We have played the U's in 35 games since December 1971, W20, D8, L7, We have won 4-1 & 4-2 and have lost 6-1, we have won the last 3 games. Cambridge were founded in the same year that the went down, they play home games at the Abbey Stadium, which has a capacity of 8,127. Manager Mark Bonner is 36 and has managed only Cambridge in 136 games, W61, D27, L48 with a win rate of 44.85%. Their main rivals are Peterborough United Other lesser rivalries include those with Northampton Town, Colchester United, Luton Town and Stevenage. Famous ex-managers were Ron Atkinson, Chris Turner, Gary Johnson, Ian Atkins, Roy McFarland and Jimmy Quinn. Cambridge are in 10th place, BRFC are 21st, this is a must win game for the GAS.

The U's enjoyed a very good start to the season, but, they've only won only 1 of their last 5 3rd tier games. They beat Morecambe, more than we've achieved so far.
Their defence held out for two thirds of the game against Derby County, eventually conceding 2 and not managing a goal themselves.
In the scenario we underestimate Cambridge United, then we'll deserve to get beaten.I can't really see Joe allowing any underestimation.
So far this October we have perked up.JB will have a bigger squad to choose from. It's our defence that needs to improve, although apart from 2 'crazy' moments of self destruction at St James last Saturday, our defence was good.
Very much looking forward to it.
Come on Rovers!

Tight pricing at the bookies. Generally: Gas win 6-4 Cambridge win 7-4 Draw 5-2

just a view from "outside the box" is this a case of "must win" ........ if no victory [1-0 is sufficient] are there signs of communication problems on the field ?

I think 3 points would of course come in very handy, but "a must win game" it is not.
Real signs of continued improvement from the Exeter game (to today) is what I want to see because I believe once this team/squad is firing on all cylinders, we'll be fine.
Having said that I very much hope we beat the U's and I think we will.
2 0.

It does seem an age ago since we beat Oxford 1 0 our last home league win.
Another 1 0 win today will boost confidence ahead of some tricky away trips.
Would like to see 45 mins of Josh Coburn in second half.

Should Cambridge be a big challenge for us? Due respect to them but not at our place. Hoping for 3-0

I would also hope both Clarke and Jasper did enough In JB’s eyes to be starters today I have mentioned several times how much I rate Clarke - If given licence to roam then expect more rapid defence breakouts, more mazzy runs ( the new Lines) and more quality goals - Clarke to score if selected and also go for 3-0 UT🔥🔥🔥

Not so good news! Pen - 1-1 How on earth are we conceding 54% possession to a team like Cambridge??? At home🤬

1 1 ht.
I think it fair to say Rovers had the better of the first half. We've created a few good chances.U's are dangerous.
We're attacking the Thatchers End in the 2nd half, hopefully we'll continue create chances.
Substitutions may prove vital.
Come on Rovers!
All to play for.
