Well if it is a case of sticking to original plans then it will be more than football to look forward to. Unless it was a dream I'm sure original plans were for a pitch long supporters bar with views to the pitch, divided in half on match day but opened up in evenings for live music with a 3k capacity, happy days if that is the case. and don't forget the match day restaurants will be opened up during non match day periods to cater for the "converted exec box to hotel customers" to useWell Well it was but that was planned with the egg chasers in mind so they could enjoy their pint whilst watching the rugby (unlike us football fans of course), so not sure if that would still be part of the plans.

The same Rick Great to see him and others back Hear-the-heck-hear!!! Sorry for coming late to the party and for deleting the rest of your post, but.... PS Padstow - no rovers fan ever genuinely wanted rovers to enter administration. I hope you are well my friend. Kind regards Duncan (Stoner/Dropa)

Was his decision not to attend matches (because his friend was banned) and his decision not to write

as Gary Barlow wrote and was quoted by Rick Johansen in his excellent article in Rovers award winning matchday programme (now 84 pages for just £3 highly recommended) for Saturday's match against Rochdale .."have a little patience" ... We have waited many decades for a new stadium another few months wont hurt us. The same Rick who was unceremoniously dropped from said award winning programme under the previous admin. Great to see him and others back Hmm...I stand with him and Father Jack Hackett and have to endure their jokes. Yeah, great 😄

I think Tim Blake's involvement had ceased long before. Anyhow, regardless of the detail, I don't see there's anything to argue with in KP's post. Compare the disunity back then with the unity now. The owner back then with the owner now. There couldn't be a starker contrast.

I might be out of line here, and maybe it's to do with life locations, but I find this focus on being one-up on a non-descript football club that isn't on most people's radar all a bit sad. Let's be us, and as good as possible. If we must have a benchmark to measure and define ourselves against (but, honestly, things are better without), at least chose one better than that. I want a ground that's fit for purpose now and enables higher standards of football and the crowds that go with it. I don't want one so that I can point at it to people who won't go to it. One of the (many) good things about the new ownership is that Jordanians won't default to this low horizon parochialism. Probably a bit grumpy, there. Sorry (but the thought stands). No need to apologise, feel exactly the same. If we compare ourselves with others we may not compare so well, but why worry about others? Now and in the future it is all about us, Rovers, and us improving as a club. I would like a club with a sustainable ground that would allow us to grow, a club that is well run and a club which I can relate to as the club I started supporting 50 years ago. I think we are nearer to that than at any other time in my lifetime. I don't care about City or anyone else TBH, it's nothing to do with me and is not remotely on my radar! It's all about us and I'm excited about our future. Although a Bristolian by birth and upbringing, I'm not now and being in deepest Dorset I haven't had to put up with that other lot, you fans who live in Bristol may, understandably, have a different view of them! UTG!

I agree with every word of that (the future is definitely bright for the first time in ages ever) but I'll bet there are very few who cannot resist a wry smile now and again when a score pops up on the screen and the s**t have lost?

I didn't say I don't smile when they've lost!! Of course I do, after all I'm only human... My point was I don't have to live with the everyday stuff. UTG!

Not my circus not my monkeys. Nowt so strange as folk eh What a wonderful turn of phrase. It sums up a strange, grudging frame of mind that shows itself in places, which I'd struggle to describe.
