THe online funny papers have us in the frame for Rochdale's Devante Rodney, I know nothing about him, but his name does remind me of Oscar Levant... I don't know if Devante Rodney can play the piano DrJD,but he has a physical presence, good link up player and can score goals. Could well be an MT target. i2-prod.stokesentinel.co.uk/incoming/article4302737.ece/ALTERNATES/s810/0_Devante-Rodney.jpgWhen he signed for Port Vale...Career Stats: Age: 25 (26 in may) Forward, P249, G56, For Hartlepool, Salford, Halifax, Stockport, Port Vale, Walsall & Rochdale.

If I as excited by us then I might be tempted to attend the odd game. As it is I've found better things to do with my time and money. With your money, maybe, but you're spending as much of your time on a Rovers message board as I am. I might go more often, were it more exciting, but I tend to go when circumstances and geography occasionally allow. I can't imagine withholding support entirely* because I was bored by the lack of marquee signings. This is Bristol Rovers! *22nd February 2021 was the only time I did. I spend time on here but only downtime, not a whole Saturday where I'm fully commited. There's a big difference.

I would be putting in a good effort to sign 27 year old Macaulay Langstaff of Notts County asap. Notts County will finish well away from the play-offs, but this player has shone bright. With 28 goals in 47 games this season & 70 goals in 95 over the last 2 seasons, he would IMO be ideal for us. The 3 promoted teams will know all about him and may well bid, we need to act quickly, we need a goalscorer. Buy a proven goalscorer at our lower level standard and build a team around him, Conteh, Evans & Rossiter. i2-prod.nottinghampost.com/incoming/article7774636.ece/ALTERNATES/s810/2_GettyImages-1244128343.jpg

I think we should take this with a pinch of salt. footballleagueworld.co.uk is one of Wael's puff piece outlets.

Just read it, its embarrassing, especially the Finley grovel. Does he stand outside the players entrance with his autograph book in complete awe of players. You get the feeling that things at the club are slipping away from him and he's finding it difficult to come to terms with it.

I think people are being a tad unfair on Wael. Our captain who’s had a good 3 years with us is leaving and puts out a tweet (?) which is responded to by his chairman and owner of two of those years. Sam F was an important member of our seventh promotion team and deserved to be thanked for his career with us. I understand that Wael might not be the most popular on here but I would fully expect Sam F to be thanked publicly for his efforts. I think it’s a matter of courtesy which in the recent week is something to be pleased about.

UTG, Wareham, if you were Hussain Al- Saeed how would you feel about a journalist being fed these lines ? “In recent times, thanks to the investment of co-owner Wael Al Qadi, Rovers have committed to enhancing the infrastructure at the club, which has seen the introduction of a new training complex. The hierarchy at Rovers - which now also includes controlling shareholder and Chairman Hussain Al Saeed, and his son Abdullatif as club Vice-President - have vowed to continue the development of the training complex, which also includes a commitment to take the clubs own youth academy from Category 3 to a category 2 status.” Apart from kicking a football around and exchanging juvenile chatter with Marvin Rees Wael has done nothing for Rovers since last August and there is certainly no indication that he’s working harmoniously with Hussain and Abdullatif. Everything is being fronted by Hussain and Abdullatif and they are the ones who have discovered what a mess Wael left them with and which they must now try to sort out. So I doubt they are too enamored to read lines giving the impression they are merely Wael’s little helpers. And let’s be frank about the “training complex”. The Al- Saeeds don’t intend to continue developing it their plan is to rip it up and start again.

Media articles should only be issued by the club as a single entity rather than by individual directors, managers or players pushing their individual agendas. Otherwise we get this - articles issued with hidden messages which does little for confidence and togetherness.

In the scenario Rovers get off to a poor start, then that poor start continues from ten games,I hope we can muster the ability to hire a decent Manager.
Maybe MT will succeed.

The Al- Saeeds don’t intend to continue developing it their plan is to rip it up and start again. For stability I hope that Wael is working closely with the Al-Saeeds. United we stand, divided we fall. There is nothing to suggest that this is the case (unless someone can point me to a recent joint interview or exactly where they are collaborating). There are suggestions that Wael is actively working against the new owners. Not proven. But that's what it looks like from the wilds of Essex. I think Wael will be leaving in the not too distant. For his track record on managerial appointments (GC apart). Yeah. Byeeeee.

