I didn't agree with those on the pitch while we were still playing at the Dagenham match, but once we knew the season was over it was less of an issue for me. The difference today was that there are still games left to play on that pitch, and they didn't care. Only interested in being able to say they ran on the pitch at Wembley. It was just selfish and ignorant. As it's never happened before in my memory it goes to show that they rest of the teams who play in this country agree. It's just not done at Wembley! It would be like invading the court at Wimbledon! I take your point with other games needed to play, but I don't think that was the thrust of what Bambi was trying to say. Today wasn't motivated by violence. As for invading Wembley, not in league matches maybe, but one of the most iconic commentary lines was taken from a pitch invasion of the hallowed turf! No one seemed to complain about that.. Would you please stop talking sense ? Some people have run on to the pitch ! cant you you see that its the end of civilisation ? Poor old Staffordshire is suffering from flash backs from Shrewsbury etc etc (again). Please take this matter seriously...after all no one has been killed or even injured so it is a matter of huge concern...please try to get things in context !

Bradford City boss Stuart McCall said he was "close to clocking" Millwall fans who invaded the pitch at the end of the League One play-off final.
McCall said he and some of his players were goaded by supporters following their 1-0 loss to the Lions at Wembley.
He questioned why stewards had not prevented the invasion.
"We're absolutely distraught, we wanted to clap our own fans, the last thing we need is people running around us and giving us verbals," said McCall.
"I think it's nonsense," he told BBC Radio Leeds. "Ten minutes later an army of stewards comes on when they should have been on straight after the final whistle and stood on the halfway line.
MATCH REPORT: Millwall promoted to Championship READ MORE: Relive Millwall's promotion as it happened READ MORE: It was Millwall's time - Harris "I don't understand why people feel they need to come over to players, intimidate us and wind us up. I was close to clocking a couple.
"I'm not necessarily blaming the people who did it but where was the stewarding? Why march them out 10 minutes afterwards?
"They should have got to the halfway line straight away and stopped anyone from coming over."
Millwall boss Neil Harris encouraged his side's fans to leave the pitch to allow the team to enjoy their celebrations, while match-winner Steve Morison claimed they had "ruined" the moment.
"It's not ideal, it's not quite the place for a pitch invasion, I've got to be honest," Harris told BBC Radio London.
"I don't condone it whatsoever. I'm just hoping there was no disrespect towards Stuart and his team.
"For me, I wanted to get them off because I wanted to see my players enjoy it and I wanted to see my players take the admiration of the whole fan base, which happened in the end.
"I think it was overzealous, a lot of people wanting selfies and jumping about. I certainly don't condone it, but I'm hoping it was lighthearted."

And yet again the thugs from Millwall can't behave like civilised people. Won't stay in their allocated area then invade the pitch. But of course, the apologists are already talking about how it was only a 'minority', problem is, certain clubs always have these problems, and everybody knows that they'll be doing it again next season, and the one after. That's a fair enough opinion (even though today it appeared to be over exuberance as opposed to malicious) but to save yourself from hypocrisy, you must equally condemn the thousands that were on the pitch post Daggers? Nope, no hypocrisy here, stay off the pitch means stay off the pitch, same for Wembley and BS7. I said on here just a couple of days ago that I would be more than comfortable with the idiot exhibitionists who ran on when Browner scored being banned for life. As far as I'm aware, even 1982 haven't ever invaded the Wembley pitch or moved to the wrong part of the stadium to taunt the opposition management and players. As for excusing it as 'high spirits', sorry but that's exactly the sort of attitude that has saddled us with that group of 50+ year old meat heads who get drunk and cause trouble at away grounds. This is supposed to be entertainment, not a mass brawl where you accept the likelihood of getting involved in a fist fight. Let Leeds, Millwall, Swindon, 1982, both south Wales clubs, Chelsea, West Ham, Liverpool, Birmingham, Villa, Portsmouth form their own League where they can play on an eight sided caged pitch with everybody inside of it, last person standing wins.

ALL clubs have their percentage of arseholes. Thankfully I think ours is relatively low. Some clubs have a much higher percentage of arseholes - bcfc1982, chelski, wet spam, dirty leeds etc etc etc. So it's not a finite no. of "naughty clubs" that have a problem - it's all 92 (to a lesser or greater degree).

At the Ricoh one of the Ray Winstone look-alike brigade -well into their 50's- stood somewhat inebriated in the gangway and was asked politely by a lady steward to take his seat.He began ranting just as the teams were about to k.o. that if he couldn't stand where he wanted he'd take the steward to the European Court of Human Right. Two minutes later the boys in blue escorted him to a seat away from the other Ray Winstones. Total embarrassment these Guys who came in to the Walsall,Port Vale and Shrewsbury games at 5 to 3 totally pissed with no interest in the match with no respect for the other genuine fans including ladies and kids. This. The club know who they are. Can't someone have a word and tell them they are embarrassing themselves and our club? It was this lot that made fools of themselves at Cheltenham a couple of years ago having some kind of pretend fight with stewards and all got thrown out. How are they not subject to banning orders?

