West Ham United, Fulham and Wolves are among the clubs who are interested. The Blues will ask for £50m for Broja, who has scored two goals in 17 appearances this season. Marseille are planning to make an offer for West Ham winger Said Benrahma after having a first bid for the 28-year-old Algerian turned down.

ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/3461/live/d6724e80-b24f-11ee-bc2f-cb5579b90709.jpgWe asked you for your thoughts on West Ham's FA Cup third-round replay defeat by Bristol City on Tuesday.
Here are some of your comments:
Nick: Poor, no discipline, outplayed from the start. It must be the last game for Ings, Cornet and Cresswell. I blame Zouma for his lack of effort to get back for their goal. Overall, I'm disappointed and it was what I expected. Out of the EFL Cup and FA Cup now and, after the next two games, we will probably be 11th in league and going south. Dave: Rubbish - no fight to win, no passion. Moyes didn’t show any will to win in his interview before the game. The team selection wasn’t good because we don’t have any squad depth. It's time to get rid of the substandard players, David Moyes and the board. John: We got what we deserved tonight. A big part of the players are not good enough. There's nothing David Moyes could've done if the players are looking elsewhere. The chairman not backing him enough after winning the Europa Conference League was criminal. Liam: Benrahma was a fool. The injuries were hugely hampering. I maintain that no other Premier League manager would play a 5-4-1 formation, against a Championship team, with Ings as a lone striker. Really poor tactics. Over the two games, Moyes proved wholly ineffective at preparing and motivating his changed team. Hugely disappointing. Gerald: This team have been parking the bus too often and have forgotten the basics, such as how to pass the ball. I wish I could have a pound for every pass going to the opposition. Moyes can come out with all manner of excuses but the buck stops with him. The way they played, this team would struggle in the Championship.

Kalvin Phillips transfer news: West Ham interested in Manchester City midfielder..By Simon Stone, BBC Sport.
ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/115B8/production/_132369017_gettyimages-1742394617.jpg Kalvin Phillips has made 31 appearances for EnglandWest Ham are interested in Manchester City and England midfielder Kalvin Phillips. Phillip has made just 10 appearances so far this season and City are willing to let the 28-year-old leave in January. However, despite interest from numerous clubs including Newcastle and Juventus, there has been no agreement. City's demand for a loan fee for the former Leeds man, who signed for £45m in July 2022, is thought to be a stumbling block. "It's wrong to talk about players from other football clubs," said West Ham boss David Moyes when asked about Phillips during Friday's press conference ahead of Sunday's game at Sheffield United. They believe they are justified in taking their stance given Phillips remains a member of Gareth Southgate's England squad and is likely to go to the European Championships this summer if he can get regular playing time. Moyes is eager to strengthen a squad that has been weakened by a succession of injuries. Lucas Paqueta and Michail Antonio are both out for an extended period, while Moyes said Mexico midfielder Edson Alvarez had missed Tuesday's FA Cup defeat at Championship side Bristol City with a calf problem. ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/ffac/live/dbc2c830-b6b7-11ee-9e08-f533a7cfb33b.jpg

Report By Joe Rindl, BBC Sport.Sheffield United's Oli McBurnie scored the latest ever goal in the Premier League, dispatching a 103rd-minute penalty to rescue a point for Sheffield United against West Ham. Sheffield United were awarded the spot-kick in the 98th minute when Hammers keeper Alphonse Areola took out McBurnie. And having been made to wait to take it, the forward smashed his effort beyond substitute stopper Lukasz Fabianski with Areola forced to leave the pitch after receiving treatment. West Ham had been cruising towards a 2-1 victory after James Ward-Prowse's successful penalty in the 79th minute. Maxwel Cornet had given the Hammers a first-half lead with his first goal for the club before Ben Brereton Diaz equalised on the stroke of half-time on his Premier League debut. In second-half injury time, the match intensified with two red cards and two penalty shouts. Sheffield United substitute Rhian Brewster was sent off after video assistant referee intervention (VAR) for a high, late tackle on Emerson. And Vladimir Coufal was given a yellow card for demanding Brewster's sending off, before receiving a second booking minutes later for a cynical trip. The drama continued even after the Blades' late equaliser, with the Hammers wanting a late penalty of their own after Jarrod Bowen went down in the area. ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/1/21/61759da7-21e2-43a3-b69b-7962f2be4039.jpgAt full-time, sections of the West Ham fanbase were questioning manager David Moyes' position on social media. West Ham are winless in their past four matches and were knocked out of the FA Cup last week but they are still sixth in the league table and remain in Europe having won the Europa Conference League last term. Moyes' decision to replace winger Cornet with full-back Ben Johnson was met with boos and chants of "you don't know what you're doing" by some visiting supporters midway through the second half. But, despite rumblings of discontent from the away end, victory looked almost certain up until Coufal's 97th-minute red card which made the fixture 10 versus 10. And in the final seconds Bowen and Sheffield United defender Anel Ahmedhodzic clashed in the area trying to reach Ben Johnson's cross, but the Hammers forward was penalised for handball with West Ham players certain they should have been awarded a second penalty. i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/02/02/00/80726455-13035759-David_Moyes_side_have_agreed_a_17million_deal_that_includes_a_lo-a-50_1706834388961.jpg

