Hi folks nice News Jo is on this list but as she is currently a member of staff she can't respond herself. however, she would like those of you to who have written something positive to be assured she appreciates it an it is encouraging when she is going through "the new kid at school" feeling she is experiencing on match days. after all Kitey was so good he was an impossible act to follow let alone trying to do so when your taken out of the comfort zone of the confidential, intimate environment she is used to in consultation rooms and physiotherapy departments of a hospital.

In all seriousness, most of the physios I have attended have been female and it's 2015. The novelty factor will soon wear off and with it the ironic cheers. Positive news. She did not need the vultures on the sidelines to carry off Montana, thanks to her "counselling skills'. Jo 1 Vultures 0. However, I need to see a BRFC physio invade the pitch for a last-minute winner to gain my 100% respect, male or female. The Vultures, Bedknobs and Broomsticks. I loved that film and back in the Eastville days they looked just like them with their knee length trench coats, not that vultures are seen in trench coats often.

Perhaps some one could contact Keith since I don't have his email and jo would probably strangle me for doing it although I think it would be a great idea for the programme. keithbrookman@btinternet.com

No doubt the blokes making those stupid comments get mistaken for Brad Pitt on a daily basis. Well done to Jo for stepping up to help the club out, glad to hear that she is enjoying the experience.

I thought that she was fantastic last night. I could hear her tell our new recruit (Montana) "Do yourself a favour son, it's early days in your Rovers career, you have just come on as sub, so get to the sidelines and run it off, you wimp. You're the one with so-called baggage and I refuse to use the sponge in mine for a tap on the ankle." Who needs qualifications, when you have these effective counselling skills? Kitey, Stephen Peters, Jose (?) would have been proud of your decisive and successful contribution on your first meaningful treatment. The first half aborted appearance could have been portrayed as a mere tease, but was nothing more than a test for the tannoy announcer, who struggled to be audible last night and missed "debut" announcements for the physio and then Ryan Broom. She playfully kissed one of the Stewards at half-time (missed that eh?) which shows that she has the confidence to interact with the crowd, probably more so than Roy Dolling ever did. Quite a debut! Her debut was last sat ...

Does anyone object if I send some of these positive comments to Jo since she is feeling a bit of a target at the moment which has been quite upsetting for her I think it would be the very least we could ask you to do. Jo, you are going to get some stick, of course you are, not because anyone wants to cause offence, simply because you are the focus of all eyes whilst the football stops. That won't go away because that is football. What you should know is that every supporter who finds out you are doing this voluntarily will applaud you. If you come to yeovil and by misfortune are required to come on the pitch, I for one will be clapping you. Please keep up the good work and kind deed.

Right folks just to let you know that we have had complaints, we have edited posts (some at the request of those that posted them and some just to balance things up)as we do not want to offend Jo, and we would like (as admin of the forum) to say a big thank you to Jo for her sterling work.

Why is there nothing on the official site about Jo? I think it's appalling that there is no article thanking her for stepping up in a time of crisis. No physio = no game? I guess our finance director hasn't worked out that no game = no cash. Or is it that in thanking her they'd have to explain why they're in this position in the first place. Poor show, either way.
(Don't know if Vaughan's post about her talk with Montana should be taken with a pinch of salt or not, but I do know the commentary team thought he was totally crocked with a knee injury and couldn't believe it when he came back on the pitch so whatever she did, or said, seems to have worked something of a miracle.)

Massive thanks Jo for bailing out this embarrassment of a so called professional football club in yet another hour of need.

That really is sad that this is the case! I'm overseas so haven't attended the games this season and don't know what kind of reception she was getting. From some of the posts on here I have got the gist though, and it's pretty appalling to give her anything but the utmost respect! I hope our fans can redeem themselves. Thank you Jo for helping out our club. Being in front of a football crowd (even your own!) can be a pretty daunting place! Best Wishes, Mark

The fact that we're even discussing this says it all really.

Best Wishes, Mark To be fair I think most of the crowd cheered when Jo went on as she seemed itching to be involved and didn't get the chance Saturday.
Whatever happened in the stands/terraces that was aimed at Jo is one thing and perhaps has to be expected in the environment it was in (not that it makes it right)
Some of the posts on the message boards have caused some upset and there is no excuse for that, especially to a Rovers fan helping her club out and living a dream.
Jo, most of us appreciate you and thank you for giving your own time to help the club. I hope you enjoy the experience.

It's another PR disaster for the club though, as if they'd made it clear before hand Jo was helping out in our hour of need she would have probably got the loudest cheers of the night? Instead it all seems to have goner slightly Pete Tong!

Perhaps the club should post an article on everyone who helps out the club, whether paid or doing it for free. Though I think you mean they should only do an article on people you have heard of and over who a great fuss has been made. Well done for helping Jo, I think the best compliment to you was that no-one was commentating on your entrance to the game on Tuesday in the West enclosure. People will argue about sexism in the game but who drives the sexism? Can anyone name the bloke at Chelsea who José wants to ban? But God forbid José (who is a class a tosser) when he bans a woman.