The Al- Saeeds don’t intend to continue developing it their plan is to rip it up and start again. For clarity: I have as much scepticism as any others do about WAQ and his methods of publicity (self-publicity). I am aware of his love affair with ‘celebrity’ in its widest sense so have little interest in what he talks about at one of his jollies trying to create a place for himself in the football world. I was commenting on his replying to Sam Finley’s goodbye tweet. Has JB commented on Sam F leaving? Has our current majority owner or his son? If they have I haven’t seen them though I’m not on Twitter so may have missed them. Someone certainly should say thank you. I’m glad WAQ did. I read that article with complete scepticism and knowing the spin WAQ puts on things am completely aware of how to interpret it. But Sam F was an important part of our seventh promotion and was glad to see the owner at that time, WAQ, saying ‘thank you’ to him. Well deserved and the least that should happen. The last player to give 3 consistent years of service at the level Sam F has must be some time ago. The rest of the article is just piffle. I am aware of that!! UTG!

Well he was very good for them so prob judging him on that. He was very, very good for them in a six-month period. His record before wasn't impressive and there were also off-field issues at his first club. Max Ehmer was also very good for Gillingham and Carl Regan was very good for MK Dons. Mickey Evans also scored goals in the PL but looked like a fan who had stumbled onto the pitch when he played for us. Play players in a settled team where they know their role and this will conceal their weaknesses and shortcomings, in large part because the other players know what they are. Play the same player in an unsettled team in a variety of positions, and these same weaknesses and shortcomings will be cruelly laid bare, for all to see and remark on.

Harry Kite leaving Exeter City could be one we sign Would like another former Grecian Matt Jay from Colchester Both are well known to Taylor and Mcalister. Harry Kite was seen flying up the M5 towards Bristol. It could be that MT is pulling his strings.

Harry Kite explains why he has chosen to leave Exeter City..by Daniel Clark.i2-prod.devonlive.com/incoming/article8300678.ece/ALTERNATES/s1200e/1_PPAUK_Exeter_Chiefs_v_Barnsley_Goal_Kite_280323_TS_037.jpgExeter City academy graduate Harry Kite has said that it is time for him to fly the nest and move on for the benefit of his career when he leaves St James Park this summer. The 23-year-old will leave the Grecians when his current contract runs out in the summer having turned down offers of a new deal. The midfielder - who has made 101 appearances for the Grecians, scoring seven goals, joined City at the age of nine. But Saturday’s game at home to Oxford United will be his final appearance in the red and white. He follows fellow homegrown player Alex Hartridge in departing St James Park after Saturday's final game of the season at home to Oxford United. And Kite said that the move was one that he felt he needed to make for his own playing career to get back to being a first team regular. "I got offered a couple of contracts at the end of last season," Kite said. “It was similar to Alex I guess, for my career now, I would benefit from moving on. "I feel I've contributed to the club to be where we were when I broke into the first team to being a team fighting at the top of League Two, and then to get promotion and be a stable League One team, I think I'm quite happy with how that's progressed. I feel like for me now, looking selfishly towards my career, I feel that a move would benefit me just with new experiences and new challenges." “There is no club in the pipeline yet. Once the season finishes, teams then start to move to recruitment more, and then know more. I have only ever known Exeter, SJP, and I love the club to bits, I have been here the amount of time I have, but I feel for my career, I need a change. “It is emotional for me, it has been a really good stint, so I am happy with the contribution I have made throughout the seasons, so it will be emotional the last game of the season and playing for the last time at SJP.” Kite joined City as a nine-year-old, and made his first team debut as a 17-year-old in the EFL Trophy in 2017. It wasn’t until October 2020 before he made a league appearance, but then established himself in Exeter's midfield in the League Two promotion-winning season of 2021-22. i2-prod.devonlive.com/incoming/article9223758.ece/ALTERNATES/s1200e/1_PPAUK_Exeter_City_v_Portsmouth_291223_TS_035.jpg
