Blue Tornado you deserve a medal for all the great pictures you’ve posted during the tournament. Thank you.

FWIW some observations from deepest Dorset:
…India was the best team of the six-week tournament.
…Australia the best team when it mattered, in the final.
…But when it comes to the knockout part of any tournament anything can happen and today it did. The semi finals were very predictable but today Australia out-thought and out-played India.
…Australia were worthy winners, well done to them.
…Australia lost (I think) their first two games but didn’t panic, England lost their first two games and got into a real mess, they did panic.
…And one last, slightly contentious observation, I don’t want to listen Sky commentators telling me that “India loves it cricket” any more. They don’t love their cricket. They love winning cricket but once they realised they were losing they lost interest. Very little applause for the magnificent innings by Travis Head when he was out. The few Australians and his team applauded him in but the crowd were largely silent. No acknowledgment by the crowd of the magnitude of that innings. Well done to the Indian team led by Rohit Sharma, gracious at that moment and at the end.
