The Big Match Revisited on BT Sport 2 has the home fixture from 1976 of Rovers v Charlton @ 5.15 today.
BT often show 1970s editions of The Big Match with the excellent Brian Moore. Well worth a watch.

Went to have a quick look around this morning. Pitch seems to be coming along nicely; even covering of grass. No sign of any other development other than the area behind the open North Terrace being fenced off. But then it doesn't take too long to put up a tent!

I bought two Adult Ground Entry tickets for tomorrow's (Friday) RL 50 over game @ Taunton, starting @ 11am. Unfortunately, for family reasons, I can't now use them. They cost me £20 each in advance; admission tomorrow is £25. If you could use one or both @£15 each (ono!) let me know. I live in Bristol and will ensure you have it/them by the end of the day.

........... I would be pleased if we signed him, assuming Stoke release him. ...............and there's a point. If Stoke go down they may seek to offload any out of contract more expensive players, and others may choose to leave anyway. So Stoke could well end up offering Telford a contract anyway!

He’s out of favour because he has done very, very little in league games. Nicholls does far more with the ball. You’ll never, ever get these points over to the average fan. Bennet had a terrible first 20 mins, first 3 touches lost the ball. My entire group were saying how awful he is. I could see from the way he controlled the ball and his movement he was a good footballer. It’s the same folks who hate lines because he doesn’t run like a headless chicken. The same fans who want us to “play the ball forwards” and “bring the back line up and compress play” because these tactics are fail safe, obviously. Someone should tell Clarke. Telfords OK, could come good, but I think it’s mainly driven by folks wanting to dig Nichols because they’ve totally written him off and see it as a binary choice, and have decided to “support” Telford instead, despite him loosing the ball constantly and doing very little with it. Having watched Telford in at least three Development Squad matches I'm afraid I have to disagree. In one of those matches Nicholls played too. One was peripheral and anonymous, the other was hungry, active and dangerous in front of goal.

I reckon other clubs will be looking at Dom come the end of the season. If he sees more chance of getting first team action elsewhere who'd blame him for saying thanks for the experience but goodbye?!

Two evenly matched sides; the main difference being Telford's finishing First goal a low left foot drive across the 'keeper into the right hand corner from just inside the box. The second a delightful left foot lob over the 'keeper from a through ball. Solid performances all round: www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2018/april/17.04.18-dev-report/

Has Terry's death been acknowledged at the beginning of a match? We do it so often for a variety of reasons and I would have thought this was a most deserving reason. Yes, there was a respectful announcement before the Charlton match two weeks ago. Thank you.......I hadn't noticed! An announcement or a minute's silence/applause?

Yes, then strangely I don't think there was a question which related to BRFC. Was he intimating that we are so insignificant that no-one would know anything about us?!

".....unfit, attention seeking incompetents...." like that old waddler Howard Webb (World Cup Final ref: 2010) and the outrageously obese Mark Clattenburg (Euros Final ref: 2016). whatever happened to Uriah Rene (sp?) ...............and Gurnham Singh?

Yes. Connor hardly pulled up any trees with Rovers, but I think he is following a reasonable development path. Do you go to development games then ? I may start to go myself as I’m not really enjoying games lately There's one tomorrow (Tuesday) v AFC Wimbledon @ Yate Town, ko 1.00 pm.

The girl did not go before because she is a converted s***head and has been doing penance People get real its a fictional Video no different than EastEnders The video is fictional? Are you saying that we are all subject to some form of mind control and we've imagined that the video exists? Now that would be some kind of hidden agenda! Perhaps you're on to something here. Forget a new stadium; just issue each fan with a VR headset. Play the game and then 'transfer' it onto VR in a spanking new stadium!

Not sure it sends the correct message ... girl left at home despite being a fan? Seems to imply you have to be a minimum height and age to attend games! Could have been much better ... shown faces of really young fans at games interspersed with footie clips Not getting the correct date is very unprofessional That said good to see that a video was used Yes, good to see a professional approach by the club but............... Young girl left, seemingly, alone at home for best part of 2/3 hours. Boy can go to match but not girl.............. Height an issue? I've seen parents bring younger children with those small plastic steps to stand on.

You know @chewbacca , I’m no old Tote end fan of Ian but was always polite to him. I personally think he’s been harshly treated as he was not supposed to have ANYTHING to do with the pitch but was stuck into ti bat and on a topic he knew nothing about. With payments being made in an haphazard way and sometimes extremely late, my first port of call woukd have been the contractors. IH was held accountable yet it wasn’t him writing the payment cheques. Yes, not his biggest fan but I feel he has been left to carry the proverbial can here. Cut him in half and he’s blue and white quarters, that’s fir sure. At least this was dealt with without courts and IH was fully paid up. It seems to me that all people with longstanding ties to the club are being cut. Maybe a good thing but time will tell. I suspect there's a little more to it than the state of the pitch.

Will I be able to tick a tiny box saying that I don't wish to be contacted by third parties and I don't want my details forwarded to related organisations?

on a sidenote have those 2 oily b******s masters and bss reported any of this ? BSS is no longer a SC Director; he stood down last year. I saw him though at the last home game. Whether there will be a replacement is anyone's guess. (ie No.) KM keeps his head down (or up, depending which way you look at it).

So we have a President a Chairman and a CEO. Which one do we blame when things go wrong? All very confusing...or perhaps that's the plan. Too many chiefs, not enough stadiums. Looking at our ground and the away terracing and parts of the East Terrace some might say too many chiefs and not enough wigwams.
