I await the news from either BRFC or Chewbacca - I have to say that they are both reliable sources. In fact BRFC have become slightly less reliable with both Taylor and stadium of late. Gone

Hearts or Reading? Either way - good luck to Matty Taylor and thanks for the goals that helped us get back to back promotions. However I'm not that sad to see him go. We'll get a replacement who might be able to reliably finish 1 on 1's. UTG.

Crikey. Hope we've been looking around cuz I don't see this sorted any time soon. Time to draw a line under this and move on to other targets. No player is big enough to create this level of uncertainty, let alone someone who's impact at L1 level or higher is highly questionable.

So if he was someone else's player and over the summer he was thinking about signing for us amongst other options he'd be ok would he? Would we be so impatient?

Could it be that Matty CANNOT train because he is no longer insured by BRFC

No, it's a matter of opinion, certainly not a statement of fact - and that's a fact

Well, I would have preferred for him to have signed some weeks ago, and good luck to him, but I hope the contract offer can be withdrawn and we're already looking somewhere else.
This isn't a petulant 'if he doesn't want to be here he can shove off'. He clearly fancies moving on, otherwise it would have been signed done and dusted. If he has itchy feet, best for both that he scratches them. We've had this before: someone spends all summer looking for a move, but is still here treading water at the start of the season. Given that it can come down to goal difference in added time on game 46, we don't want to be an interim team for the first 4 or 5 games. Loan players are one thing; 'pending significant revamp while someone sorts out his ideal move' is another.

Goal bonuses for an individual are a terrible idea. They can make players selfish and influence their on field decision making. You win as a team and you lose as a team, simple as. Goal bonuses have been around for donkey's years. i know at Rovers they used to have WIN bonuses and for CLEAN SHEETS.

It seems like he's on his way, which in my opinion is prob best for both parties, he keeps the affection of all the fans, & we get someone who scores more than they miss..............

We've done a brilliant job with Matt, we've offered a new deal reflective of his achievements and the market but also shown the rest of the squad we will improve players and let them leave if it's in the club and players interest. i just know there's a pearler of a signing should Taylor go who would have greater onsale value if he hits league 1 hard

I would say highly unquestionable - but that's an opinion and not a fact ! the uncertainty is only among hysterical fans who bother with forums, nobody else is that bothered, all the squad are signed up including 2 new players. if taylor goes theres plenty of time to bring someone in,which might be a loan option,it may even be better to wait until the season starts and better options open up for signings?

I think this is slightly wrong, I am sure many fans who do not use the forums must be concerned/interested and the EP has devoted loads of square inches to the story, mind you mentioning the EP may have destroyed my argument.

I would say highly unquestionable - but that's an opinion and not a fact ! Spot on. Wish he'd just hurry up and leave, he's dragged this out long enough. He's done well to knock in a few goals but I dont think hes half as good as he thinks he is. If it's Reading he'll be back on loan to a League 1/2 side by the end of the season. Might do well if he goes to Hearts as the step down in standard from League 2 might suit him.
