Friday 4th November Results
Super 12 - Group 1 - Ireland v New Zealand - Venue: Adelaide Oval, Adelaide - Ireland won the toss and decided to fieldNew Zealand 185-6, Williamson 61, Allen 32, Mitchell 31no, Conway 28, Little 3-22 Ireland 150-9, Stirling 37, Balbirnie 30, Dockrell 23, Ferguson 3-22, Santner 2-26 New Zealand win by 35 runs New Zealand became the first team to reach the Men's T20 World Cup semi-finals with a 35-run win over Ireland, combined with Australia's margin of victory over Afghanistan in Adelaide. New Zealand captain Kane Williamson top-scored with 61 off 35 balls as they posted 185-6, while Josh Little took a hat-trick for Ireland in the 19th over. They then restricted Ireland to 150-9, with Lockie Ferguson taking 3-22. England will join New Zealand with a win over Sri Lanka on Saturday. A defeat or washout would see defending champions Australia, who beat Afghanistan by four runs, progress to the last four. Ireland will finish fifth in the group, meaning they will still have to qualify for the next T20 World Cup in 2025, with only the top four sides in each group guaranteed a place at that tournament. It has been an impressive campaign from Andrew Balbirnie's side, who beat West Indies in the initial qualifying stage and then England in the Super 12s. Group 1 Tableichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/F14B/production/_127517716_-191fefca-5589-480d-8436-87d585a6b8d2.pngSuper 12 - Group 1 - Australia v Afghanistan - Venue: Adelaide Oval, Adelaide - Afghanistan won the toss and decided to fieldAustralia 168-8, Maxwell 54no, Marsh 45, Warner 25, Stoinis 25, Naveen 3-21 Afghanistan 164-7, Rashid 48no, Gulbadin 39, Gurbaz 30, Zampa 2-22, Hazelwood 2-33 Australia win by 4 runs Australia beat Afghanistan by four runs in the Men's T20 World Cup but failed to achieve the net run-rate swing required to further boost their chances. It means if England beat Sri Lanka by any margin on Saturday, they will progress at the hosts' expense. If Sri Lanka win, Australia will join New Zealand in progressing from Group 1 to the last four. Australia needed a big victory in Adelaide to pile the pressure on England but could not break free with the bat as they were restricted to 168-8, meaning they had to keep Afghanistan below 119 to have a chance of pipping England on net run-rate. In the end Australia, without injured captain Aaron Finch or the curiously dropped Mitchell Starc, were almost beaten, which would have ended their hopes entirely. Afghanistan reached 99-2 after 13 overs of their chase before three wickets in four balls - a brilliant Glenn Maxwell run-out and two for spinner Adam Zampa - swung the game back towards Australia. Rashid Khan then smashed 48 not out from 23 balls but with 22 needed from the final over, Afghanistan came up short, despite Rashid flogging a six and two fours. Earlier, David Warner gave Australia a fast start with 28 but the regular loss of wickets checked the scoring, Maxwell top-scoring with 54 not out from 32 balls. Credit should also go to an excellent Afghanistan bowling performance with Naveen-ul-Haq closing out the innings brilliantly and taking 2-20. Saturday 5th November Result
Super 12 - Group 1 - England v Sri Lanka - Venue: Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney - Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat.Sri Lanka 141-8, Nissanka 67, Rajapaksa 22, Kusal Mendis 18, Wood 3-26, Rashid 1-16 England 144-6 (19.4 overs) Hales 47, Buttler 28, Stokes 42no, Hasaranga 2-23 England win by 4 wickets England survived a scare to reach the semi-finals of Men's T20 World Cup with a nerve-jangling four-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in Sydney. Chasing 142 in the win-or-bust match, England were cruising at 75-0 in the eighth over before a collapse of 5-36 put them in peril. They needed 13 from 12 balls with four wickets in hand but Ben Stokes' calm 42 not out took them to victory with two balls to spare at the Sydney Cricket Ground. It sets up a semi-final in Adelaide on Thursday, most likely against India, who need to beat Zimbabwe on Sunday. 'Our best game is ahead of us' - what they said England captain Jos Buttler on BBC Test Match Special: "It was a lot more nervy than it needed to be, but we found a way to get the job done. "I still think our best game is ahead of us in the tournament. We have done enough to get through and now it's about going to the real knockout stage and expressing ourselves. "Ben Stokes was there. He's a proper match-winner and he showed that in a different way today." England bowler Mark Wood: "I was as nervous as anything waiting to bat with my pads on. My heart rate will hopefully come down. "We move on to the semi-final. We want to go one better this time, having gone out at that stage last time. If it's India, it will be a great match." Sri Lanka coach Chris Silverwood: "England have power all the way down the batting line-up and great options with the ball. They have the potential to go on and win the tournament and I'll be watching with great interest." ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/480/cpsprodpb/17428/production/_127527259_chris_woakes_ben_stokes_getty.jpgichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/240/cpsprodpb/1448A/production/_127528038_ben_stokes_getty7.jpg