Sheffield United 2-2 West Ham United: Does David Moyes deserve more respect?..By Joe Rindl, BBC Sport.ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/12BF4/production/_132388767_gettyimages-1942854314.jpgCries of #Moyesout are getting louder on social media. While West Ham boss David Moyes and his players were left questioning decisions at Bramall Lane, some Hammers supporters chose to vent their frustration at Moyes during the match and online. West Ham are winless in their past four matches and were knocked out of the FA Cup last week but they are still sixth in the league table and remain in Europe having won the Europa Conference League last term. Meanwhile, the 60-year-old's decision to replace winger Maxwel Cornet with full-back Ben Johnson in the second half was met with boos and chants of "you don't know what you're doing" by some visiting supporters. Former Hammers and Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand though called any criticism of the ex-Everton manager "ridiculous" and "disrespectful". "What are you really expecting?" Ferdinand said on TNT Sports. "I think it is disrespectful to even be asking about David Moyes. "He is doing a fabulous job and to criticise him is ridiculous, be careful what you wish for." West Ham face Bournemouth at home in their next Premier League match in 11 days time. Moyes will hope a win might silence some of the scrutiny.

I see it as two points dropped. "Look, I'm not going to come out and say much because we're the ones who would get in trouble. We'd like to, but we're getting to a stage now where the managers, we're seeing a level of officiating where we're shrugging our shoulders and saying, 'this is what we're getting now'. "We should have done better, we had 11 v 10 and we got caught in midfield to go down to 10. We were a little bit late in the challenge which I don't think was enough for a booking but it warranted one, the referee thought so and that's all we can do. "So, 10 v 10 should still be fine, we shouldn't concede at that point. I'm not sure the decision was correct, but other people will have other thoughts on it. "We were so poor, probably as bad as we have been with the ball. It was another call which did go against us which, on another day, could have gone for us and we could have come away as winners and we'd be talking a lot more positively. "Our standards are not where we want them to be." West Ham manager David Moyes on TNT Sports: "We should never have got ourselves red carded, we got caught on the ball in midfield. "Really, we had the chances to win, we had great chances to make it 3-0. "We went down to 10 v 10 in the last minute but even so that wasn't a problem, we should have defended it. "We defend as well as we could have done and a couple of decisions didn't go our way. "It was not good, probably our worst performance of the season as far as quality on the ball and quality of decisions. "I wouldn't like to blame the pitch but the pitch was quite hard, but I'd only be making excuses if I'd done that. That may be a reason for some of the poor passing in the first half. "We're disappointed, we feel as if things have gone against us. We'll only blame ourselves but ultimately we could look at other people as well."

Aston Villa have rejected West Ham's offer to sign 20-year-old Colombia striker Jhon Duran on loan with an option to buy. Aston Villa may allow Jhon Duran to leave if they are able to sign Middlesbrough winger Morgan Rogers, 21, while Unai Emery is also targeting a move for Elfsborg and Iceland keeper Hakon Valdimarsson, 22.

