Not really one for calling for a man's job, but this is the worst first half display that I've ever seen from a Rovers side.
No reaction from last week, we look worse! This will be another 4,or 5 nil.
We are terrible, and it's down to the manager. We are not attacking, getting overrun in midfield and now our defense is breaking. It's down to his tactics.
His players, his side.
I watched us last season under Barton miss chance after chance in games, where we should had won ,or drawn games. Now under Taylor it's defensive, boring long ball football.
Let's make it clear. Those first two wins we were rubbish, but we were able to beat rubbish.
Its not going to happen as they will be forced to act sooner or later, but we will go down this season if Taylor is in charge of all 46 matches.
I'm sorry, out Now!

Have a day off sunshine.
Going by your criteria, toxic turd B***** would have been sacked at the start of his first full season and we wouldn't have been promoted back at the first attempt.

Did I suggest otherwise under.. B A R T O N...? About that six months? I watched last season, and in many games I watched us outplay teams and come away with nothing,Derby away was one of them. I'm not a pro Barton, but his side until the final few games of last season attacked, what is this shower under Taylor? Honestly the worst 3 half's of football I've ever seen from a Rovers side. Is that progress?

Have a day off sunshine. Going by your criteria, toxic turd B***** would have been sacked at the start of his first full season and we wouldn't have been promoted back at the first attempt. Did I suggest otherwise under.. B A R T O N...? About that six months? - I've got no idea what this means. 6 months?? This is the 7th game of the season. By this criteria Barton would have been sacked in the division below.I watched last season, and in many games I watched us outplay teams and come away with nothing,Derby away was one of them. - One of the strangest reflections of the start of last season I've seen. "Outplay" ... "miss chance after chance in games" ... I wouldn't say we dreadful, I don't think he would have taken us down, but we were well below average.
I'm not a pro Barton, but his side until the final few games of last season attacked, what is this shower under Taylor? - Last season B***** seemed to have lost ideas. We went from the attacking with pace we'd seen to tippy-tappy, slow-motion, passing backwards and forwards, side-to-side and getting nowhere. ... "boring long ball football." - I've been watching us mix it up, more than one style. Trying a passing game and if not getting anywhere not afraid to play the long ball.Honestly the worst 3 half's of football I've ever seen from a Rovers side. Is that progress? - No. We haven't seen progress on the pitch yet. Just 7 games in with a new team. - But we've seen progress off it. At least the manager isn't toxic.

Taylor was taken on due to Barton’s alleged inability to get a side that had been heavily invested in into the playoffs. Taylor stated that he would be able to do so. What followed was absolute carnage including players meetings in the car park before the Cheltenham game, a complete breakdown at the training ground, Taylor blaming the faults of the ‘inherited’ players, those that he had assured the board were capable of the top six under his stewardship, with our two previous players of the season not being able to get out of the building quick enough. He is fricking clueless but obviously talks a good game in the boardroom. We’ve gone from sellouts to walkouts as fans start to demonstrate their frustrations at the crap this character is churning out. I feel for the players especially the younger ones that have also clearly fallen for his bulls**t. Frankly we are lumbered with him, the board have spent heavily on his chosen recruits and he will argue all the way to the National League South that he should be given the time for his plans to reach fruition.

My TV stream crashed at the 80th min mark, so I didn't watch the last 10mins ,plus added time. That 2nd half performance,or last 25 mins of it covered up a terrible day at the office, and is an unjust reflection on how terrible we were before. We should had been 5,6 nil down by our first goal. It was Taylor's tactics,or how he set us up that has created our defeat today, as its been the case since he has been here. The players showed talent in the come back, I thought McCormick was the best he played since rejoining us. Peterborough commentators kept bringing up about how clueless we were, and like we were like strangers out there.I know its a new team, but so were they, but were 3-0 up,and not by luck, and that's down to Taylor. Ive never been one for calling for a man's job apart from Ben Garner, and with Taylor it feels the same.Granted different styles, but the same feeling. This is going bad, and will end up even worse if we don't improve or the board acts soon. He won't be removed yet, but it's going to happen unless he changes everything about his mindset. A crowd of just 7900 last week with a decent away following from Wigan is terrible, given the stadium is now improving and our board are actually investing in us. A club with our potential, and from a city the size of Bristol should be getting 10k minimum if the owners are investing, which they are. The performance in the last two games, I can't see 7,500 attendance against Wycombe. They will act if the crowds drop any further.