Super 12 - Group 2 - South Africa v Netherlands - Adelaide Oval, Adelaide - 12am
Super 12 - Group 2 - Pakistan v Bangladesh - Adelaide Oval, Adelaide - 4am
Super 12 - Group 2 - Zimbabwe v India - Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne - 8am
India will progress with victory over Zimbabwe or a wash-out.
South Africa need to beat the Netherlands in their final game.
Bangladesh must beat Pakistan in their final game and hope India lose to Zimbabwe, although they could still miss out unless they improve their net run-rate.
Pakistan must beat Bangladesh and hope South Africa lose to the Netherlands (or the game is washed out) or India lose to Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe are all but out. They need the Netherlands to beat South Africa, Pakistan-Bangladesh to be washed out and to beat India. Even then they would also need to vastly improve their net run-rate.

Sunday 6th November Results
Super 12 - Group 2 - South Africa v Netherlands - Adelaide Oval, Adelaide - South Africa won the toss and decided to field.
Netherlands 158-4, Ackermann 41no, Myburg 37, Cooper 35, Maharaj 2-27 South Africa 145-8, Rossouw 25, Klaasen 21, Bavuma 20, Glover 3-9
Netherlands win by 13 runs
South Africa are out of the Men's T20 World Cup after being stunned by 13 runs by the Netherlands in their final group match.
Set a testing 159 to reach the semi-finals, South Africa lost regular wickets on a tricky pitch and were tied down by an inspired Dutch side.
The defeat means Pakistan, who beat Bangladesh by five wickets in the game that followed at the Adelaide Oval, leapfrog the Proteas and progress with India, who have qualified courtesy of South Africa's defeat.
After a tournament packed full of surprises, this stunning result is possibly the biggest shock of them all.
South Africa were seen as one of the tournament favourites while Netherlands are the lowest-ranked side in the Super 12 stage.
Super 12 - Group 2 - Pakistan v Bangladesh - Adelaide Oval, Adelaide - Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat.
Bangladesh 127-8, Shanto 54, Hossain 24no, Soumya 20, Shaheen 4-22 Pakistan, 128-5 (18.1 overs) Rizwan 32, Haris 31, Babar 25, Nasum 1-14
Pakistan win by 5 wickets
Pakistan will face New Zealand in the Men's T20 World Cup semi-finals after a nervy five-wicket win over Bangladesh.
Chasing 128 to win, they made hard work of it in Adelaide, but Mohammad Haris' enterprising 31 off 18 balls proved pivotal as they won in 18.1 overs.
South Africa's 13-run defeat by the Netherlands meant the winner would join India in the final four from Group Two.
It seals a remarkable turnaround for Babar Azam's side, who lost their opening two Super 12 games.
Super 12 - Group 2 - Zimbabwe v India - Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne - India won the toss and decided to bat.
India 186-5, Yadav 61no, Rahul 51, Kohli 26, Williams 2-9 Zimbabwe 115 all out, Burl 35, Raza 34, Ashwin 3-22
India win by 71 runs
England will face India in the semi-finals of the Men's T20 World Cup on Thursday as Rohit Sharma's side secured top spot in Group Two with a bruising 71-run win over Zimbabwe.
They posted 186-5 with Suryakumar Yadav smashing a masterful 61 not out off 25 balls, to add to KL Rahul's 51.
Zimbabwe were unable to get going after losing Weseley Madhevere first ball and were bowled out for 115 in Melbourne.
Pakistan will face New Zealand in the first semi-final on Wednesday.

Wednesday 9th November Result
Semi-Final 1 - New Zealand v Pakistan - Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney - New Zealand won the toss and decided to bat
New Zealand 152-4, Conway 21, Williamson 46, Mitchell 53no, Neesham 16no, Shaheen 2-24
Pakistan 153-3 (19.1 overs) Rizwan 57, Babar 53, Haris 30, Extras 10, Boult 2-33
Pakistan win by 7 wickets
Pakistan reached the Men's T20 World Cup final after a thunderous seven-wicket win over New Zealand in Sydney.
Chasing 153 to win, Pakistan openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan hit half-centuries in an opening stand of 105 to tee up a stunning victory.
Babar, dropped on 0 by NZ keeper Conway, strokes 53.
Shan Masood hit the winning runs with five balls to spare to send the Pakistan fans wild at an electric SCG.
Daryl Mitchell had earlier hit an unbeaten half-century as New Zealand recovered from 49-3 to post 152-4.
Pakistan will now play England or India - who meet on Thursday - in Sunday's final in Melbourne.
It continues a stunning comeback for Pakistan, who were on the brink of elimination after losing to rivals India and then Zimbabwe in their first two matches of the tournament.
They needed a shock defeat of South Africa by the Netherlands to keep their hopes alive, but they are now just one match away from a second T20 World Cup triumph.

