I see someone with a lawyers background who thinks calmly and thoughtfully about the question and his response. Someone who doesn't bulls**t or lie or make vague statements, like some current MPs as we aren't allowed to compare him to the past. Someone who knows what is being said is on the record and whose statements will stand the test of time. What are you looking for Nobby, a grifter, someone who bulls**ts, lies or acts like a clown? Plenty on the opposite benches. "OUCH" ... Sorry I fell off my chair laughing when I read your post. Especially the part about Starmer doesn't bulls**t, lie or make vague statements....my sides are splitting 😂😂😂😂 Noted, you would obviously prefer liar Johnson then. Oh sorry forgot, not allowed to mention past incumbents or their relationship with KGB agents and their associates.

I haven't mentioned his character. I am just saying have you watched him? His answer's are comedic. He looks like the proverbial rabbit caught in the headlights when he has to answer. His eyes are darting around everywhere. He's totally unconvincing. Plus, we are not talking about previous PM's, just the current one. Nice attempt's at deflection by yourself and Terry though. You don't like Labour or anyone connected to it, you think they are a disaster, you think the country is doomed and we would be better off with Reform and Farage as leader. Mostly because Starmer has met Taylor Swift and doesn't have the personality of Boris Johnson. Irrelevant of how the country is doing we are doomed. Got the message buddy.

This business about Taylor swift getting a Police escort and then starmer and other Labour politicians getting tickets to her shows and Starmer going to meet her needs investigating, its misuse of Police time for a start. Our local MP Darren Jones has smartened himself up,he was a right scruff, now he is Rachel Reeves sidekick I wonder if Lord Ali sent his tailor around to sort Jones out, Jones also had Taylor Swift tickets....oink oink.

Oh sorry forgot, not allowed to mention past incumbents or their relationship with KGB agents and their associates. C'mon Terry. You are losing the plot! Francegas didn't mention Johnson, so why do you think he 'obviously' prefers Johnson? You are just making things up with that statement. As for mentioning previous incumbents, there is no point. They (the Tories) have been totally rejected via the ballot box, and rightly so. They are history. We are now in the position of holding the current government to account. Why does every argument have to be deflected back to the Tories?

From Pippa Crerar:
At PMQs, Starmer says: “This is obviously a really important issue affecting a number of people, and that's why we've launched an independent review into the carers allowance overpayments, to look at the circumstances of the overpayments, to see what went wrong, and therefore what can be done to put it right, because carers must get the support that they deserve”.
Good.
Also, "Sunak asks PM why he has paused the implementation of new foreign influence registration scheme to protect UK from interference from foreign states like China and Iran. Starmer says reports it has been halted as “not correct”."

Why does every argument have to be deflected back to the Tories? A smokescreen, labour are useless (as were the tories) but the lefties wont/cant admit it...some of us predicted this but the lefties are never going to admit that we were correct....so we will have years of hearing about tories,Johnson, etc etc every time someone mentions this labour govt.

Thatcher was blaming Labour up until she left, Blair blamed Major, Cameron blamed Labour. It's the way it is, often justified as decisions tend to be made based on the circumstances inherited. Hence, you can't ignore what went before.

Starmer says reports it has been halted as “not correct”." Labour cancelled the Social Welfare Bill that would have capped the amount carers pay. Do you support that decision? Also, "Sunak asks PM why he has paused the implementation of new foreign influence registration scheme to protect UK from interference from foreign states like China and Iran. Starmer says reports it has been halted as “not correct”." - This is disingenuous. The question referred to 'paused'. The answer refered to 'halted'. Starmer didn't answer the question.

In the 50 years I have been voting, and I have voted Con, Labour & Lib Dem in that time, usually for whom I considered the best candidate at the time, I have never known an incoming party receive such a brief honeymoon period to allow them to start their work. We haven't even had the budget yet. From Day 1 the attack dogs of the right leaning press have gone after them starting initially personal attacks on the character of the likes of Angela Rayner, even making stuff up. People are shouting corruption, yet the information they base that on is the declarations made freely at the start. And other parties complaining about having to declare what they see as personal gifts ..... The conservatives were still blaming Labour for issues 14 years into their reign, which now they are standing up in Parliament and contradicting. They attack the Government on issues they created saying they now have the solutions. So I disagree that we just draw a line under the last Government as if their record has now been expunged. I also find it ludicrous that people are prepared to give other MPs such as Reform a free ride, when Farage has yet to do the job he is paid for by us the taxpayer favouring to have his main job as a TV presenter, and Richard Tice has asked several questions in the House that were quite frankly embarrassing being both tenuous to the subject discussed and factually incorrect in their base assumptions. Even when key figures are coming out for the UK economy and new bills being introduced of importance the major headlines of Sky, the BBC and right leaning papers is about Taylor Swift tickets. Cringeworthy.

I see the Tory Councillor's wife Lucy Connolly has been sentenced to 31 months imprisonment for inciting racial hatred on X/Twitter.
Well the trial of Labour Councillor Ricky Jones should be interesting to see how long he gets having said to a crowd we need to slit their throats about the right wing.

You cant see it but you prove my point with this post, this thread is about the Labour govt, you are unable to criticise them so you mention the conservatives and even Reform/Farage/Tice who have never been in govt...as I said its a smokescreen.

I kept telling you 'they're all the same' .
