Thought the Cambridge commentator remarking was one of our stands a 'Listed Building' was epic. Better even than the 'Chernobyl' remark from Bolton fans on their first visit. Always good to smile about these things including the visit from the Dutch fans who enquired ,'Why do you have stands at your training ground?'. On another note JB's cheering to the fans after yesterday's win I found quite emotional

Not now, they’re MK Dons fans! 😁 Cheltenham next Saturday. Is it a trip to chose our seats for next season?

Ben Toner is definitely one of the better refs we get. Good to win today but we do need to beat sides like this, accrington, Lincoln and Shrewsbury at home if we are not to struggle. 2 more wins in Oct and an acceptable points return from the month Blimey. Thanks for the positive response. We won today. No problem. Think my response is both positive and accurate. Happy that we won. Less so that we have let a load of teams escape from the mem with points that if we had anything about us we should be taking. We may come to rue this when we are playing the better sides at home. I don't expect us to beat every side we face but do expect more than 2 points at home from games against Shrewsbury, Morecambe, Accrington, Lincoln and FGR. Is that really too much to ask for/expect?

Those games were in the past, with loads of injuries. Yesterday and last week were completely different, due to a far stronger team.
3 games unbeaten. There's a huge positive.

Exactly DrF.Due to "injuries",suspensions and form, selection and results are fluid. Ever changing. Good result for Nailsworth yesterday.

No it's not, to much to ask for. With Plymouth on the horizon and Derby & Sheffield Wednesday away this was always a tough month. Given our record so far this season, Cambridge was a game we had to win and we did. I hope for 4 points from the next 2 games, because I wouldn't be surprised if that's all we get for the rest of the month. Which would leave us with 16 points at the end of October. Then we have Fleetwood, Peterborough, Charlton, Port Vale Bolton before Christmas. When we concede 62% possession at home to Cambridge that does not fill me with a huge amount of confidence. There is always hope, a bit of luck and an unexpected result.

Interesting that bottom of league 2 Crawley who we lost to in the league cup when Barton made just one team change have sacked their manager over the weekend. Fully expecting Oxford one of our few wins to consider their managers future.

Of course it’s a positive. Can’t see anyone saying otherwise. We should still have enough about us to get more than 2 points out of the 5 home games I listed even with injuries suspensions bad luck dodgy refs and freak acts of nature. Id expect a minimum of 10 points from them. We’ve now used up all our home horror shows in a matter of weeks and need some wins against the better sides to balance this out. Two more wins in Oct and we hsve had a reasonable month

Every team in our league has to cope with stuff like that. It's only the ones who lose a string of winnable games that use this as an excuse. We have a pretty good squad all things considered. We haven't helped ourselves by the manager thinking he is a tactical genius and unnecessarily tinkering with a game plan that worked for the players we have at our disposal.

Based on a desire to see the manager gone, rather than football commonsense. Joe is'nt scared to experiment. Sometimes it works, other times not.He is honest enough to say when it does'nt. It's refreshing to have a manager prepared to take a step back,to then take 3 forward later. I've posted for weeks now that we'll perk up in October. From October 1st we've began to perk up. When a team is missing significant players,it usually means less points on the board. Man Utd's struggles when Bryan Robson was absent. The centre half at Liverpool a season or two ago.Two examples. The season is not a sprint, but a marathon. We have an excellent coaching set up. You anti Bartoners are getting a wee bit cleverer in your crusade against Bristol Rovers manager,I'll give you that. Demanding instant great stuff from the team because it should be easy to beat FGR eg.Then hoping Joe's team does'nt reach the high standards you pretend should be 'comfortable ' for Rovers. As I said,Nailsworth beat Bolton Wanderers Saturday. It's a competitive division, any fc can give any fc a good game.I love it. Remember that do you? Enthusiam for the game Even though your argument is now "a wee bit cleverer" ,it is still all about your desire to get rid of Joe and not about football. A ridiculously negative, miserable and boring way to look at football. Sad and pathetic.

Oh and going on what I saw of the Exeter game, from the Big Bank, the 3 at the back worked fine. That's a decent point at a fc that just won at Barnsley. Competitive division,etc,yawn...

Someone mentioned possession and Cambridge having 62%. Having been at the game and seeing where most of that possession was,it wasn't threatening at all.
We could easily have won by 4 clear goals but for their keeper.

Apart from Courage Best. Excellent brew but never reached the heights of Bass out of a wood cask. Remember George's? A great Bristolian bitter.