Kalvin Phillips transfer news: West Ham agree loan deal with Manchester City for England midfielder..
ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/131C8/production/_132408287_gettyimages-1897160777.jpg Kalvin Phillips has not started a Premier League game for Manchester City this seasonWest Ham have agreed a deal with Manchester City to sign England midfielder Kalvin Phillips on loan for the rest of the season. Phillips, 28, signed a six-year contract when he arrived at City from Leeds in a £45m deal in July 2022. However, he has struggled under Pep Guardiola and has only started twice this term in all competitions. Phillips, who is also interesting Juventus, now appears set to have a medical in London later this week. Personal terms are not expected to be a problem, with the Hammers set to cover Phillips' salary and there will be an option to make the move permanent. Numerous clubs had expressed an interest in the player but City's demand for a sizable loan fee has dissuaded clubs such as Newcastle from pursuing Phillips. Phillips, who remains a member of Gareth Southgate's England squad, is flying back to the UK today with the rest of the City squad from a warm-weather training camp in Abu Dhabi. The temporary recruitment of Phillips will come as a boost to Hammers boss David Moyes, who has been eager to strengthen a squad weakened by a succession of injuries. Meanwhile, Phillips, who has started just two games in the English top flight in 18 months, is likely to view it as an opportunity to showcase his talents prior to this summer's European Championship in Germany.

ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/9b9b/live/dc776590-ba01-11ee-ace0-c35c1b4f6d82.jpgWe asked for your thoughts on David Moyes and the current West Ham after Chris Sutton said on the Monday Night Club that criticism of the Scottish manager is "ridiculous" and Hammers fans should be "pinching themselves".
Here are some of your responses:
Phillip: I do not dislike Moyes and I respect what he has done for the club in his latest tenure. However I do not believe he has the tactical know-how to take West ham to the next level. He also frustrates me a lot with his actions and decisions. He is too rigid with his first XI, does not use the rest of the squad enough, and actually freezes players out. Dale: Chris is spot on. How David Moyes gets criticised from some of the fan base is unbelievable. Be careful what you wish for. Ian: How we are sixth in the league is beyond me as a team that sits back, concedes possession and concedes numerous shots. We have been extremely lucky and this is down to Moyes and his methods. We do not have a squad. My fear is that our talented players will leave playing this way. We are much better than this. It's up to Moyes. Ant: David Moyes is the best manager we’ve had since John Lyall. He’s made us hard to beat, has given us great league positions, won a European trophy and improved our recruitment. It truly is a great time to be an Iron, and, along with the owners, he’s the main reason. Fans who want him gone never say who would come to the club that would be better. Gethin: What is ridiculous is the amount of pundits who go into battle for Moyes. He's a limited manager who would struggle to get another top level Premier League job. Football has changed - fans want to be entertained and Moyes does not provide that. Who wants to watch their team not have the ball for most of any match even against the league's bottom team? Socrates: Don't think guys like Sutton and the others across the media have been watching West Ham under Moyes. His tactics and vision belong to another day - circa 2001. Awful to watch and does not know what to do with attacking players. Raised the white flag in the League Cup at Liverpool too. Would many other clubs want Moyes as manager? Doubt they would.

ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/34f5/live/9972f8a0-bba9-11ee-8685-316409d66f25.jpgWest Ham fans, we asked you for your views on the loan signing of Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City - providing the deal goes through of course.
Here is a flavour of your responses:
Mike: Pleased. This would be a great option, and it's the one he should have taken two years ago. He was only ever going to be a squad player at City. Moyes had a plan for him to be an integral part of the team. He chose to chase money and glory and it didn't work out. Jillian: Philips is a great signing. However, if Moyes resorts to the usual 'bedding in' nonsense, I wonder how much game time he'll really get by the end of the season. Mel: I think the loan move is good for all parties. Kalvin gets game time and basically is in the shop window for all clubs to judge him. West Ham may benefit as a result and it may mean that his value increases if he is sold at the end of the season. Brian: Great news, he hasn't been given a chance at City to really prove himself. He will certainly get that at West Ham, just hope he is not too injury prone. With him alongside Alvarez, this will be a strong midfield for us. Looking forward to seeing him. James: As a West Ham fan, we are buzzing with this deal. Low risk for us, especially if correct about the option to buy in the summer, which avoids the Lingard situation from a few years ago. Nobody seriously describes us as rivals to City, but credit to them for being open to selling/loaning to strengthen other teams in the league. Great move for player and both clubs. ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/cb7e/live/606f76b0-bc2a-11ee-ae84-0b3f1ba026f7.jpg

