While I don't disagree with the op, I have a question, should a Club President be a shareholder? Any opinions or expertise?

but not in the Directors car park I don't think he will lose sleep over that. I am sure you are right about that - Geoff is a big boy - BUT it shows the pettiness that exists within the club - and if I may say so - you are a victim of that

I don't understand what you are writing Paul. I think the historical position of Club President is not an irrelevant distraction. It is part of the fabric of the club that the board are custodians of. What I also find rather sad is that you see the worse in everyone by thinking it mischievous. The appointment of Geoff as President would be a one minute process in a board meeting, followed maybe but not necessarily by a prsentation at a match. Hardly something that would prevent a March up the leagues. Overall, I think it is time to stop all this animosity on all sides and start trying to come to some compromise. I think Kevin has taken a step in this direction that should be applauded, not derided, by you. Funny. It’s only the aspiring boardroom fawners that celebrate the importance of these positions. It’s an irrelevance to the rest of us, who look to what is happening on the pitch as well as the progress of the stadium as being the most important factors. Even under normal circumstances, the vast majority of supporters would not give a jot about such positions. So why now? It would be just a sideshow that would not be the fitting tribute to GD while Rome burns. To even suggest this, you, Kevin, EB, etc obviously don’t feel the pain that the rest of us are going through at the moment. Leave it until a time which we find ourselves in better circumstances. It would then be more recognised and appreciated as the correct thing to do.

Nurse Ratched is talking complete rubbish as usual. The man who has done everything he can to retain the status quo. Rome has been burning for 4 years or hasn't he noticed?

So we want a man who has raped the club and continues to screw us after his resignation to be our president, grow up and find out the truth Have you irrefutable proof of what you are saying?

It's not a personal insult, he's rubbished a perfectly reasonable and simple proposition. He's an insider with a political agenda, otherwise why is he on here attacking Northville with such relish?

It was sad to notice yesterday that the name plate for Geoff Dunford's car parking space had been removed already (less than seven days after his resignation) - how petty can our BOD get? - and what chance of him becoming President? - suggest that is nil What goes around, comes around.

When the late Denis Dunford resigned as a director of the club I proposed to the board that he should fill the clubs vacant Club President position. Now following the resignation of Geoff Dunford after nearly 30 years service to the club IMO it would be fitting that he followed in his late Fathers footsteps and filled the vacant position. f**k that

Thats standard practice in all companies if you dont work there any longer then your parking space is removed immediately, you should know that Kim,the same as if you have a company car the moment you leave you lose the car

.. and of course Rovers have always been run like a well organised company in the past!
This just sums NH up, the sooner he sells up the better, although there seems nothing less to sell apart from debts.

And is not standard practice in ALL companies as you suggest

GD said on Twitter that the name plate was removed at his own request.

If Geoff had indicated in February that he wished to stand down, the appointment to President had loads of time to be considered. And even if Geoff had wanted his car park space removed, someone should have said don't be silly, you are automatically a Vice President of the club and should keep it for that reason alone.
