Any news on those packets of beef jerky they hang on the beer aisle? On a serious note I've saw them in the booze aisle, what does that beef jerky taste like,I don't know so I buy the big packs of pork scratchings. It's salted beef. It's big in the States. It's spectacularly bad for you. Personally I don't like the texture. Biltong - the South African equivalent is much nicer in my view. It's tougher and even more heart attack inducing. I prefer some cockles with session beer myself.

Jus bought some BULLOX,the well hung meaty snack at £1.14,for a small pack from SA recipe.an acquired taste, wish I bought a couple of jars of cockles now in vinegar and loads of pepper.might just pop up Asda (while I can still walk )and get some. You know when you just want something.

Each to their own. To me biltong tastes and feels like a piece of old rope marinated in lard. Mmmmm rope...... Still, I've succumbed to many a doner kebab in the past, so who am I to judge? Mmmmm doner after 8 pints........
