I have to assume, as always, that the first example someone uses is their best example, otherwise the person presenting the point would be deliberately failing to present the best argument they could. Why would you do that? Anyway, moving right along, as you seem to want to defend the indefensible, any comment on Ashton Gate being used in the marketing picture sent out today? I never said it was god, bad, right or wrong, just that Rovers aren't exactly the only club. would you like to try
Swansea Sheff Wednesday Lincoln Shrewsbury Port Vale
I am sure I could find more
again. doesn't make it right
With all due respect, I don't care what other clubs are doing, unless it's something positive that we can benefit by mirroring. This is putting pressure on people to pay for next season far too early. But now we are playing ping-pong. What about City's stadium being used in the background of our marketing material? Are Swansea using images of Cardiff's ground, maybe Shrewsbury have a picture of Wrexham's stadium? I'll bet you a shiny new penny that they don't. I think it's a joke being played by a S'hed within the advertising agency Gorringe has employed and he's not familiar enough with Bristol to recognise what the picture actually is. The person in the image is looking directly at the DSS Arena, it's a joke, and we are the butt of it.

Hold your fire, Bamber! I'm sure this is a teaser for a video which will out-do last year's tear-jerking winner.
I fully expect it to reveal that the punter in the picture has been to the other place, hates it, and is rushing (back?) to the only club in the area with integrity.
The poorly written instructions are intended to be ironic. Surely?

I've been trying to track the route of this young man, running to cross the Avon both down by the new cut's weir with the posh end of the floating harbour, then strangely much much higher up over Brunel's Clifton suspension bridge, overlooking Ashton Gate, where I presume he was unable to purchase the blue and white quartered babygrow he missed the birth of his child to purchase, having then been briefly in front of a Memorial Ground pasty hut.
Iconic images of Bristol, for a tourist or a 1982 supporter, I suppose. Not too Gas though.
I didn't like it very much. Bambie's gonna hate it.

He must have been cidered right up. Crossed the Clifton suspension bridge at least 3 times. Professional quality. Baffling content.

'kin hell, this is miserable b*stard post number 2,500. You're just getting started young 'un. Now, about this ridiculous video, the bloke's a moron with severe co-ordination problems, maybe he has an under-developed hippocampus? I find Uber an efficient transportation solution. I certainly wouldn't go on a wild jog around the wrong side of town having been advised that 'Her indoors' had gone into labour. It's an attempt to copy last year's advert, sadly it falls short. Including The DSS Arena is just wrong. But I suspect that the agency still sent in a hefty invoice. Thinking forward to next year, we've gone from a 5 year old to a new born baby, if this pattern of regression is continued what / who will feature in next season's advert?

It's the money we spent on Stefan Payne To quote Boris Johnson, "spaffed up the wall". (An unfortunate turn of phrase given the context but hey ho).

Huh?? I didn't mean you, Concept, I was despairing at the juxtaposition of BRFC's 'news' with the boy Degg's nonsense on another thread: I wonder how many tickets Bradford have sold for tomorrow. I've heard most people in Bradford can't afford a TV. This could be their first view of a big screen or even a small one in the bars. Got to be a sell out on their part surely. Whippet TV viewers need not apply. Silly, eh?

Bristol Rovers are disappointed to announce that there has been a further delay to the installation of the big screen at the Memorial Stadium, meaning it will not be in operation for tomorrow’s game. As previously stated the club purchased the new 30sqm screen in July last year from Stadia Solutions, a leading international sports and entertainment agency that specialises in fully managed technology and media platforms, with the aim of having the screen installed next to the Brunel sponsored South Stand by the end of 2018. Although the screen was delivered on time in October, due to its size a special bespoke support structure was required to attach the screen to the current steelworks at the stadium. Unfortunately, the unique nature of this structure led to various complications with Stadia Solutions’ sub-contractor, resulting in subsequent delays with installation. Work started this week, ahead of the new proposed completion date of this weekend. However, the contractors have experienced further unforeseen issues on site which has delayed installation slightly. The team has been working tirelessly to fix the problems encountered but unfortunately screen will not be installed and operational in time for tomorrow’s game which is hugely disappointing. Work will continue next week and completed as soon as it possible. We apologise for the further inconvenience and would like to thank all supporters and screen sponsor Brunel Professions for their continued patience. www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2019/april/12.4.19-screen-statement/
