Rolex GMT II's are still making strong money (Premium of about 6k over list minimum depending on colour choice) as are Daytona's which are currently £15k over list minimum. Richard Mille are making a fortune now. I have to be careful but I inherited one , I very rarely wear it though and normally use my Tag or Breitling. I keep being told not to sell the Rolex. I love IWC watches personally as I see so many wearing Rolex now. The green faced Daytona is one of the few I really do like I wouldn't sell the Rolex currently. They are a bit like Aston Martin, they arent the most expensive cars in the world, but the strength of brand means they hold and appreciate in value. I bought my first Rolex in 2018, a GMT II Batman after my son was born and I have been offered double what I have paid for it both on and off the market. Since I have also bought a GMT II Black/Gold, a Submariner Bamford and Starbucks and I have another GMT II Rootbeer on order for early 2025. Once that arrives I hope to get on the list for a Daytona. They are very sound investments some of which I'll sell on and some which my son will inherit one day to do with as he chooses. I also have a Heuer Monaco McQueen, Tag Heuer 2000 series (which was my first proper watch I bought when I was 21) and an Omega Seamaster. I have often considered an IWC but they dont seem to appreciate like a Rolex. There was an interesting video I came across on youtube a few weeks back of a guy who bought a Daytona in 1973 when he was in the forces in Thailand. Rarely worn, boxed, paperwork and guarantee certificate all immaculate. He paid $400 for it and it was valued at $500k.

Had I not inherited then I would not buy but I do know a bit about them.

Looks nice, if it was not battery operated I’d have no problem wearing it

2 years to pay for Collins and from a club with a poor record with finance. I’m surprised we took that
