It's about this time that notice is given of the SC AGM. More often than not it's held in the first part of October. More precise detail of when it should be held is in the constitution:
'8. Annual General Meeting 8.1 The Annual General Meeting (“AGM) will be held within 4 months of the end of the financial year and no later than 15 months following the date of the preceding AGM. 8.2 All people who were BRSC members for the season to which the AGM covers will be given no less than 14 days notice by post (or other method of communication deemed appropriate by the EC) of the date, time and venue of the AGM. Admittance to the AGM shall be on production of that year’s membership card. 8.3 Reports and Accounts will be available at least 14 days prior to the AGM. Members may request copies in advance be posted to them subject to the payment of a small administrative charge or may collect copies from the Kingswood HQ from two weeks in advance of the AGM. Extracts from the Report and Accounts will be posted on the BRSC website at least two weeks in advance of the AGM. 8.4 Notification of the AGM will include details of all those nominated people who were elected (opposed or unopposed at the last AGM) together with a list of EC members, the number of meetings they could attend and the actual number attended. Information relating to any members standing for election and details of the election procedure will also be included.'
Given issues around the handling of finances in recent years it's important that the SC presents its audited accounts. Ken Masters is the sole SC Director, and according to the constitution the elections for that post should come around every three years. Are they due this year?
Have I missed any announcement? If not what's going on?

Thank you for the info Angas. As no notice has yet been given of elections I assume that as it stands Ken Masters' term of office is about to end.

A fraction of what was happening when Jim took over again, but to be fair, there's some good work being done there.

Haha! Oh, brother.. Well intentioned no doubt, but you have to wonder if all of the other £46,000 has gone to the best possible use. And just for clarity, the Supporters' Club have donated nothing, this is money from us supporters, spent on Rovers related items and services.

It’s a Supporters Club, not a donate money to a football club club. Suggest you look up its constitution since 1948 its prime aim is to provide donations from club funds to the Football Club. That's is sole purpose that's why you contribute to share scheme, 50/50 tickets and why you buy from supporters club volunteers match day programmes.
from BRSC 2.6 To render assistance and support to BRFC in particular and football in general by every possible means

Yes, I've quoted this before and is why the SC do not 'confront' the board/club. It is assumed that the SC supports supporters, it does not. When I was assaulted by a policeman at Swindon (who hasn't ?(lol)) and I approached JC he said, "what's this to do with me?" We have a Supporters Liaison Officer, but she is too busy really to do much. Perhaps the SC needs a change to its constitution.

Rename it the "Donation To The Football Club Club" then, it does nothing for supporters.

I think we can assume that they need to look again at their constitution Harry, check 2.8, in fact, I'll save you the trouble, How long ago did they sell that, well over 2 years now isn't it?

From last years AGM Minutes:- (7). Amendment to Club Rules There were none proposed by the committee. Phil Draper however stated that he was embarking, on behalf of the committee, a review of the constitution and rules of the committee since as they stand they are both unwieldy and lengthy. It will be a fully transparent process and will be put to the AGM next year. bristolroverssc.co.uk/2017/10/18/minutes-of-our-last-agm/

Those funds are in their reserves for use by BRSC members use at the new Stadium so I was told recently by Jim. Are you attending their AGM to discuss changes to the constitution ?
