but he is not avoiding anything, he doesn't live within UK HMRC jurisdiction, he may as well live China or Poland or Australia, or France or USA, he is only liable to pay tax in the UK on his UK earnings. I suppose next you'll be claiming Ronaldo or Drogba or Pogba or Bale should be paying tax in the UK on top of what they pay in their country of residence, all because they have some connection with the UK...all jealousy anyway. I imagine he pays tax in the UK! Without knowing the in and outs if his tax affairs I would imagine he only pays tax on his UK earnings...not on his Turkish earnings or earnings in the rest of the world, although he will pay tax on those to the appropriate tax authority, otherwise he'd be paying tax on his, for instance, Turkish earnings in Turkey and in the UK which I'm sure you'll agree is unreasonable.

Bit harsh, could be typing on a phone and have bad eyesight. Just sayin like... In which case he must have thumbs the size of a baby's arm holding an orange!

So he no longer holds a British Passport then ? If he still has one that makes him a British subject - so he is avoiding tax Simple I don't know about his passport but you're wrong. Simple

I don't think you're as stupid and illiterate as you continue to ape, otherwise you wouldn't have had the wit to come up with the play on words that is "laughinggas" which is one of the cleverest handles on here...who are you laughing at laughinggas. Laughinggas you earn no respect and I have no patience to deal with a fool like you...fixed that for you.

I think back a few years when, I had been made redundant, My wife had left me, And I had no idea where I was. A mate called, not a gashead but a token one who had come to a couple of games, to say let's go to Southampton. An evening spent in another world especially when Williams hit the winner. That for me is football, escapism pure escapism. Now for some that is wrong in over 40 years of supporting Rovers I have never gotten involved in the club, it's politics or shenanigans but hey ho I have needed and enjoyed the escapism even when it's all gone Pete Tong.
Nothing to do with tax but a reason for not enjoying this forum much these days.
And I wish I could write like Irishgas but English was not my forte at school but there again maths was a different story.

The point is that regardless of where he lives, all his income is generated in this country. If his business only gave financial advice to people in the channel isles it would be fine that he paid his tax there, but when he is generating all his income in the UK it should be taxable. There is no doubt he is a tax dodger.

He could have cashed in his shares and live off the interest in his bank account if he wanted

And he would still have to pay tax on the interest if it was in a UK account ..... If he cashes in his shares and takes the profit offshore with him he will be subject to capital gains tax :-)
Lets be honest it is obvious he lives in the channel islands to avoid UK tax in one form or another, as long as he accepts he is a Tax dodger that is fine and his choice, but to bang on about how he loves Bristol Sport is a bit of an insult to those who love Bristol enough to actually live here.
