Attack them from the first whistle and give them a taste of their own medicine! Their game plan is to put the game to bed early doors and they've done it superbly on their travels so far, being ahead by the 25th minute(scored 12 goals by that time)in 9 of their 11 games and not conceded a single goal before the 36th minute! As they've scored in every away game we will need at least 2 goals to beat them so let's go all out for goals and make it a death or glory night. Now we have conceded just 1 first half goal at the mem so far this season so they know this will be no easy game for them but they won't be anticipating an early onslaught from us so let's bloody do it! Barnet have scored the 1st goal in 16 of their 22 games but in the 6 games they conceded first they have lost 4 and drawn 1 so like most teams they are very vulnerable when they go behind in a game.Cant wait for tomorrow night,I think we'll do them but I'd accept a defeat as long as we give it everything we've got.UTG.

Agreed.
And got to try and get the crowd excited and involved early on too, IMO.
It's been a little flat home and away this season, but it should be a decent sized crowd again tomorrow night and if we can get it rocking then it would be massive boost to the boys.

Yes good point about the crowd participation, the occasion alone should result in louder support but the atmosphere has been like watching a car crash at times this season(silence with mouths agape)but I'm sure we'll all be right up for this one.the sheed playing will make it lively as well.

Agreed!
This fixture in L2 year before last was the best atmosphere in a long time! The Broghammer goal was sweet, then when Brunt scored, the roof came off!
More of the same tomorrow and I'll be a happy dude!

For once this season I would be happy with a draw on this ame A draws good if your 11 pts ahead but in our position we must go for the win which would give us a massive boost and keep top spot a realistic target.

A big psychological game tonight that will in my opinion dictate the rest of the season, a rash statement I know, but win tonight will give us the impetus to go on and win the league, draw and we will probably scramble a play off place, lose and we ain't going anywhere this season.
2-1 to the Gas for me.

I've just come across Martin Allen's comments about us on tonights game, i still get the feeling he'd love to manage us: With the Bees’ next opponents coming in the shape of recently relegated Bristol Rovers, who currently only sit outside the play-off places on goal difference, Martin is expecting an equally difficult challenge tomorrow night: “They are a great club with fantastic supporters who are very passionate and love their football. I was gutted for them when they got relegated at the end of last season. It is just a matter of time that they get back up into the Football League. “I have been down to Bristol a couple of times this season to watch them play and the supporters have stuck with their team. Their energy and enthusiasm will be rewarded. “They will go back up at some point. It is always a difficult year, the first year after being relegated, but it is a real tough game for us going there to play against them tomorrow. “It will be a big crowd and a passionate crowd and without a shadow of a doubt we will have to be at our very best to make it a good trip for us.” Read more at www.barnetfc.com/news/article/martin-well-have-to-be-at-our-very-best-2102862.aspx#JS30Xx12fKhS5IPg.99

Give us a scratch behind the ear and we'll roll over to have our tummy tickled but if he'd said "Bristol Rovers are a tin-pot club filled with sh1te-hawks and I can't wait to destroy them in the most savage way imaginable" Clarkey would have something to gee the players up with.

To be fair to Martin Allen he's actually said this quite a lot - and not just when we play his teams either. He actually seems to like us - we don't like him much though do we really after he got Ollie sent to the stands in the bust up at Reading in the near miss year (I always thought that was the exact moment it all went downhill); so it's a bit odd.

Allen wanted the job after McGhee was sacked, he said so on the radio a while ago. He even said he had a conversation over the phone with Higgs about it at the time.
Personally would of loved it if Allen came here.
