How boring would the game be if teams with money always beat teams with less. If that was the case you may as well just settle the titles on paper. We'd like to beat every team but Its the unpredictable nature of football that makes it a great game to watch and play. Studies have shown that over a reasonable time period, wage expenditure is a very good predictor of league position. Clubs that are an exception are usually associated with severe financial mismanagement. BRFC happens to be one of those exceptions. What does that tell you? Good point, It tells me BRFC have been poorly managed financially over a long period of time, that's a given. I didn't make it clear but my comments were in the context of now this season and us losing to the teams mentioned above that we should apparently beat given our alleged high budget and larger fan base. We didn't lose to these teams because of poor financial management, we lost to them because they played better on the night, had more luck, decisions went against us, we didn't put away chances created etc. All the unpredictable things that can happen to any team in any game no matter how well or poorly financed they are.

A big psychological game tonight that will in my opinion dictate the rest of the season, a rash statement I know, but win tonight will give us the impetus to go on and win the league, draw and we will probably scramble a play off place, lose and we ain't going anywhere this season. 2-1 to the Gas for me. Ahem Ha ha, okay Kudos for the score, the rest though is pure conjecture.

Attack them from the first whistle and give them a taste of their own medicine! Their game plan is to put the game to bed early doors and they've done it superbly on their travels so far, being ahead by the 25th minute(scored 12 goals by that time)in 9 of their 11 games and not conceded a single goal before the 36th minute! As they've scored in every away game we will need at least 2 goals to beat them so let's go all out for goals and make it a death or glory night. Now we have conceded just 1 first half goal at the mem so far this season so they know this will be no easy game for them but they won't be anticipating an early onslaught from us so let's bloody do it! Barnet have scored the 1st goal in 16 of their 22 games but in the 6 games they conceded first they have lost 4 and drawn 1 so like most teams they are very vulnerable when they go behind in a game.Cant wait for tomorrow night,I think we'll do them but I'd accept a defeat as long as we give it everything we've got.UTG. Spot on pre match analysis Dele.

Would you take a draw now?

We're actually only 2 games away from the official half season. If we win both of the next two matches we are on current form for a play-off place based on the past 10+ years history of the conference table. Tonight is a massive game so get down there and make that 12th man count.

Whoopee, Goldberg has signed. Nice publicity shot on OS, sandals and white socks is always a great look. Welcome Bradley and good luck!

I don't get all this we might be signing Easter hype. If there are teams in league 1 and 2 showing an interest why drop out of the FL to come to us? I don't buy the wanting to be closer to home explanation as there are alternatives to Bristol.
If I'm wrong I'll eat my own pants.

If you are consistently in the top 6 of the conference you could argue that you're in a stronger position to sign players than struggling teams from leagues above. Footballers want to win championships and possibly have a chance to play at Wembley in a play-off final rather than playing in a relegation battle albeit at a higher level.

Lets celebrate today based on the facts rather than conjecture and people plucking compensation amounts out of thin air. I'm sure there are a few more hurdles to cross but this is a huge one that has taken the best part of a year to get over. Carstairs we can be sure will appeal the decision if he can but it is a monumental task to reverse a 7-2 planning permission vote, these guys do not like to admit they were wrong by reversing an approval vote. We have a legally enforceable contract granting us a put option on the land for £30m subject to onerous store conditions. All of these conditions have now been met or waived and we are now well within our rights to enforce the contract. Our contract with Sainsburys is for the sale of the land with planning permission, not for them to actually build it. They can build a store, not build a store or decide to dig a ruddy deep hole on the site and bury a timecapsule filled with taste the difference pasties for all we care. There is strong political support for our plans now and if Sainsburys decide they want to change their minds on a SIGNED legal contract then I'm sure NH and our legal team will be seeking damages of roughly £30m being the amount that of damages that we can clearly prove plus the increase in our costs. Yes, baldersgas is correct in what he is saying Blue Mist. I think that he qualified his statement by adding that he wished to move forward ''with all of our partners.'' Blimey! I wonder if he even considered the ramifications of a YES vote until it actually happened
