Just got back.. Lovely eve on the malecon glos road where the drinks in the restaurant is cheaper than the pub!? At least you can pay cash though.... and have a choice. Anyhoos, onto something far less important.. As 0-0s were going, this one was heading in a decent direction until m o m LT decided to do something special again, like make another run. His precision passing and breaking runs is a gem... he's also laid on more balls than my ex. Definitely worthy of accolades here. And, Bags until substitution... don't know why? I thought he was our best defender. Scotty again looking dangerous. Yep we played some pretty stiff until the penalty area...but we're getting around this and dominating some teams in final third. Really liked Luca tonight and Vale. Even Evans passed one decent ball... I think we possessed better technical abilities than Cambridge who were well organised, physical and fast....they looked dangerous from set pieces and counter....yep they're a good strong architect 3rd division outfit. Nice for CM to continue to score. The pen award was soft, and a joke shot really, we're obviously in this zone where can't define a penalty taker atm. Good job we're not off to Euros I guess. A good win, I suppose, MT .... Now we move on to Peterborough and jch love in. What could possibly go wrong...? I’m on board as soon as you mention Glos road, grew up directly on it from 5-21 yrs old. Even after moving away (as was the parents house) I lived in Eastville, Fishponds, Frenchay, Emersons, but whenever I went home to BS7 I used to sit on the wall outside of my parents house and be entertained by the everyday ‘goings on’ and it was usually very entertaining. On Saturday’s in BS7, home games my brother and I would leave home at 10.30am for a slow and enjoyable walk up to the Vic, usually knocking on the door to gain early access, before sauntering on to the Oak and Wellie, as well as regular friends, we always met loads of the usual faces that we knew, but yet did not know, and then always had a laugh meeting the same people at an away game trying to place the face ha ha…. Lots of effort last night, and we got the result we needed, but it could have gone either way. Love that post! The bounty of the Road was made available to me some time before Gas moved to the Mem!? I'm sure we would recognise the same old reprobate faces that act like wandering monsters in a dungeons and dragons way!

Get your sun tan lotion out as we're on Severn Beach so you know what sort of match to expect!
Anyone who wants it more will get it.
So, if we stuff Cambridge I'm sure Gary Monk will give them a mouthful.... imagine that? A mouthful of Gary Monk... 🤔
Anyways I digress.... £5.10 is too much for lager in this establishment, I guess we'll have to try another.....oh and the match?
Yea...a bore 0-0 probably. Only 2 to go after this....🥱
Enjoy the eve everyone....*hic*

That's not us on the programme... Wasn't that our black and green kit. Yep...very rare TV footage of that greeny blacky kit in action. Tom McCallister in goal, in red..

Luton Town 1 Bristol Rovers 0 - 18th April 1981 - League Division Two - Attendance: 9,009On a bumpy pitch, Luton Town had to rely on a dubious penalty decision, given when Stein falls over in the box, before condemning Rovers to Division 3 next season. McAllister is adjudged to have moved early when saving the first attempt from Moss, who welcomes a second chance. Liking the Luton home kit... Not often you see us wearing red!?

UTG! Great win today. On another note I've been perma banned from gaschat due to Hugo and his merry band of snowflakes. Great signing for gasheads.org 🙂 It's a shame you appear to only use this place after getting kicked off of the other place....? We're like your after thought, but there's a great amount of work behind the scenes to keep this place going by kind and time lending individuals just so you can lounge back at your convenience. Not that many care worry or think about that. Anyways, welcome back ggmi why not think about swinging by more often when they lift that perm some say suits you...?

Freedom of speech without inciting violence should always take presidency..... if you think anyone is a wum or posts things unpalatable, block them or better still just not react and read something else....but to ban?
I'm not sure this course of action is ever justified.
I'm not party to the ggmi full circumstances, but if nothing else, at the very least, it's why there should be at least 2 independent forums and am grateful for admins voluntary work just to allow an expression be allowed to continue here.

On the way we performed yesterday, my advice to KP would be: donald where's your brown trooooosers.

