Roadman has been saying these things a while though. Back on 9th Oct on 'The Debrief' thread says about not talking at the club photo shoot. Can't remember which thread, but I've seem several mentions of 'farewell tour', which I think I first saw in relation to the away end at Burton. I’d usually ignore this sort of stuff, but Roadman has been around a long time and is being very specific And given that gashead81 is corroborating a part of it, it doesn’t seem a stretch for me to imagine a fairly straightforward fellow like MT not standing for nonsense I really hope Roadman has taken a wrong turn up a cul de sac, driving one of gashead81’s most unreliable cars (Apologies gashead81, I’m sure your cars are perfectly fine really 😁) |

For the record, I have very little confidence in the new owners. I have seen nothing in the last 15 months that suggests they have a 'cunning plan'. But the Club has absolutely no chance of moving forward while the senior management team is divided. Surely that's obvious? Don't see why Wael would be on a farewell tour. I don't doubt his Gashead credentials. Welcome on the terraces. But if I was a committed Rovers supporter, I wouldn't want him anywhere near the running of the Club. |

I don't think that Paul is correct on Wael selling at this stage. He may may well be and I could be wrong, but my personal feelings are that it won't happen any time soon, and no I haven't asked the question directly. Wael has always had games in the away ends with fans and if it was a farewell tour, Burton away is an odd place to have it which will probably be one of the lowest away attendances of the season. |

It is possible the minority shareholder can't find the cash to contribute to his share of the most recent year end accounts losses and has had to offer his shares as a consideration to the Al Saeeds in return.
It would explain the appearance of him beating a slow retreat from the club.

Seems like his residency is coming to a close, needs thanking for getting us through the C19 period with his money, and apart from one serious ( to many) cock up, wish him well,just hope now that the present incumbents carry on with the redevelopment of the Mem as per proposals, I don't look too deep at what goes on behind the scenes,just look forward to having a team to support, long may that continue

The suggestion there are two possible consortia is interesting although rumours like this come round every couple of years. Reading some of the comments over there it seems if there is any truth in this then we could hear something in the next couple of weeks. Time to dust off those UWE plans. 😎 |