I was in the away end last night, lots of broken souls when Exeter got their third. My 100th and probably best game of the season (for drama anyway). Not too worried about Exeter tbh. Great picture. Two great ends to the play off games. Shame that selfish morons can't be trusted to behave or we could do without having to have stewards sat there watching us like naughty children and then standing up and moving towards us every time a goal is scored. That stuff ought to be consigned to history, the only way it'll happen is with proper punishments for offenders. And that would include 'high spirits', so the idiots who rushed on and joined in the mass pile of players at the Daggers game, banned for life. If they knew that's what would happen they wouldn't have done it. Are you for real ?

Obviously, for you, that's acceptable, I disagree. Out of 11,000, 10,990 stayed on the terraces when Browner scored, as-per the conditions of entry to the event, well understood by everybody there. We were all excited, should we all have run on and got the game abandoned? So, what's OK for you, 10, 11, 12, 20, 50, 100, what's your number? I'll go with 0.

It really is a matter of perspective. Mine has changed dramatically by the way, I don't find the 50 plus or any age bad behaviour. acceptable. I found myself apologising by proxy when one of our lot shouted out you P-/I bar steward. This Pakistani guy was with his kid, just in front of us and I felt totally sick. The remark wasn't aimed at him but a Lino though who needs that crap. The guy looked at me with pain in his eyes and said do you think it's right and I said no, it's why I am apologising. We never saw them again and it hurts to remember that. The 3 black guys never turn up now either but it could be they were Junior Agogo's family as they did seem to pay extra attention to him I find it very sad to be frank but glong on the pitch, in good natured celebration is not something that keeps me up. My cats do that football is still the one very tribal sport and I'd have never missed out on that Dagenham celebration. I just hope I get to see at least one more. God willing.

I was at Exeter too, thought Carlise very poor & wonder if Exeter will cope at a higher once they loose Watkins & possibly Wheeler. Sad to see the old main stand & away end go but the place really does need sorting out on those 2 sides but not much space due to the roads and railway line. Carlisle who are a well supported side took less to Devon that Exeter took to Cumbria Sunday for a 6.30ko. The passion of our lower leagues is amazing and the volunteer work ethic at ECFC superb, they do remind me a bit of Gasheads but perhaps a little less intense. Hope ECFC make in at Wembley & that somehow we can get a Watkins or Wheeler. Rumours are that Watkins is a done deal to Southampton for £2m. There is space in front of the away terrace to expand the depth of terrace after they moved the pitch 6mts a couple of seasons ago ready for the works. Don't expect too much from the works at that end as they had a limited budget for it. The new stand on the side is being funded by the sale of land for student accommodation behind the Big Bank. That was the poorest I had seen Carlisle in 3 games this season. I think their fitness levels and injuries caught up with them but they certainly give 100% for Keith Curle. Told by an ECFC "volunteer" they had turned down £2m twice from Derby and Leeds now favourites at £3m plus. Not sure he is that good but lots of promise, if I was BCFC I would see him as an ideal replacement for Tammy but what do I know. As an Devon boy Saints would no doubt be preferable location wise but would he get a game???

Can see myself, tomfar left of Big Bank, just above crossbar, white shirt under an unzipped dark jacket, straight above last defender in the left. Enjoyed but not overly worried about Exeter in L1. the defender

I don't think many of our supporters actively protested about how badly our club was being run unlike the mass reaction at Leyton Orient and particularly Blackpool. The problem was man hours and organisation. It's all well and good meeting up for a beer and a gripe in a tent behind the Welly, but to actually get anything done requires a massive amount of effort, and a fair number of talented people. From what I saw, we had people who wanted to shout from the floor, fair enough, we had a couple who wanted to sit at the top table, the only thing missing was the thousands of man hours behind the scenes to make the thing work. Running onto the pitch at Orient will change nothing. Sat behind all of this, the EFL have their 'Fit and proper persons' test, but in light of what's happening at Orient you have to wonder if that needs looking at again and whether it's right that the governing body just sit back and allow a club to disintegrate before their eyes? Interesting interview with Richard Scudamore on radio 5 where explained the Premier League fit and proper test(they actually call it something else). Basically they look for relevant criminal convictions and determine the financial credibility in any takeover using independent investigators, these also support the FL test. But he also said there responsibility doesn't and cant extend to telling any owners how to run the clubs they own. As to fgr financially I expect they will be legitimately propped up by sponsorship from Vinces companies much the same way as the owner of Fleetwood props them up.

Presumably you believe there is a clause in the ground regulations that say they no longer apply once the final whistle has been blown? If not then the thousands, not just 4, that invaded the pitch were breaching those regulations just like the Millwall fans yesterday

Football fans on the pitch celebrating promotion. Good on them. Not sure why anyone sees that as a bad thing.

Looking at the SCMP rules, it looks like you are 100% correct, owners can just chuck money in and buy their way up through L2 and L1. I didn't say that the EFL have the power to prevent what's happened at Orient, and it's difficult to see how it can be prevented, but if you accept the argument that clubs are a community asset then the governing body should do all they can to protect that asset I would have thought? Let's see how things play out at Forest, this could be a total fiasco.
