One for the U'23s i think, provide some competition for Kieran Hodges. The U'23s seem to have no problems signing players, 3 defenders already signed up this summer for them.

I think droitwich gas is being ridiculously fair to Mr Higgs. Pretty sure DC can have 95% of the plaudits for putting that team together (and with a drastically reduced budget). The circumstances under which we lost Snake Bench-Warmer are well documented. If we'd had a chance to replace him (which we were denied due to that vile piece of scum deciding to go on dead-line day) - then I think we would have made / been very close to the play-offs. That situation wouldn't have been handled any better (and quite likely significantly worse) with the 'old regime' in place. The next squad DC puts together will be better than the last one. We'll finish higher than 10th next season. If anyone would like a friendly bet on that - let me know. I stick a tenner on that with you. As much as a really like DC, he hasn't got the contacts within the game. That comes with time. I think we need to be having a large part of our squad together for pre season training. Unless we have a budget as good as has been alluded to or we are looking for bargain basement deals... again

Contacts for permanent signings? One expects agents to have more control than anyone theses days expect he has loads of cvs everyday. For loans then we have Swansea QPR Palace Chelsea Stoke On our radar with players having been hear giving views to other players.

There's few places available for the hundreds of league quality footballers searching for work. If anything, it's not chasing everyone that's key

Unless we have a budget as good as has been eluded to or we are looking for bargain basement deals... again £10 it is. I think you're being harsh on DC. He has brought in fantastic players (non-league and lower divisions) as two promotions and a creditable 10th on our first season back in Division 3 can testify. Some duff players admittedly, but on balance - players have been a major success. Do I think he will bring in even better players? Yes. Does he have the budget to do that - I hope so. Do I think he will spend £5.3mil on a random frenchman in yet another a bizarre publicity stunt? 9 goals out of 36 in a piss-poor Ligue 1? No. I don't think DC would do this (even if he had the budget). Because he's not a tw*t.

1 week on and still nothing. One player in, 9 more to go with just a few days to go before pre season training starts, i know it's tradition for the club to pull the shutters down over the summer, but what the feck has been going on for the last 9 weeks, i thought DC got married and wanted the summer off last year? Posted bwfore transfer window officially opens, priceless.

Posted bwfore transfer window officially opens, priceless. Yet another poster who doesn't understand you can sign free agents before the 1st July. Can you help me (and maybe one or two others) out here, and can we get down to the root of what's bugging you? In what you seem to view as shocking and ongoing mismanagement of the club: Who do you thinking is failing, and in what way; what should be done differently; who do you think should be sacked (or sell up), and can you suggest replacements? [Please confine your alternative approach to the club continuing to operate on this space-time continuum, or else explain how we get off it]. I'd be happy to adjust my expectations if I think there's a better alternative (although I'm going to take some shifting from a sense that this is the best I've ever known, so have a strong tendency to stick).

For that sentence to be grammatically correct and actually make sense - you will need quotation marks around "before". Otherwise much better. However I would suggest the initial mis-spelling of "before" (bewfore) is a typo rather than a spelling mistake. Anyway, grammatical "bants" aside - would you care to answer the questions put to you by Seth Starkadder?

Well at least all the squad will be getting a game this weekend with two same-day friendlies. Certainly some of the four (or all) triallist goalkeepers will play, but they are U21s. We might even see our Jordanian friend in action.
