But as Wigan are providing Nicholls services to us completely free of charge, can we complain too much? But it does seem to me that we have compromised ourselves by turfing out the Chesterfield goalie (who many seemed to think was a better stopper), presumably on the basis that we had to pay for his services, and irrespective of their ability. We might not be paying money but his continued selection is costing us plenty. That may well be true, it all depends on who you speak to. Some like him, and others do not. It's the way of the world it seems to me.

Where do I meet up with the team coach on Saturday please? The first line of my post is qualified by the second paragraph, which you failed to include in your reply.

It's just getting a bit old with people jumping all over the keeper for every defeat. Taylor is the only striker doing the business in the entire squad & our shortcomings from central midfield is nothing short of tragic. Not to mention Mr Bodin being the only wide player who looks bothered. Gosling & Montano are doing really well of playing themselves out of a contract. A fair few really need to roll sleeves up and start taking responsibility. But as Wigan are providing Nicholls services to us completely free of charge, can we complain too much? It is actually quite embarrassing! It most certainly is, but after a few seasons you become immune to it all. Assuming that you last a few seasons that is.

I haven't read that, so I should welcome a link if it's possible. But on the positive side of things Eddie Jones has said that Danny Cipriani, Manu Tuilagi and Dylan Hartley will all be considered on merit for a place in the England team. The slate is wiped clean. Oh . . . (and more positivity here ), he'll be singing God Save The Queen with the best of 'em.

When you look at the length of his contract, my heart sinks. I'm not sure how long he has here, I thought we had to give him a 3 year deal to get him to agree to come, but just looked at BBC sports website and they reported it as an 18 month deal? If you believe what was reported in the media at the time of Easter's signing, it was (as you say) an 18-month contract. In broad terms that was for the remainder of last season, and the whole of this one

Waste of an evening. Stevenage had to do very little to win that. Taylor worked his socks off, apart from that it was nothing short of pathetic. And that's where we are as a club, beaten at home by Stevenage FFS, and they barely broke into a jog doing it. Standby to repel boarders.

Did anything come of our interest in the Irish player (sorry, but I've forgotten his name but he was playing in Ireland) that Steve Yates was sent across to assess? I haven't heard any more about him. Heard he is going to Brighton. Thanks for that. I did think that we were a bit ambitious there, but then again you never know do you?

let's hope Paris finds their Achilles heel That's very droll that is. But on a slightly different tack I see that not only is Chris Lines playing again tonight, he's captain as well.

There does seem to have been some movement on Lee Haskin's purse. It's been reported that ''with the fight being called off, Haskins will not receive his full purse, though the financials are to be ironed out with Golden Boy promotions which will hopefully cover some of the training camp expenditure and travel costs.'' So that's something positive at least.
But I do like your idea Bernard, of the promotors suing Caballero for any shortfall.
