Guess most on here are happy with the massive increase in islamic extremism and everything that goes with it .does anyone listen to the news! Fair play to them. Not at all happy with it. But I'd rather drown in my own vomit than think that a load of bullet head Alf Garnetts on a pub crawl are representing my views. I prefer hope to hate.

I suppose they'll have us playing home the same day as that whatever division we're in There's two hopes of that happening: No hope and Bob Hope!! No way will Avon & Somerset OB allow both events on the same day.

It's not our money so who gives a f, plus he's ckeared all that debt.. Maybe your plonker of a chairman should ask him for a £30 mil loan? Pocket change for us ? I just think of all the nurses, police and teachers Lansdown's money could, and should, have paid for.

Millwall fans won't forgive Ollie for missing the chance to have a good row with Chelsea.
He's a goner.

Creating an atmosphere is very much like making love to a beautiful woman. It should always be passionate and impulsive. The minute it starts to become organised it ends up being stale and predictable very quickly. Blimey, I'd better tell the wife to cancel the Monday 7:30-7:45 pm, then. Don't you mean 7:35?

Saw the Pogues version down the Studio in 87 (I think).
They seemed somewhat surprised at the instantaneous 'mixed' reviews from the audience.

Won the 50/50 last night and donated it to the BRFC Academy.
I'm sure we had a thread on this when King Kev did likewise so surprised at no mention of it? As Kevin has been banned since before this forum was formed you are patently talking bollox.

Its not having a moan tho is it? It is convenient poison. Where is the praise from these people after a good performance? A couple of words compared to constant venom aimed at the latest Rovers scapegoat Darrel Clarke. We all moan but these people are something different. You know full well what these two posters are getting at and it is not just those who moan. I have said it all along there is a Hidden Agenda on here which is not present on the other forum. Don't suppose you will ever share what that 'Hidden Agenda' is? Or are they just weasle words when an argument is lost.

Who really cares about a bloody "Top down review"? All I want is a return to our League status and this season. Get the right signings in January and we will get that. It will be the best review possible..sideways,backwards,top to bottom ..who bloody cares. Its the Football that we watch week in week out that I care about. Yeah, players are like robots, you just buy them and off they go. The running of the club definitely doesn't impact on how much money there is for new players, how they are found, how the recruitment is handled, how they are attracted to the club, that just happens. Who the hell cares about a youth system as well? Yeah buying players might cost more, and the players will have no link to the club or the fans, but who cares about that? Also all that rubbish about the system of play they go into, the facilities and personnel used to coach them, how they are managed and motivated, how their transition to the club is handled, how their contracts are handled, all of that mumbo jumbo won't affect their performance one bit... 90% of fans want exactly the same as stevek. And therein lies the crux of the matter.

As that photo was taken in Blackpool on 5/2/1990 I can just add the following little ditty relating to that day:
All things bright and beautiful All creatures great and small Rovers won the Championship And City won f**k all.... Again.

We at least agree on your first point. Thing is, if the board knew a few years ago that we weren't good enough, why did nothing change? Look at Wycombe - stayed up by a miracle and now they're top, and they are fan owned - no Higgs or Dunford to spend a few quid and place debt on the club in sight. Wycombe are a good example because they now have directors who are brought into the club because of their expertise and standing in the local community. They are not 'self-important' people who pay for the honour of being a director. Portsmouth too are worth looking at for inspiration. That's because Wycombe and Pompey are both run by Supporters Trusts, ie the fans. Geoff Dunford peferred to surround himself with acolytes. He's very much a Marmite character. I find yeast extract repulsive as well.

Thanks for that. I'll pass on that video. I went to school the day after that game as one of four fans in Downend School that hadn't supported the winning team that night. I don't need a video to remember it. Anyway I've distracted your thread long enough. Carry on gents.... I was the only person in my department at Sun Life who supported the winning team. A 7am arrival and a dozen Western Daily Presses later...

Mr Stuckey,it is true to say that it is noticeably quiet on this forum when Rovers start having some success on the pitch. A winning team leads to very small match threads, while a losing one tends to have pages of disgruntlement (normal? for this forum yes, but always to the point where you sense that some of those making the comments are enjoying it). I know a winning team is pure poison to those who have an entrenched negative disposition towards the football club, hence they never come on here to say much (let alone be positive) when things start to go well. Comments from an ex-supporters club director along the lines of "Shouldn't you be doing your school work on a Sunday?" really is not good form. At least he got elected. As for the football, people seem happy, so I was going to leave it, but since you insist. Great isn't it, we beat established Conference team Wrexham, bankrupt Lincoln, Nuneaton and Woking and we are all supposed to think that everything's great? It's embarrasing to be playing competitive matches against these pub teams. Let's pretend that we haven't been turned over, comfortably, by 2 part time teams this season already. We should never be in this cesspit of a League, we shouldn't even be in L2, so well done Higgs, how many millions of the equity in our stadium have you lost so far? Thank heavens he got elected. I remember what the alternative was... ?

He needn't waste his time as sainsburys won't go ahead with the development anyway so save your breath you s***head twat Your wrong! You base your assumption on hear say that you read either in the press or on the Forums. You are of course right... I don't think there is any evidence that Carstairs is a Ted.
