Let's hope the policies match the strength of the victory that Epping suggests.
Nothing so far, hopefully the publication of the manifesto will declare all.

I think this 'breakfast for school kids' is absurd. As the Labour Shadow Secretary for Education quite clearly stated Labour do not know how many breakfast's they will have to provide, and they don't know how much it will cost. Sorry, but it really is up to the parent's to give their own kids breakfast! No excuses.
As for VAT on Private School's the long-term policy for Labour is to get rid of Private Schools completely. Angela Raynor makes it quite clear in this video...

Nigel Farage backing Ian Paisley and Sammy Wilson as they’re ‘old beer buddies’, says Ben Habib..by Suzanne McGonagle.

But the co-deputy leader of Reform UK has insisted that his party’s support of the TUV still stands. It comes after Mr Farage said he will be personally endorsing the two DUP candidates in the General Election - despite his party’s alliance with the rival TUV. Speaking to the BBC Good Morning Ulster programme, Mr Habib denied that the situation was a mess. “The reality is that Ian Paisley and Sammy Wilson are old beer buddies of Nigel’s,” he said. “Nigel has obviously got a hell of a lot on his plate, taking over as leader, trying to get his legs under the desk and they asked him for a personal endorsement and he said ‘yeah, sure’. “It is one buddy to another without having really thought through the party position.” But Mr Habib added that “Reform UK supports unequivocally Jim Allister”. “Ian Paisley and Sammy tapped him on the shoulder at a time when Nigel was obviously busy,” he said. “Being friends he gave them his personal endorsement and that is the end of it.” Mr Paisley’s friendship with Mr Farage that has seen them meet over drinks would have been in opposition to his father, the late Ian senior, who was tee-total and famously referred to alcoholic drink as the ‘devil’s buttermilk’. Mr Paisley is the DUP candidate in North Antrim, where he will be challenged by TUV leader Jim Allister. Mr Wilson is running in the East Antrim constituency, where the TUV candidate is Matthew Warwick. The TUV formed an electoral alliance with Reform UK ahead of July’s poll and is standing in 14 constituencies in Northern Ireland. Mr Habib added that he feels Reform UK were “forced into party politics” in Northern Ireland due to “issues with the Irish Sea Border” - giving Mr Allister their support due to his stance on it. “Jim Allister has absolutely got Reform UK’s 100% support,” he said. ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/6/11/b1919fa3-7eeb-487b-b420-270a09191d8e.jpgIan Paisley and Nigel Farage in 2019

I know my late wife and I would have been horrified not to send our two sons to school without a hearty breakfast. My twin grand children in Seattle would never leave the house for school without a healthy breakfast. But they are privileged. Both parents work from home most of the time and alternate breakfast/school run. This is not available for so many and do we just stand aside and watch these kids have a degree of their development impaired as a result. I say not. We are supposedly civilised

Sad stats for an "advanced" economy
"According to the Department for Work and Pensions' (DWP) Households Below Average Income survey, in 2021/22, 4.7 million people (7%) in the UK were in food insecure households. Among the 11.0 million people found to be in relative poverty, 15% were in food insecure households, including 21% of children.24 Aug 2023"

Is a parent doing Midnight to 8AM shift in A&E, response team or a food supplier feckless? Is the fact that their pay barely covers rent, council tax and utilities.ake them wastrels? No, Houston we have a problem

Come on Nobby, No, you are claiming that 11 million people in the UK live in relative poverty. I am just asking you to define just what is 'relative poverty'! It's a big number and a big claim.

Sunak is toast Oldie. You're wasting your time by posting this stuff. Better to look at what Labour will do to the country. It is looking like there will not be a credible Opposition Party. Is that good for Democracy?

Is that good for Democracy? I will wait for the manifesto from Labour before I have a go. If they are not radical in their proposition, if they are not able to ignore the monkeys jumping up and down over proposals that have yet to be fleshed out, if they do not say, in line item detail, what Tory Ideologically driven austerity has done to us then I will be angry. The multi headed hydra of Hayek economics needs to be slain once and for all. In the meantime there is a kid who is not eating properly, being "educated" (cough) in a dilapidated building

What a pathetic Manifesto from the Tories. NI being cut by 2p, yet the threshold is frozen, thereby dragging more lower paid people into the NI band.
Next up will be Labour. Will we see a "four weeks to save our NHS" appeal again?

Will we see a "four weeks to save our NHS" appeal again? The Tories have given up, surely? How can any senior Tory come out and defend that. Only the Reform manifesto is worse