Just got back.. From stop start iFollow.
It looked like our team with full potential v our team last time out!?
Well well well, you play your strongest team and hey presto!? ....you get a positive response!? Who would have thought it...?
It kinda makes the last few matches where presumably we haven't played our strongest available team, a bit of a joke on those paying and travelling Gas fans.... because not everyone lives in BS7?
MT comments..... what a plum.
Really liked some contributions today. Scotty was immense and a constant threat. Scored a record breaking goal and finished well.. My m o m.
Baggy looking like the stable defender we've needed all season, added a goal to his CV and hit post too.
CM worked hard and his timely header set up the assist for 2nd goal.
And of course, welcome back, Rossiter.
LT just loves running at them. Nice assist or two . Wing back? Ok for a few minutes, but his best position is attacking wing play.....so the formula was simple all along, MT, play players in their rightful natural positions and balance the team out!?
Also, think about playing 2 up front at some point..(?)
Cheltenham were poor. Heads went down on the first goal. DC has worked a miracle just to get them into the running for relegation escape, but they're slump in form at this critical time and a horrendous last couple of matches might prove too much.
At least he can dust himself down. And take the lesson you can't have your snake and eat it... 🐍
Well done MT for a regulation win, but for me over all, the jury is very much out.

(for me) welcome back, Bas. Nice o p.
Tough choices today for this one....I mean, flip flops or sandals!?
Overpaid, non interested, and some only have a four game potential to ever see again in Gas shirt....make the most of this spectacular festival!
I'll plump for a 1-0 Gas win. Deflected own goal. Won't be easy, they're playing for their lives.
Safe journey everyone and enjoy the next sh!t show...

Thanks for being patient as tour has all but finished.... much like our season.
CPB firmly contention winner and still in driving seat, yet miraculously we're all in it to win it....can we catch CPB in the race to ground zero on points (and probably goals scored) in what could be a record breaking finish to the season!?
We'll have to wait and *yawn!* see...

Just got back.. Quickly as still on tour.
Better. Much better. Finley Luca Anthony Scotty Taylor and Jed Ward all done well.
Nice to see Grant Ward back but everything he done never worked out.
Their22 was manhandling everyone and got protection from a tepid ref....
Martin missed a sitter. Jervani unlucky. Nice to see Luke back but he missed target too
Huff and puff 0-0 fair result and we all move on to hat trick golden boy return..... what could possibly go wrong?

Point of order o2. Surely you can't change your prediction after the first game of the month kicks off? There's a lot riding on this! I've hear the cash prizes are immense. CPB virtually changed their score before the month had started and crucially before the first match.... and now finds themse in the driving seat for a winning position!?

Just seen the 6 min post match comments.... Thats somewhere near 1000 travelling to Lincoln and Burslem.
Absolutely no apologies for the amount of time and money expended supporting those who just don't care.
MT must step up and get fans on board even if his players aren't....or it won't end well for him, because you and I will be here long after he's a forgotten bad memory.

Bristol Rovers player ratings vs Port Vale..by Tristan Cork.i2-prod.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/article9197381.ece/ALTERNATES/s810/0_3564630jpgkeeper.jpgJed Ward - 6 Made a few good saves and could do little for either goals. Rovers' best player, which tells its own story. Luca Hoole - 5 Was hesitant for the first goal and didn't get forward as much as Rovers needed. James Wilson - 5 Beaten too easily by Dipepa, who ran the veteran centre-back ragged when he came on. Connor Taylor - 5 Looked composed on the ball but former Gas teammate Ryan Loft caused him problems. Lewis Gordon - 5 Had a few nice moments in the first half but was sacrificed as Rovers needed to push forward Kamil Conteh - 5 Also hesitant for the first goal and wasn't able to impose himself on the game like he has done since arriving from Grimsby. Sam Finley - 6 Some great moments in the first-half especially, but wasn't able to get forward enough. Harvey Vale - 5 Had Rovers' best moments inside the Port Vale area, but wasn't able to fashion a clear cut chance. Ended up back at left-back. Scott Sinclair - 5 Didn't trouble the Port Vale right-back at all, really, and played too much on the periphery. Antony Evans - 5 Wasn't given a chance to get his foot on the ball and create anything as Rovers struggled to get anything going in the final third. Chris Martin - 5 Too many times, the crosses went over his head or didn't reach him. Suffered from a lack of quality service and finesse in crucial areas. SubstitutesBrandon Aguilera (for Gordon, 56) - 6 After an epic journey from Los Angeles to Vale Park he came on and looked busy, had his moments, but was unable to make it count. Grant Ward (for Finley, 62) - 5 Tried to add some stability in the middle of the park. Rovers ultimately need to see him starting. Luke McCormick (for Evans, 63) - 5 Great to see him back in the action but the game had got away from the Gas at that point. John Marquis (for Conteh, 80) - N/A Subs not used: Matt Cox, James Connolly, Jevani Brown Those scores too generous.
