Unfortunately it seems not every raffle ticket holder won the prize they wanted? Let's hope sales for Wembley tickets goes more smoothly if should we get there.

I presume the staff had 750 away tickets so gave out 750 raffle tickets to the first 750 people in the priority 1 group. Therefore those 750 people who later went back to get their away ticket would have got it. And its just unfortunate to those who missed out. Not sure where it went wrong for people who had a raffle ticket but wasnt able to actually get their away ticket. Did the staff hand out too many raffle tickets? Did the staff give too many away tickets per person? So the first person with 1 raffle ticket picked up 5 away tickets for his mates for example? Or is my first line incorrect and instead the staff had 750 away tickets and handed out raffle tickets to everyone who arrived that are in the priority 1 group and the first 750 who arrived later was the lucky ones and 751st person onwards to arrive were the unlucky ones? No, the raffle tickets were never given out to people to guarantee them tickets, they were given out to gauge a rough point beyond which was not worth queuing.
If they had been given out to guarantee tickets, you would have had the problem of people asking for more raffle tickets than they were entitled to.
So what I presumed was wrong but the last paragraph was right?

Just think its a bit sad that despite winning 7-0 yesterday the matchthread is significantly shorter than this one...[/quote] Most people were at the game yesterday hence the over 11,000 attendance. Hence the match thread being short.

At last count there is something like 2347 people who have been to every away game this season........!
Got my tickets after arriving at 9am. It was a long cold wait but in reality worked out ok for me. Problem was supply was far less than demand, time limited and a poor process put in place. All 3 added up to deep frustration. The tickets were never going to go to regular away travellers UNLESS they were STHs and got there very early. The raffle idea was not a good one.

Really? You think people should only complain if they have a specific vested interest? Just think its a bit sad that despite winning 7-0 yesterday the matchthread is significantly shorter than this one... No pressure. Needed to put in a performance like that last week or 1 of the numerous away games against crud like Alfreton where we played negative, turgid sh*te and dropped points.

Can I remind everyone the tickets are on sale to all at Forest Green from 9am on Monday maximum 3 tickets each Good luck with that. Here is what Forest Green are saying on their official site... The club have been working with our opponents to ensure ticketing arrangements run smoothly for both sets of supporters. These procedures have been put in place for when tickets go on general sale at Forest Green at midday today: 1) Any tickets bought must be collected from The New Lawn. Although you are still able to buy your tickets online these cannot be printed off at home or sent to your smartphone. They must be collected from FGR during the week or on match day. 2) Supporters buying tickets must have purchased tickets for a previous Forest Green Rovers match. Anyone who does not apply to this will be cross referenced with Bristol Rovers ticket database so no away fans buy tickets in the home section. This may mean a delay of up to 24 hours however once it has been checked and cleared your tickets will become available. www.forestgreenroversfc.com/news/first-team-news/2015/important-note-on-general-sale-ticketsAnd point 1 above has been changed regarding buying online! Forest Green put this up on their site... Due to a high number of non-Forest Green Rovers supporters attempting to purchase tickets for Wednesday’s play-off semi-final first leg in the home section, FGR fans are now required to visit the club in person to buy tickets for the match. This means that online sales of tickets have been stopped. www.forestgreenroversfc.com/news/first-team-news/2015/online-tickets-ended-for-wednesday

I joined the queue at the Ticket office, as told to do on the website, at around 10:45, one of the staff came round at about 11:15 and went up and down the various queues giving people a raffle ticket corresponding with the number of vouchers for the away leg they showed her, and the ticket office opened at around 11:30. The queues were joined before the office opened, by other people sent over from the club shop, but a far as I heard, everyone appeared to have a raffle ticket. However it was always fraught with the possibility of a ***t up having two queues, with an uneven number in each queue wanting away tickets. You have to say it was very poorly organised. Of course, I was one of the lucky ones getting my ticket, but had already decided that if I didn't I would have to put up with BT Sport and no atmosphere! I feel for everybody who couldn't get there and/or didn't get a ticket, but cannot understand, if the correct number of raffle tickets for the number of away tickets were given out how people with a raffle ticket didn't get a ticket, unless people were given more tickets than they had vouchers/raffle tickets?

Surely they just got to count fingers to distinguish home fans?!! We have got fans in that part of the world you know. I spoke to two old fella's in the queue at FGR when we played them earlier in the season and they told me they used to be Gas season ticket holders in the 1950's when a bus would go around the villages and pick people up and go to Eastville.

Thanks You got there at 2 expecting to get away tickets? ? I couldn't get there before 2, I assumed they would have gone but I would have kicked myself if they hadn't and I didn't go up.

What a great time to be a GasHead! I remember they used to run coaches in first season at Mem from Twerton. Sadly, a thing of the past now.

Surely whatever happened fans who didn't get tickets would be disappointed? At least fans still have a chance of getting them directly from FGR, or just sitting back and watching it on the box with a pint or two. exactly. or did an avalanche just hit us and I didn't hear about it?

People love blaming others. I appreciate not everyone uses the 'net a lot but the basic info given YESTERDAY was pretty clear, re where to queue. www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/play-off-ticket-information-2423764.aspx"Seat holders can claim there [sic] seat from Pirate Leisure, and Terrace season ticket holders can buy their tickets from the Matchday ticket offices adjacent the West Stand car park." I appreciate that the reality then got confused due to raffle tickets etc, but surely the basic idea was sound and was clearly advertised. And yet, I got my seats from the West Stand car park. So clear, but wrong. so things changed due to queuing pressure? as if that has never happened before in life. My main point is that people, including volunteers, did try today. They didn't deliberately try to mess up. AND many are happy. Just some aren't. People shouldn't chuck a brick at a coppers head if they hate the government. Chuck it at Davey Cameron's head if they really want to. Or Dale Vince. We have a massive fanbase and 750 tickets is a joke. People will be disappointed at FGR's ludicrous decision to only give us 750 but then do the ticketing the way they have (general sale by 12 noon, internet sales, 3 per person). If their fans want 4,000 tickets so much how come they haven't sold out yet?

Presumably they are trying to reduce the intimidation factor of our fans and we do seem to have found our voice again these last few weeks ? Where are they going to find 4,000 fans from, don't get me wrong they deserve to be in the play offs but they'd need every man, woman, child, dogs, cats and goldfish from the village to turn up to get to that number, unless of course they are planning on renting some from the Bristol Sports Franchise Empire
