How on earth are we conceding 54% possession to a team like Cambridge??? At home🤬 We close the U's down quickish,so the U's usually passed sideways or backwards.Their possession often did'nt create. We've created more good chances. Cambridge ar'nt so bad Oldie. A very average L1 team I would say. Whatever they do with the ball, we cannot score if we don't have it

Will 114 points be enough to go up?

Only problem with today was three daft bookings. Every one of them was right and the ref was the best we've had for years.
Anyway, 2-1 flattered Cambridge. Magnificent performance from every player (Gibson maybe excluded) and Ryan Loft was easily man of the match.
Loads of positives from today.

I think we did enough and deserved the 3 points.
The first half saw Rovers create a few chances and we might of scored 3 or 4.
2nd half the U's came at us,but James made some good saves and our defence stood strong.
There was alot of hard working performances today.
Great to see Josh Coburn score the winner!
I think Coburn,Gibson and Gibbons being available has given the squad a lift.
I'm really liking the Finley Rossitter midfield.Jordan being my MOTM.
Lofty had an up and down performance, but he gave it his all.He could hardly move in the last 5 minutes or so.
Gordon was excellent.
The October 'perking up' continues as we move out of the bottom 4.

Stats: BRFC 2 Cambridge United 1 - 38% - 62% - Shots 15-17 - On Target 6-5 - Corners 7-4 - Yellows 4-2 - Referee: Ben Toner - Attendance: 9,007.
Josh Coburn scored his first goal for Bristol Rovers as the Gas got back to winning ways with a 2-1 win over Cambridge at the Memorial Stadium.
Middlesbrough loanee Coburn prodded home a superb Aaron Collins low cross to crown his league debut for Rovers in the 56th minute.
The West Country side had taken the lead in the 17th minute as Collins won a free kick and Luca Hoole flicked on before the ball eventually found the net via a deflection off the unfortunate Greg Taylor.
In the 34th minute Cambridge won a penalty when James Belshaw brought down Sam Smith in the area.
The visitors were unhappy when referee Ben Toner blew for the spot kick before Joe Ironside shot into the unguarded goal, but the U's striker stepped up and then scored from the spot instead.
Ironside also went close with a header on 48 minutes but Belshaw made a vital save, while Taylor headed over the bar from a corner in injury time.

So not booking their player in first half shows inconsistency. I bet if you asked Cambridge fans at half time they would say he was giving Rovers everything. Was he really excellent?

I was one of the possibly thousands that appealed for a hand ball and a Rovers penalty in the first half.
🙂😉