Kalvin Phillips transfer news: West Ham sign England midfielder on loan from Manchester City..
ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/1CB9/production/_132435370_gettyimages-1953718567.jpg Phillips has not started a Premier League game for Manchester City this seasonEngland midfielder Kalvin Phillips said he wants to "add the quality I know I'm capable of" to West Ham after joining them on loan from Manchester City for the rest of the season. There is no option to buy included in the 28-year-old's switch. Phillips signed a six-year contract when he joined City from Leeds United in a £45m deal in July 2022. "There's so much to look forward to in the second half of the season. I can't wait to be part of it," he said. "There's an unbelievable group here and if I can come in and add the quality that I know I'm capable of, I'm sure we can give the West Ham fans plenty to be excited about between now and the end of the season." West Ham are sixth in the Premier League and have reached the Europa League knockout rounds which get under way in March. "We are really pleased to bring a player of Kalvin's quality to West Ham United," said Moyes. "We've been big admirers of him for a long time and we believe that he will add strength and competition to our squad. "Kalvin is an England international midfielder, with proven Premier League experience. We're excited to welcome him into the group and look forward to working with him." Phillips, who has 31 England caps and remains a member of Gareth Southgate's squad, is likely to view the move as an opportunity to get regular playing time and boost his chances of playing at this summer's European Championship in Germany. He leaves City having scored just one goal - against Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League. Phillips made 21 appearances in all competitions last season as City won the Premier League, FA Cup and their first Champions League title to complete a historic Treble.

West Bromwich Albion: West Ham striker Callum Marshall joins as Tom Fellows signs new deal..

The 19-year-old made his senior Hammers debut in their FA Cup defeat by Bristol City earlier this month. He has 19 goals for the Premier League side's under-21 team this season. Meanwhile, Albion winger Tom Fellows has signed a new deal with the Championship club until 2027, having made 17 appearances this season and scored in his past two games. The 20-year-old came through the club's academy and was given his first-team debut in 2021, before spending last season on loan at Crawley Town. "I feel like I can keep getting minutes here and for someone my age, I think the only way you get better is by playing games and being around the senior environment. Hopefully I can keep doing that," he told the club website. West Brom, fifth in the Championship table, are at home to Black Country rivals Wolves in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Sunday. Marshall is cup-tied so will not be able to feature in the match, but said of his move: "I know the team are flying - I've watched a few games from my digs in London. Carlos [Corberan] seems like a top coach and I'm really excited to get working under him."

Everton can only submit a loan bid for Said Benrahma, who has been given the green light to leave London Stadium by Hammers boss David Moyes. The Hammers are keen to replace Benrahma with 24-year-old Al-Ittihad and Portugal winger Jota. They will also rebuff interest from Wolves and Crystal Palace for 31-year-old forward Danny Ings. Meanwhile, West Ham have turned down an enquiry from Crystal Palace about signing English full-back Ben Johnson, with the 24-year-old out of contract in the summer.

Said Benrahma: West Ham accept loan offer from Lyon..By Simon Stone, BBC Sport.
ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/DB89/production/_132510265_gettyimages-1903041430.jpg Benrahma signed for West Ham from Brentford in 2020, in a deal rising to £30mWest Ham have accepted an offer from Lyon to sign winger Said Benrahma on loan until the end of the season. If the deal goes through, it would include an obligation to buy for £15m, with the final decision now in the 28-year-old Algerian's hands. Benrahma joined West Ham from Brentford in October 2020 and his current deal runs to 2026. But he has been an inconsistent performer during his three years with the Hammers. He started last season's Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina and scored the opening goal from the penalty spot in West Ham's momentous 2-1 win. However, Benrahma has failed to find the net in 22 appearances this season and was sent off in the FA Cup replay defeat at Bristol City on 16 January. He was controversially left out of Algeria's squad for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament. Meanwhile, West Ham have rejected a bid from Real Betis for Spain midfielder Pablo Fornals. A second offer is expected, with West Ham willing to let Fornals leave given he has started just four Premier League games this season. ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/1/31/f338e11e-5063-4749-ad9d-5c13f2a802a3.jpg

