Well, those emojis suggest that you, at least, found Harry’s post amusing It sounds like Wael is being gradually edged out, rather than banned I suspect he’ll miss it when he’s gone. And some will miss him too But we’re not there yet. Plenty to be getting on with Wael, including the usual turning up and supporting! |

Wael being bought out. "Bristol Rovers Football Club would like to announce that an agreement has been reached for Hussain Al Saeed to acquire all shares (45 per cent) held by Wael and Samer Al Qadi. This marks a significant moment in the club's journey towards long-term growth. The acquisition will be completed over an 18-month period, during which Mr Hussain Al Saeed will provide all funding to support the club’s ongoing operations and development. I never like to see anyone lose their job but today an active contributor on both forums has seen half his yearly salary dissappear as a communications strategist with news emerging from within the club this evening.
Thankfully, we who have supported the club for many a year are now free of reading vindictive personal one eyed bile posted on both boards most days supporting and promoting opinion which wasn't considered in the best interests of the club by a minority influence.

Wael as minority share holder - putting in cash, but ultimately without control of how the Club is being run... was only going to end one way. The fact Rovers have clarity in terms of ownership/power is a good thing. The fact that we don't have open warfare between Wael/cheerleader and the Al Saeed's is a good thing. Wael is a decent chap. He pumped money into the Club, and I'm sure all supporters appreciate that. Always going to be welcome on the terraces. Ultimately though, during his tenure, he failed. The Al-Saeed's have not impressed me thus far. With things clearer at Board level - hopefully we can hear them communicate what 'the plan' actually is. Upwards & onwards. Maybe. |
