Not sure really new "news". Probably, sadly, most would do what Taylor did. No surprise GC is not liked - probably wants effort, application & workrate. An alien concept to some of our players (or ex—players). Couldn't agree more. See that Sinclair bloke, always went missing. That Sinclair always had a month or two out with injuries

TN must be in the plans, otherwise he would be transfer listed (unless it is thought that nobody would come in for him.) can you think of anyone? I cant, apart from Bath

He lives in Stevenage, not a million miles from Gillingham, and he wasn't our player

The thing about Sinclair is that he is always injured for a couple of months each year. As for Clarke, versatile but his passing was a bit predictable, still he will enjoy going to Plymouth next season

Mmm, wonder how many of our current squad will be a target for the new Walsall manager. Not enough

If Nichols is any good he will go to Walsall, but he has another year on his contract (Thanks DC)

I have certainly been a vocal critic of him at the mem, today though I thought the kid was outstanding. The trouble for him in this side is that he doesn’t have the gorilla alongside him to create the knock downs he can ghost in on. He reminds me of Alan Clarke alias sniffer of the Leeds united team of the 70’s, he had Mick Jones to do the heavy lifting, Tom should be using the bags of finesse he has to sniff out and bury chances in the same manner. One goal could well set him off on a consistent scoring run.Someone says that every year

'the other side of the coin is the ones who got on the bus with me in December, the ones who had my back for the last four months. They have really, really dug deep for this football club and gone above and beyond the call of duty, they need to be rewarded as well' implies that there were those who didn't, I think Players like Lines don't have to run their socks off to go beyond the call of duty. They save their energy doing what comes natural to them; setting up goals, among other things. Good for him for not being a yes man to a style of play that was foreign to him, being Rovers born and bred. and got slagged off when he went to Sheffield Wednesday. On all the boards there was a lot of bile thrown at him. His personal problems have made it so he was not available for a long time, and he wanted to get away from Bristol, hence Northampton and not Wallsall

At the moment it is about not losing. It is about grinding out results to keep us safe so I can understand why there is no place for lines, however an awful lot of people forget the bile he was given when he left to go to Wednesday.
Now let me put myself in that position...………. Play in a lower league on £600 a week of Wednesday on £4000 a week. Just give me a second to make up my mind. Wednesday everytime, as for the snake. I would sit on a bench for £10k a week, and of you think that figure is wrong, its what the Prem pays it's youth team players

To be honest the previous season post Christmas the writing was on the wall with 4 wins in 21 games. DC should have gone a few weeks earlier, I believe his knowledge and contacts at league 1 were not very good, especially looking at his "league" one signings. One goal Nichols and Payne are two, you can then add our 2 goalies, both of which barely reach the "average" level.

The owners should always be supported, but they do have to run the Company correctly which includes filing docs on time and reporting to ALL shareholders (AGM). The future is brighter than it was a few months ago (league position), but it could be a lot brighter subject to some matters being resolved. So we should always "support our owners". What like the despicable Oystens (recently departed Blackpool), or SISU at Coventry? You have to draw the line somewhere. I'll back our owners when they actually deliver something tangible. ie a new stadium, a substantially redeveloped Mem or a Training Facility. They have been here over 3 years now. Talk is cheap. So in theory you have never backed any owner is our history? As none of them have built a new ground. Geoff Dunford came the closest by getting us the Mem. As for 3 years, in football that is nothing, ask Lansdowne

ONE league goal in almost 2 seasons, and he has at least another year on his contract . Thanks DC 2 league goals (1 pen). Just for the record. The Pen was in the Mickey Mouse Cup (ironic really)

Higgs gave a lot away to UWE in terms of revenue from the car park and food nd drink outlets. Also Rovers had to provide a creche, study rooms and jogging track for students to use. Plus they would not sell that land, and the stadium had to be named The UWE Community Stadium, and that is why Rovers pulled out. Like May, Higgs deal gave too much away

As far as I remember it wasn't the selling of Eastville that was the issue nor the selling of the lease. It was the significantly high rent increase demanded by the owners (including some who are close to 'ex-directors') that forced Rovers out. As for UWE if we had become leasehold tenants giving up a significant amount of car park and match day income how would we have had the money to progress? When I read about these discussions with 'recent ex-directors' I know that there is an agenda behind what they say and they obviously want to turn fans against the current owners. I am sure the current owners can do that for themselves, they don't need an 'ex-director' who was party to us nearly becoming bankrupt. It was the building of the M32 that was our downfall because the moment it was built with the eastville junction the land became seriously expensive