Clearly he still has the dressing room. BUT it is hard to argue with your post above icegas, we do have investment, but we are continually under achieving both on & off the pitch. I think the fanbase is sick to the back teeth with it all, apathy is with us.

Promise has been particularly underwhelming aa has Hutchinson both need spells on the side lines and as soon as Taylor Moorevis available then take out Connor Taylor who is clearly unfit.

And apart from a few half hearted boos, they didn`t.

I don’t think Promise deserves a spell on the side lines. We must stop blaming our strikers for a tactically poorly set up midfield, we always look unbalanced and disjointed in midfield from the off, not capable of stringing a few passes together, let alone support our attacking players!. It would appear that Hutchinson & Garrett are both struggling with our set up and playing at this level, so I guess that is why Kofi Shaw was thrown into the mixer against Boro, feel sorry for him on his full debut, but the lad, at 17 he did ok. We do have GOOD strikers in our team right now, we also have GOOD defenders, we need to sort Midfield imho.

I actually think the recruitment has been good, and we have decent forwards now, it's how we are set up by the manager that's the issue. Yesterday we got two goals and should,or could have drawn come the end dispite Taylor. We were 3-0 down, so he had no choice but to throw the kitchen sink at it, and he almost got lucky. Taylor, also please stop using boring premiership quotes in your interviews like - Individual moments, or soft underbelly! Oh, how I would long for the Bristolian accent of Holloway, talking drivil...yet some how making football sense! And, one last thing... Why are we following the new "in thing" at kick offs by having one player in the centre circle kicking off alone? Have I missed something? Is it a new law? I saw it in the summer at the euros.. Shaw after one kick off yesterday, kicked the ball all the way back to Griffiths, who then just booted it straight back up field and gave it away .Also why are our centre backs taking short goal kicks to our GK???🥴🥱💩 Garner used to have us doing that rubbish!

Yes Alf. Looked on the stream that the travelling Gasheads had to put up with a continual torrent of abuse from a certain section of the Boro fan’s housed in the same stand, perhaps why the boo’s were muted at the end.

Interesting op.
I can empathise but respectfully disagree.
In a game of Gas Buckeroo, we all get triggered at different points in the games and season.
Here's where I stand: For the record, I've never been Taylor in. Nor Taylor out.
After 12 matches, there should be more of feeling of progression, ideally, and we'll see but as it stands I think it's too early to call for definite. Even though am leaning to Mattxit...

Whatever our thoughts about MT and formations and who he should and shouldn’t play, in the end it will come down to results.
I think these owners have a long term idea of how we will progress and whilst promotion this year isn’t perhaps part of it, relegation is definitely not part of it. Owners will be looking around the league and seeing how comparable clubs are doing and asking why we aren’t doing as well. MT needs to be given time and he will be / is being given time.
Imo he needs to sort out the midfield so that it starts to function as it did in the last half hour yesterday, but try and do it when we’re not 0-3 down. I’d say he needs to stick with Hutchinson but I don’t see day to day training. Secondly, all three of their goals should have been stopped, too many individual errors. Those should be on MTs ‘to do list’ this week.
I’ll be glad when Senior is back because he impressed pre-season and albeit he wasn’t first choice when we started he will be important. Sad that CT was so off the pace yesterday. The forwards looked good in the last half hour, why are we waiting until we’re 0-3 down.
But it will come back to results, win enough to keep us out of the relegation fight he’ll be ok, keep losing then like any other manager he won’t survive. But then will we be better off really, can we keep sacking, appointing, sacking, appointing? I presume we dish out 3 year contracts because we feel long term the manager is the correct choice. So I’m inclined to stick and give MT the time to improve.
UTG!

Stick until at least Christmas.
Unlikely barring a massive change in form that we will be in the mix for promotion this year and as long as we are not in a relegation tailspin then we should have a platform from which to build on. We have signed some good players but have been saying since before start of season we need to sign someone who can boss the midfield in a Coutts/Whelan/ Rossiter mould and none of our current squad are that. Garrett may be the closest to it?
