Also the majority of the crowd really got behind the team, we were even singing in the west enclosure!

When we are all singing Irene there is just a wall of sound around the ground. Loved it when we were singing and supporting even when Woking were applying pressure to our goalmouth. DC commentated about it in his interview about the difference it makes to the players having our verbal support even when we are defending. Compare that with Cotterill's comment saying he want's their supporters to make more noise !

Question, doe's anyone know what the highest attendance is in the conference? I'd hazard a guess maybe Luton has it? Wonder if it's over 10k? I honestly think if were going well towards the end of the season a 10k+ crowd will turn up.

I keep saying give us a half decent season and we will flock back to the mem! I mean if we would be where the s**t are now we would sell out every week, that lot take only a hand full away from home and only get a sad 13000 odd at home! I mean would they take 1800 to an away game in the conference? Our fans are fantastic and after 4 wins on the spin I feel it won't be long till we get 7s on the gate again! Providing we keep winning that is! UTG!!!

Would City take 1800 away to FGR in the Conference? You bet they would, we have been where City are now, and we didn't sell out every week, we were pleased to get 10,000. Our support is very good for a Conference side, and City's is very good for a division 3 side.

Rovers have not averaged over 10,000 since 1975 a second division season which is now the Championship.

This isn't 1975 though and let's be honest a lot of things have changed , crowds dwindled after the 60s and more so into the 90s , even when we were at twerton 5000 in division 3 was considered an half tidy crowd, every Rovers fan pretty much knows our potential crowd wise but with the odd occasional season our mediocrity on the pitch speaks for itself which in all fairness is credit for the crowds we still achieve, makes you wonder how much we would've had had we not endured such substandard football and all it's attributed over the years

Would be interesting to know what our break-even crowd is now. 9000 seemed incredibly high and presume its fallen with the cut backs.

Seems a much more sensible figure wsm, I recall that figure being quoted in the late 90s.

Would be interesting to know if these break even figures quoted assume we don't have any success in any cup competitions. Assume they have budgeted assuming we get knocked out in a certain round or perhaps have not taken cup revenue into account at all.

I'm pretty sure we only budget for the first round of each cup only. Most seasons it's spot on !!
