The uk judicial system is a complete joke due to Political correctness and human rights! I would lock up any first time shop lifters or petty little criminals up harshly, and intentionally so to make an example of them to create a fear in our culture that they will be punished if caught. We don't have that currently. First time Shop lifters 1- 2 years, re-offending shop lifters 5-10 years. Anyone carrying a knife without using instant 10 years without an reduced sentence. We have young idiots following thinking it's gangsta to carry a blade and our laws create that. I also never get it when people say we don't have the space to accommodate that many criminals....well I would build tower blocks of new prisons on one of the many islands we own, 50 stores tall, no windows, and built to punish.. in crammed humane still, but punishing conditions. No TV,PS5 etc... Just a bed, toilet excess and to books help educate ,and 1 hours exercise daily. As for the cost.... We are one of the richest countries in the world, we have money and will make it back once society feel nervous about their potential actions and the crime rates fall of the next generation. I agree but I would go further as a country we should look atΒ places where there is very little crime and emulate their methods of controlling crime,Singapore sounds a good place to start. Mecca? ππππ

I agree but I would go further as a country we should look atΒ places where there is very little crime and emulate their methods of controlling crime,Singapore sounds a good place to start. I don't know, I'm not in favor of severe punishments like caning or hanging for the minor criminals..π But like I stated, I've got no problems with banging up a petty shoplifters who keeps re offending but are just let back out being draining our financial system etc.. by banging them up for 2/5 years as punishment and being made an example of. I just went to my local shop ( like 10mins ago) and a group of English teens came in and I saw them steal chocolate ,and a few other things while another girl tried to buy fags but was refused due to being underage. Im not going to grass on them, as the system does not support me to do so, or getting involved, and the two young Indian premier shop workers would have had to deal with aggressive teens over a couple of quid and they are nice, non aggressive guys. But if this kids knew that they could be punished for those...really naive, and innocent acts today, then there is no chance they would do anything greater down the line. But I think for more extreme crimes like Murderers, rapist, pedophiles and terrorists ( all of which I believe should never be released or can be trusted to be rehabilitated in to society for our safety) - then I honestly believe once you get to that level of evil and darkness, then I think human rights go out of the window and we should used this waste of oxygen for science experiments and testing, rather then on innocent animals.

Two suitcases containing human remains left on Clifton Suspension Bridge as police hunt culprit..by Emily Jane Daviesi.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/07/11/15/87204897-13623693-image-a-60_1720706791353.jpgTwo suitcases feared to contain human remains have been found by officers in a 'disturbing incident' - as police launch a manhunt to find the person who left them there. Officers were called to the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol just before midnight after onlookers said they saw a man acting suspiciously. When they arrived ten minutes later, they discovered two suitcases set down next to each other. Inside they made the horrifying discovery of what is believed to be human remains in both of them. Police are now hunting the man who left them there after he fled from the scene before officers arrived. Aerial photos from today a white forensics tent set up on one side of Clifton Suspension Bridge as police carry out their investigations. i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/07/11/14/87203949-13623693-image-a-84_1720705280400.jpg

Not a stabbing but: Teenager sent new girlfriend Snapchat message calling her four-month-old son a '***t' who kept 'spitting his dummy out' days before he shook baby to death aged just 16 - as he is found guilty of murder..by Elly Blake.

Carl Alesbrook, who is now 19, said defenceless Elijah Shemwell was 'being a little ***t' and complained that the baby kept spitting his dummy out. His violent outbursts caused bleeding on the brain, whiplash-type injuries and multiple bone fractures to little Elijah between November 2021 and January 2022. He carried out the assaults aged 16, just weeks after meeting the baby's mother, India Shemwell, and was regularly trusted to look after Elijah while she was at work. Alesbrook, of Upper Greenhill Gardens, Matlock, denied causing any harm to Elijah but was unanimously convicted of both murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent by the jury at Derby Crown Court on Thursday. He showed no emotion as the verdict was read out, although there were tears in the public gallery. It can now also be reported that the baby's mother previously pleaded guilty to two child cruelty charges. Shemwell, who is now 23, admitted she did not dial emergency services more quickly after Elijah became unwell. The pair will be sentenced at a later date. i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/07/11/14/77032379-13623939-India_Shemwell_22_is_charged_with_two_offences_of_cruelty_to_fou-a-26_1720704421162.jpg India Shemwell, 22, admitted two offences of cruelty to four-month-old Elijah Shemwell

But why leave the cases by the ticket office..?

I hope that the soldier recovers, maybe time for servicemen to be armed whilst in uniform.

Some of us are waiting to hear the facts before jumping in or have busy lives and can't always post. It's still breaking news. Best wishes to the soldier and his family, hope he recovers from his wounds. I see they have arrested someone now.