West Ham manager David Moyes on team news: - West Ham v Bournemouth - Thu 7.30pm"There's nothing really to bring up to date on injuries. "Mohammed Kudus is back from the Afcon, which is good, and Edson Alvarez is doing much better. Apart from that, I think that's about it." On Nayef Aguerd after Morocco's exit from Afcon yesterday: "I expect him to be back with the squad soon." West Ham manager David Moyes on Bournemouth: "The manager [Andoni Iraola] has done a brilliant job with them. "He's got them playing really good and we're up against some strong opposition. But we're saying that every week, given how strong the league is." West Ham manager David Moyes on striker Danny Ings: "We're desperate for Danny to be the Danny we want to see, through his goals. "When he arrived [last January] he got a couple of goals against Nottingham Forest. He's not had as many opportunities due to different things, but I thought he played very well against Sheffield United. "We played him in a deeper role and I hope he's been saving his goalscoring opportunities for the weeks to come." ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/768/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/1/31/b45b5eb9-e9ef-41e2-bd8b-085b5b9454c8.jpgWest Ham manager David Moyes on Kalvin Phillips, who has joined on loan from Manchester City: "We're talking about a boy with really good character. I heard Pep Guardiola's comments about him and I would agree with those, having had him here for a week now. "We want to see his footballing ability now. I think he's got a chance now to get himself back on track. We've brought in another England international to our squad and that's a big plus. "Is he ready to start tomorrow? I don't know. He's not played much but I know he's been training and keeping himself going. But I couldn't give you an exact answer right now." ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/1/31/9c5546cf-e7d9-4e3b-b999-6010db67b7b2.jpg

West Ham boss David Moyes hopes Kalvin Phillips can match Jesse Lingard impact..

England midfielder Phillips has joined the Hammers on loan from Manchester City for the rest of the season Lingard scored nine goals in 16 league matches to help West Ham finish sixth after signing on loan from Manchester United in January 2021. "This time a couple of years ago we got Jesse Lingard, he really helped us," said Moyes. "I'm hoping Kalvin can have a similar impact as what Jesse had." Defensive midfielder Phillips, 28, struggled for first-team football at City after signing for the club from Leeds United in a £45m deal in July 2022. He made just two starts and 16 Premier League appearances in total during his 18 months at City, although continued to be picked by England manager Gareth Southgate. "His pedigree over the years has made me feel he's a player I'd like to have at the club," said Moyes. "For some time he's been a mainstay of the England national team. He's someone who has been a really good player. The move to City hasn't worked as well as he would have liked." West Ham are sixth in the Premier League this season and Phillips could make his debut for the club against Bournemouth on Thursday. "Everybody has something to prove," added Moyes. "Jesse had something to prove and Kalvin has as well. "There is a big competition at the end of the season where he'll be hoping to be in good form. "We're talking about a boy with really good character. I think he's got a chance now to get himself back on track. We've brought in another England international to our squad and that's a big plus."

Is Pablo Fornals on his way out of West Ham..by Simon Stone, BBC Sport.ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/2/1/6943542d-6f04-4ebf-b699-dc7dbf817bc9.pngWest Ham are being linked with a lot of potential deals but I am told it is expected to be quiet at London Stadium. Said Benrahma should complete a loan to Lyon and there is interest in Pablo Fornals but whether anything materialises is another matter. Maxwel Cornet was linked with Nottingham Forest earlier in the week and now Crystal Palace have been mentioned. It will be interesting to see if someone comes up with an acceptable offer. Cornet was excellent at Burnley but it just hasn't happened for him with the Hammers.

ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/188b/live/a6cf7130-c055-11ee-ace0-c35c1b4f6d82.jpgOn Wednesday, we asked you what West Ham's ideal final day of business in the January transfer window would look like.
Here is a selection of your responses:
John: Everybody knows we need to make at least two signings. A striker is a must as relying on Danny Ings is wishful thinking. No doubt we will end up with no new signings apart from loans. If we let players go then we are going to be desperately thin on the ground, knowing Moyes' reluctance to play his youngsters. John: My dream deadline day would be a left-winger coming in to replace Said Benrahma to help us continue this great momentum the club is continuing to build post-Covid. Plus of course, three points against Bournemouth on deadline night. Pep: I would like to see Benrahma, Pablo Fornals, Ings and Maxwel Cornet sold, with two proven strikers bought in. Also let Divin Mubama go out on loan to get some playing time after he signs a new deal. Mike: It was great getting Kalvin Phillips as he deserves to keep his England spot. I just hope the centre-backs are in the right head space for the rest of the season and that the fringe players try to step up to the plate. Luke: I'd like to say offload Ings, Benny, and Fornals... however, we have quite a depleted squad anyway. If we are going to progress further in Europe and stay fighting for Europe for next season, we have to bring some players in. Can't just rely on Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta. Steve: IMO we need a striker who knows where the goal is, a winger that can cross a ball, like Devonshire and 3 points just before the window shuts...
