time i.e. not the result of any drawn match followed by penalties); the record against each other in the group Match, taking into account in order of precedence, points gained, goal difference, higher number of goals scored; if the Clubs still have an equal ranking after the application of (A) to (C), by the drawing of lots. Round of 32. Read more at www.efl.com/global/trophyrules.aspx#wmzfR8LcSg0gTFcB.99

Anyway. No Harry, I won't be going on Tuesday, although if it was against Reading first team, I probably would be going. I did go to Chelsea, and I probably won't go to Swindon.
