Is it just a coincidence that toteend is posting the response to the question asked on Twitter by @_toteendbar_ ?? Coincidence. I'm only on this forum....and Twitter obviously.

Nh has a love child shocked that anyone would even admit that like saying your bin Laden and George w Bush's love child on CNN :-)
Now on to sainsburys and the mem there are many rumours floating round about how they are pulling out, the mem is actually the finally resting place of King Arthur, lord lucan and the holy grail and the blackthorn end is built from the wreckage of the ark.
Until such time as we get it in writing that either it's dead in the water or the builders move in then everything else is speculation and we will all go insane trying to second guess our glorious board who are as forth coming as a politician giving an honest answer or trying too at least

I have picked up some crisps, some bread, a packet of clementines, some blackcurrant squash, some tuna, 2 bottles of mayonnaise, 2 packs of salad that will rot in the bottom of my fridge, World Soccer's World Cup Preview edition, a copy of Pans Labryinth that was on special offer and two rather dodgy looking Easter Eggs that have been reduced to clear. I thank everyone for their concern.

So you want the board to give you an update, just suppose they said we have nothing to report but negotiations are on going, what would you say then, damned if they do damned if they dont Padstow It really does depend upon the way in which the question is answered or the statement made. If there was a straightforward, confident statement telling people that everything is fine it really might help. However when you have a track record of answers to questions which appear to be avoiding giving an answer you really do wonder. Question - "Is Darrell Clarke going to be the manager next year?" Answer - "He has a 12 month contract". Now I know I do not have the exact words but you will see the sentiment. It gives no one any confidence at all, increases speculation and then people write all sorts of things. It appears to be treating people with contempt and makes it seem as though someone is trying to be "clever" or hiding something. For an entity in the eye of the public as much as a football club in a major city like Bristol is concerned our PR is shocking. I am certainly no expert (but I do have a modicum of common sense) and I cringe so often when I read and hear statements, interviews or questions being answered by the Club. Yes there is a massive need by supporters for information. Often the Club must hate that but it really is something which they have to embrace. Videos are a fantastic medium but you must not have the wrong people being interviewed, the right people need a little direction on their body movement and you definitely need to have or use the right equipment. Websites are great but, particularly when the decreed format is not very good, you have to get the information right and keep it up to date. You gain respect by getting most things right and being honest most of the time. Then when you get something wrong or need to be slightly dishonest (hoping that it turns out to be correct) people will forgive you or believe you when you tell them that it was correct at the time you said it. The trouble is the track record...

The overpriced packets of Jerky were still there though and remained as untempting to me as ever.

I have about 1000 packets of Walkers crisps in my garage. If a Walkers driver decides to park his trailer and say " there is a pallet of returns on there" it would be rude not to have a couple.

I've asked twice now on Rovers' official twitter if Sainsburys still want to buy the Mem but I haven't been answered.
Wonderful communication.

I'm neither a gossip merchant nor a scare monger (going to say exactly what you are doing) , but I've been told Sainsbury's are out. There's certain conditions that now make it undesirable. This guy doesn't get anything from saying it, I challenged; are they just looking to get a few million off...only time tells and this was whilst at the rugby with a group so I'm feeling well hacked. By all means stick the contrary, I want to believe and feel better, but don't go personal on it as it's not what I want to think about.

He might have nothing to gain from making it up, does not mean the original source did.

Everything is sorted isn't it? Are we not just waiting for a rubber stamp re the English heritage thing.
The club rubbishing rumours on the internet (that they don't like) and confirming everything was set for when the English Heritage thing is signed off would be great wouldn't it?
