Two home games within a few days make it difficult for people with kids. It really can be too expensive for some. Tuesday night was a classic case where kids under 10 should have been allowed free entry (or quid-a-kid). I think the club really do need to be more creative with pricing to attract more people. A part of this is that a club can not really be seen to encourage kids to be out, probably beyond 11pm, during the school week. Why?

i watch my son on a saturday but i wont go midweek while the kev spencer episode [ and geoff dunford who i have slated] are subject to bannings / treated disrespectfully by box 1 Same. Until either our present chair rescinds bans and starts to act appropriately towards us fans, or a new board comes in then I will not attend home games. I just cannot do it. It guts me as I miss the company but I could not live with myself if I did go. Sorry Ditto for all the same reasons KP, although I don't see why you should apologise for it given the circumstances that never change under NH. Aways only from our house until there is a clean sweep in the board room with talk of that A word that seems to be a swear word. It would be interesting to know how many other people contribute to the large percentage of away following for the same reason, IE taking a third of home support to Woking when other fans play on a saturday.

Interestingly, at the end of last season I decided not to go whilst Bob the builder was still there, and I cancelled my helpline subscription as well, but came the first day of the season, it seemed as if there was a slightly more positive atmosphere, so I went to all the games until Christmas and then tried to get a 1/2 season ticket: they don't do them any anymore, so I bought "Flexi" tickets for the remaining home games, for the Blackthorn, they worked out at £14 each

My reason is that I work nights and most home games have fallen on Saturdays where i have worked on the Friday, so finishing at 8am on a sat and getting up the mem by 3 is silly, i did go to the first game at home I do miss going but it's just not possible atm

Let me throw this in - If the new stadium was built, with its improved facilities, and available for the rest of the season would that encourage you to start going again?

No. Still overpriced (and would possibly be more expensive), still not as fun as it was when I went with those I once went with, still playing Braintree and Dartford. I've never minded the crap facilities or the terracing.

A part of this is that a club can not really be seen to encourage kids to be out, probably beyond 11pm, during the school week. Why? The danger of violent bloody carnage on the streets of Horfield fuelled by pre-pubescent school night rage. Best keep them locked up for the sake of decent society

There's an actual ocean between me and The Mem
One day I plan on fixing this, though.

As my 8 yr old son wishes to go every time I go, I can't justify paying £28 per game especially while we're in the conference!!!

I attend as many home games as I can, whenever I'm in Bristol. Frankly couldn't give a t*ss about all the politics and who is banned/not allowed to attend a party etc.
All I'm interested in is the team on the pitch and right now they are doing the business well.
So, all you people who "won't go till the ban is lifted/NH and TW leave the club" are you seriously saying you won't attend the Alfreton game if promotion depends on us getting a result? Fair play to your principles if you are, but I'd still think you're mad!

When we were playing at Twerton my son decided that he'd like to come along to a game, and did so for quite some time . . . home and away. By the time that I had got the two of us to Bath, bought him some sweets and a drink for the game, paid for our entrance to the ground, bought him a half-time burger and drink, and then on the way home finished off with a bag of chips I was beginning to feel the effect on my pocket. Double the effect if there happened to be two games in a week. I was almost relieved when he decided to do something else on matchdays . . . but not quite because I would have loved him to have been a supporter of BRFC.

It's not for me to tell you what to do or not, or to be critical, you're presumably old enough to know what you want to do in life but by the same token you're old enough to know better Life's too short......but there we are........you must do what you think is right......
