What a pathetic Manifesto from the Tories. NI being cut by 2p, yet the threshold is frozen, thereby dragging more lower paid people into the NI band. Next up will be Labour. Will we see a "four weeks to save our NHS" appeal again? The Tories have given up, surely? How can any senior Tory come out and defend that. Only the Reform manifesto is worse Reform haven't produced a Manifesto.

I don’t normally listen to James O’Brien but couldn’t resist today as the first hour was brexit , and after what happened last week in eu elections I thought this could be fun , normally he’s we must rejoin , today We left the eu 8 yrs ago , we’re not going back , people need to get used to this 😂😂😂😂 Looks like he’s not so keen on the eu when it’s moving to the right , though he described it as hard right We then moved onto why the eu was going right , uk left ( uk isn’t going left it’s just a large % of population think labour will be milk & honey , give it 5 yrs & we will be back to the tories , he asked for people from eu countries to say why there country is going right , apparently callers from Germany were saying its migration , but specifically Arabs , there causing big trouble , they want them gone . Onto France & a few reason , but mainly immigration & one women said she asked her 20 yr old son why he’d voted for m/ l/ p party , he said because Arabs are ruining there country , they had a 2 nd generation immigrant who said the new immigrants were taking his jobs & many of his friends , so even though he said he was a immigrant , coloured he want immigration stopping . We then moved onto the tories manifesto , I thought it was ok apart from everything he was doing was basically clearing up the mess the tories had made , we then moved onto questions from reporters / tv & within mins O’Brien wanted to know why the first question was from gb news 😂😂😂

Reform UK manifesto: Nigel Farage’s key policies at a glance..by Dominic Penna.Reform UK will release its “contract with the people” in full on June 17th, Nigel Farage has announced as he set out more of the party’s economic pledges to repair the “skint” UK. The party leader vowed to boost economic growth by increasing the income tax threshold from £12,570 to £20,000 at a press conference in London following Mr Farage’s surprise return to front-line politics. The insurgent Right-wing party was already on course to cost the Conservatives dearly at the general election on July 4th, as it refused to stand down its candidates to help the Prime Minister. And Mr Farage’s surprise decision take over the Reform leadership from Richard Tice poses a fresh headache for the Tories as Reform have surged in the polls to only one point behind Mr Sunak. Both the party and Mr Farage are characterised by their desire to have “difficult conversations” on the future of the UK, particularly with voters frustrated by the current levels of immigration. The party has come a long way since scoring its first MP in March and remains steadfast against stepping aside for the Tories – unlike the Brexit Party in 2019 – even if this were to result in a Labour government. Mr Farage has confirmed the party will release their formal manifesto on Monday June 17th, one of the later parties to publish their full list of policies. He revealed some details of the party’s “contract with the people” in the week prior, but refused to call the document a manifesto. At a press conference in London, Mr Farage said: “We won’t call it a manifesto because in most people’s minds manifesto equals lie.” However, the party previously unveiled a draft manifesto titled Our Contract with You. Here is a summary of its pledges so far. Much more below:www.msn.com/en-gb/money/other/reform-uk-manifesto-nigel-farage-s-key-policies-at-a-glance/ar-BB1njLRi?ocid=BingNewsSerp

Labour below 40% for the first time this year! Tories in a death spiral below 20%! And the 'Protest' vote gaining ground with Reform, Greens and even the sleep walking LibDems picking up votes. Maybe people are concluding that Tories/Labour really are two cheeks of the same arse. Some people are a bit slow, but I guess they're getting there eventually. If Labour continues to lose votes, they will go to the protest parties.

The main argument between the parties seems to be "we won't put up taxes as much as you!". There is only one party that has said they would not put up any taxes - The Reform Party.

ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/1440/cpsprodpb/0287/production/_133374600_green-hero-live-nc.pngThe Green Party is launching its manifesto with plans to boost health and social care spending by £50bn a year The party would raise National Insurance to 8% on people earning over £50,270 They would also introduce a 1% wealth tax on assets over £10m, and 2% on over £1bn ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/6/12/cba5da11-5d6b-43b2-9f0c-64317af383ac.jpgSian Berry takes to the stage first, as the Green Party officially launches its manifesto at the Sussex Cricket ground in Hove. She starts off by discussing the struggles tenants face with renting and what the party plans to do to change that. She then introduces the party's co-leaders Adrian Ramsay and Carla Denyer. Stay with us as we bring you the latest from their speeches. ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/6/12/8d04374e-2ad8-4a6b-9b59-9a91a6f7c764.jpgGreen Party co-leaders Carla Denyer and Adrian Ramsay take the stage, to huge applause. Denyer is first to speak. She says the party's manifesto is about "investing to mend broken Britain", and offering "real hope, and real change". Carla Denyer now talks about housing, calling it an "unaddressed crisis". She goes through their pledges of more social homes, saying that they will "provide affordable housing through our right homes, right place, right price charter." Denyer reminds their pledges on decreasing energy bills by improving insulating homes in five years. She claims "a warm, secure, affordable home is something that millions of people in this country don't have", but that it is "so important a basic building block for a happy and successful life." Denyer says Greens want to transform the economy to make it "fairer and greener". Their plans include a new wealth tax charged at 1% on all assets worth more than £10m, declared in a self-assessment tax return, increasing to 2% on all assets above £1bn. She says this affects the top 1% of people who'll be paying more into the pot. Denyer says on the doorstep, people say they want more to be done on public services, and Greens are the only ones to have the "courage" to say the tax system needs to be changed to make this possible. "Billions" would go into the nation's collective pocket to pay for the future of our public services. Carla Denyer now talks about housing, calling it an "unaddressed crisis". She goes through their pledges of more social homes, saying that they will "provide affordable housing through our right homes, right place, right price charter." Denyer then discusses the party's pledges on decreasing energy bills by improving insulating homes in five years. She says a "warm, secure, affordable home is something that millions of people in this country don't have", but that it is "so important a basic building block for a happy and successful life." Denyer is now outlining some of the Green Party's other pledges. She says it includes plans to bring the water companies into public ownership, scrap tuition fees, increase the budget for schools, and introduce a new Clean Air Act, which will help "safeguard our children's health". "Now is the moment to be ambitious, not unrealistic, but ambitious. To be clear about the kind of country we want to live in," she says. ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/6/12/ed8e5da2-d179-43d9-88d9-c31f01144f3d.jpgThen, we hear from Ramsay, who says the Greens want to build a "brighter future". He says this manifesto "isn't more of the same", but "a look at what things could be like, and soon. If we're willing to invest at the rate necessary and to be bold and ambitious". He says the Greens reject the "pessimism of the other parties". Ramsay is now speaking on the NHS, and says health service staff have praised their plans. He says the Greens would invest an extra £50bn a year in health and social care - "more than any other party" - to "restore" the NHS. Ramsay says his party would ensure people can access GPs quickly, guarantee an NHS dentist, make social care free at the point of use, improve mental health services and say "no to privitisation". Ramsay picks up to talk about the environment - saying other parties are "running away" from solutions to the "climate crisis". "Protecting our climate and nature lies at the heart of our policies," Ramsay says - adding the Greens will "strive every single day" to take the action needed. Ramsay says the Greens will stop fossil fuel projects in the UK and be "more ambitious" in renewable energy. "A secure energy supply and action in climate crisis go hand in hand," Ramsay says - adding the Greens want to achieve net zero "years ahead" of the current timetable. Ramsay says the Greens aren't expecting to form the next government - but says their MPs will be in Parliament to "speak up for you on the issues you care about". He says these issues are the "revitalisation" of the NHS, bold action on climate and a fair economy. Ramsay says he believes Labour will be in power and he will push them to "stop backtracking on their promises" and will drive them to "be more ambitious". "This is our offer to voters - a manifesto that lays out exactly what real hope and real change looks like," he says.

Labours net zero plans will make anyone who owns a diesel / petrol car worse off 🙄🙄, more milk & honey , not I am not convinced that electric cars are the future. The second-hand market for them is dire, due to the future cost of replacing the batteries.