Watched it and from the moment Conway missed that chance in the first over the writing was on the wall. Overall Pakistan are the weakest team in the semi finals. Except for their openers who may just about be the best pairing at No.1 and No. 2. in the world. Babar and Rizwan are fantastic and if they come off Pakistan will win. The others are decent but don’t score at a fast enough rate. Masood at No. 3 is probably a good number 3 but he scores too slowly in T20 and can’t seem to score quickly. I think it’s a simple equation, get the two openers out and you win, fail to get them out and you lose. Whoever plays Pakistan in the final will know their importance and I would expect some unusual tactics when up against them.

Yes, agree, i would think Pakistan would love to get bitter enemies India in the final, the Eng v Ind semi is so close to call TBH. It's in the lap of the gods, i do hope we are victorious in a very close game, eg India 166-9 and England 167-3 from 19.5 overs. Could be true nail-biting stuff, come 8am tomorrow will be glued to the commentary on the BBC.

I hope England & Wales win tomorrow but this form of cricket (along with its unwelcome spawn The 100) is the most hit and miss of all of crickets iterations. It doesn't matter how good the players are compared to their opposition, there is no guarantee of a win. Similarly it doesn't matter how bad you are there's no guarantee of a loss. Why try to improve yourself when it is a random outcome?

Thursday 10th November ResultSemi-Final 2 - England v India - Adelaide Oval, Adelaide - England won the toss and decided to field.India 168-6, Pandya 63, Kohli 50, Rohit 27, Jordan 3-43 England 170-0 (16 overs) Hales 86 not out, Buttler 80 not out England win by 10 wicketsWow, Wow and many more Wow's, what a game, more of that on Sunday, weather permitting, it is not a good forcast. MOM - Alex Hales England stormed into the Men's T20 World Cup final with a sensational 10-wicket demolition of India at the Adelaide Oval. Openers Jos Buttler and Alex Hales overcame a feverish India-supporting atmosphere and chased 169 without the loss of a wicket. They romped home with a massive 24 balls to spare to set up a final against Pakistan on Sunday and seal one of England's greatest white-ball wins. Hales ended 86 not out from 47 and Buttler unbeaten on 80 from 49, the England skipper clinching the match with the pair's 10th six. Earlier, England's bowlers had restricted India well before Hardik Pandya's 63 from 33 balls powered his side to what had looked a testing score. But Hales, recalled after more than three years in the international wilderness, gave England a rapid start and Buttler took on the onslaught. It denies the tournament what would have been a mouth-watering India-Pakistan finale, instead ensuring a repeat of the famous 1992 50-over World Cup final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/480/cpsprodpb/14C74/production/_127580158_openers.jpgichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/480/cpsprodpb/8924/production/_127580153_buttler.jpgichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/480/cpsprodpb/ACA6/production/_127589144_jos.jpgichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/240/cpsprodpb/E16D/production/_127590775_gettyimages-1440490483.jpgSunday 13th November

Hales and Buttler were fantastic, Buttler gave one chance but by then it was over anyway. Heck of a marker to put down and Pakistan will provide a stiff challenge. I hope England don’t think they’ve done it. I don’t think they will, they seem a grounded group and Jos B is always very level-headed. But Babar and Rizwan could do to England what Buttler and Hales did to India today. Englandto chase if they get the choice?

The toss could be vital especially with the weather forecast. The rules have been changed so the game may start on the Sunday but is now able to continue the same game into the Monday. However, the forecast is 95% chance of rain on Sunday and on the same on the reserve day of Monday.

We could see a game shortened to 10 overs, with the batting side coming out for two or three overs, then go off, come back again, rinse and repeat. This could be spread over the two days making it complete nonsense.

Though not easy it was a comfortable win and never really in doubt with our batting line up. When Buttler was out it was the only time I thought we may have problems but tbh Stokes was so good the uncertainty didn’t last long. Well done the team and Jos B, England were the best team in the competition and proved it. Those last 4 wins were all knock out matches and England showed how good they are in all aspects of the game. Had to win it in a different way to the semi final, but once the bowlers did their job all the batsmen did their bit.
